Hi, I am going to buy a softbricked Sensation XE.
The phone has been never modified, so still S-On and bootloader not unlocked.
The phone is in bootloop due to a failed installation of OTA (Sensation turned off during installation).
The fastboot/bootloader menu is still accessible (Vol down + power).
I'm searching through many threads for a guide to unlock bootloader, but all of them requires debug usb enabled: I cannot access that option, because as I said the telephone is in bootloop.
So the question is, is there a way to:
1) Unlock the bootloader, S-Off and install recovery without usb debug, or
2) Install a RUU, or
3) Do a factory restore,or
4) Any other solution?
Note that i cannot provide more informations right now as im going to buy XE and don't have it yet..

for S-OFF or unlocking the bootloader you need usb debugging mode
so you have 2 options left
factory reset and use a ruu.exe
i would sugget to use a ruu.exe
i just unlocked my bootloader using hasoon2000 toolkit but when i try to flash recovery cmd can't find it .. i turned on usb debugging and nothing
I am trying to root my mates htc one but the phone is not recognised when put into bootloader mode("usb device is not recognised. The phone has already been unlocked and has s-off. All the drivers are installed, htc sync is installed, java runtime and sdk...However my HTC desire is recognised in bootloader mode it is rooted. Not sure what to do iv tried running adb command just get stuck on waiting for device.

i know on the ones with htc sense it is hit and miss call quality (with an audible hissing sound).........

You could try to erase cache using fastboot and see if it can boot. If not try a factory reset.
If factory reset still doesn't work you'll have to unlock your bootloader, flash a custom recovery and resotre a nanadroid backup or flash a stock rom of 5.0.1.

you don't need usb debugging. Usb debugging is only needed to have adb connectivity when the phone is booted in android.
for gpe device you should be able to unlock it using fastboot from the bootloader.
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
If this method doesnt work you'll need to use HTCdev.com to unlock it.
Don't forget that unlocking your bootloader will wipe everything on your phone.

It doesn't work bro because off usb debugging is disable. I tried many times but It doesn't work look at the attachmentView attachment 3059584

It have nothing to do with usb debugging! Like I said above, the only purpose of usb debugging is to enable adb connectivity when the phone is booted in android.
Even if usb debugging is turned off, you still have the ability to use fastboot commands from the bootloader (like you have tried) and to use adb commands from a custom recovery (which you don't have access to because of your locked bootloader)
With that said, I'm sorry to tell you that what you are seeing after doing "fastboot oem unlock" (PG_ERROR) is typical of the infamous GPE bootloader bug. This bug make impossible to unlock your bootloader from using oem unlock or by using HTCdev.com method. So your phone is bricked sorry.

Maybe keep it in a drawer and hope that HTC will release a 5.11.1700.3 or higher version official RUU so you'll be able to flash it with s-on and a locked bootloader.
or maybe you could ask the guys at fonefunshop if they are able to s-off it using their method which doesnt require to boot in the rom.
Hello i have htc j butterfly it has no OS in it however it has TWRP installed but the only problem is that the BOOTLOADER is LOCKED.
And i cant flash any custom rom for this phone i keep receiving error.
The only way to unlock bootloader is to turn on USB DEBUGGING but how can i do that when i have no OS installed.
Someone pls help me i am so desperate right now.
