Hi folks,
What's the latest stock version for the US LTE original tablet. I've got mine on Android 5.1.1 from some time in 2015. It is stock/rooted/TWRP. It's time for a change so I figured I'd update to the latest version. Looks like some people are saying a nougat release happened, though I haven't seen that for the original tablet on the Nvidia downloads section.
I presume my update process would be to first update TWRP (looks like version 3.1.0.0 is latest) then flash the new Android image, reflash TWRP and SuperSU, clear cache/Dalvik, and move on with life.
Any links to latest US LTE image and notes on proper upgrade path appreciated!
Thanks
It's all here - https://developer.nvidia.com/gameworksdownload
By the way, flash the row LTE ROM on us LTE device. It works and it gets updated fast. It doesn't change the baseband so it's still uses same LTE bands
Thanks. Yesterday I flashed the ROW LTE 5.0 image, then skipped setup and let it pull down the 5.1 update. All seems well. Made the tweaks to flavor and model in buildprop. Get 4G but so far no LTE. Maybe just my location. Otherwise all good so far.

Definitely no LTE service as-is. Will post a separate thread on it.

I've managed to successfully install 4.4.2 onto Rogers bell SaskTel and telus Note 3. Modem and CSC from the latest Canadians Carrier and flashed with Odin 3.09 along with TelCel (Mexican) 4.4.2 files below. Download link file in the attached file.
Follow the instructions and have a break for kit Kat.
Also good news is if you don't like to be on 4.4.2 and want to go back you can go back from the 4.4.2 to 4.3 again by just downloading the Carrier specific official Odin flash ROM. This ROM is down gradable.
Good luck all Canadians....

Yes, we already do know this works on our phones because several of us have already done it days ago, myself included. It works fine.
hey,
i opened the attached file, not able to go to the links
So essentially this gives you stock kitkat with 4.3 modem? Does it wipe data? Trigger Knox?

Just head over to this thread for more information - @shant0nu why don't you update your original post with this link so we can reduce redundancy. No point in having the same conversation in two spots.
Change title - it is not a official update
Thanks for bring it to us.
I would request you not to post incorrect information as this is not a official update. It defeats the purpose of having a forum.
Thanks

Not you mention you copy and pasted my post from the other thread. It would be lovely if you could remove this and give credit where it is due.
Thank you .
Any news for official update over OTA ?
Hi,
Has anyone received update notification via OTA or Kies for 4.4 ?
Mostly all the model have received the update so far, looks like Canadian carries are slower then the rest to push the update.
Please update.
Thanks

I think yes. I don't know as I already have knox ox1 lol.
hello i had a question
i has to install the rom from telus, becaouse if i install another, i lost the LTE capability, and i dont know why, i tried to install this rom(telcel) and i had two problems, lost of the lte capability and i was unable to activate by this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2489766), and the second problem was the network lock, so i can use on my network, anybody can help me????
I installed this sucessfully on my SM-N900W8, but with problems
Hi everyone, I installed this method on my SM-N900W8 and have successfully updated to 4.4.2 KitKat, but there were some problems:
1- My LTE doesn't work, so I've had to put up with slow data
2- My External SDHC card (64GB Sandisk) wasn't compatible for files such as music, videos, etc.
I installed 4.4.2 right when this thread was posted about a month ago and figured that since the official KitKat update was coming soon, I didn't think I'd have to put up with it for that long, but it's been a while and still we have no KitKat.
I also read that once you flash 4.4 KitKat, you cannot go back to 4.3, is that true with this method, since the 4.3 Kernel is still the same?
I would really appreciate if someone could help me out here!
(In the meantime, I'm going to try my luck with this new 4.4.2 custom ROM that was released for the SM-N900W8: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2648843) (I believe shant0nu here in this thread authored this one!)
p.s. My carrier is Telus, if that matters at all.

You can downgrade back to 4.3 if you flashed the right files. Read the guide here.
I purchased a chinese version of the Oneplus One. The international one was too hard to get, and the only hardware difference from what I could see was the 750mhz LTE band. Before purchasing I asked if it was running ColorOS of Cyanogen. They said it was running Cyanogen. I assume they were flashing this with the CM11S rom in an attempt to capitalize on the demand for a phone that was impossible to buy. And hey, it worked because I bought one.
From what I can tell, I should have gotten a system update to 4.4.4 by now. so i checked the software version...
CyanogenMod version: 11.0-XNPH25R
Baseband version: MPSS.DI.2.0.1.c7-00020-M8974AAAAANPZM-1
Kernel version: 3.4.0cyanogenmod-g3fd6261
Build numberZ KVT49L
Is this version any different to the CM11S that should be running on international versions of the Oneplus One?
I also have the China version of One Plus One. It was already unlocked and running CM11s when i got it. Mine was version XNPH22R and i have trouble updating using OTA so i just straight away flashed the XNPH33R manually via fastboot. China version runs ColosOS while International version runs CM11s. You already have CM11s so it should be same as International but your version are outdated. The latest version is XNPH33R. Try updating via OTA first. If it fails then you can try flashing it manually.
You can grab the update at the bottom of this page.

Refers to timmaaa's guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guides-bacon-timmaaas-how-to-guides-t2839471
Make sure you know what you're doing or you'll end up in a bootloop like me.

There's only one version of CM11S and you're on it. For some reason your OTA system seems to be broken though. You can find the OTA updates and flash them manually. Refer to my index thread.

Hello everyone,
I've tried running a search for this topic but I can't seem to find anything. I've read on multiple threads that the D820 and D821 runs practically the same stock roms with the only difference between the two being the radios for LTE. Since I've just got my D821 (I'm in Malaysia and I'm sick of waiting for the Nexus 6 to debut here!), I still don't have the OTA to update to Lollipop. I'm guessing its the same issue with my GNEX back in the day where my model was maintained by Samsung's servers and hence get them slower than those devices who are maintained by Google's servers (folks in the USA mostly).
So here's the thing, I'm thinking of flashing my stock android to the Playstore version so I can get the OTAs as soon as Google releases them, but my problem is with the LTE bands. I guess my question is, if I flash my D821 to a stock image for D820 WITHOUT tinkering with my radio, will I still have my LTE bands here enabled and at the same time get OTAs promptly from Google's servers?
I did this on my GNEX in the past and it worked great and my "Asian spec" GNEX was getting OTAs within a day or two after Google announces and update (inline with the folks in the US). I just want this to happen for my Nexus 5. I hope one of the gurus here can help me with an answer.
Thank you for reading and sorry for the long post!
There is no difference between a D820 and D821 except the bands they can use. EVERYTHING ELSE is EXACTLY the same.
The stock firmware image is the same for D820/D821, and there is nothing like "country code" of samsung, and all D820/D821 use the same firmware no matter buy it via playstore or from a retail.
if you still didn't get the 5.0 OTA, you may have something wrong as every N5 should get it already.
Thank you Lethargy and Dummyplug, I checked it again and it's still 4.4.4. I just got the phone like 2 hours ago, and when I switched it on, it went updated twice. I believe they're 4.4.3 and 4.4.4. I'll give it a couple of days and see what happens.
Dear OP, I made a big mistake, I've created a Question thread in the General Forum, please move it there thank you!

You can flash the 5.0 OTA in recovery, link http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/info-nexus-5-ota-help-desk-t2523217.
Hi,
I am new to this particular phone. There's so much information here, and although I've tried to search through it I'm still overwhelmed by it all - so I'm hoping someone might be willing to help with a few questions.
I have the XT1540 model, and could use some help. I have the stock rom with TWRP intalled and backups. I was notified that I have the Marshmallow update available, but I can't install due to TWRP. I prefer to keep the Motorola provided ROM. Since this was just released, I assume no one has posted the Marshmallow "stock" rom - is that correct?
I know asking for an ETA is poor form, but you guys know these forums and what can be expected - any idea when a backup image of the Motorola provided Marshmallow rom might be posted?
I assume I can't restore the stock bootloader in order to complete the Marshmallow installation - is this correct?
Final question: Is there a highly stable, all-features-intact custom Marshmallow ROM that comes highly recommended?
Thanks in advance,
Chris
There is no estimate as to when the full stock of MM will be available. There is a TWRP backup of the final soak available over in the General forum. It's been the last soak for quite a while now and I suspect it's the final. I've run all the soaks and that last release is running perfectly on my XT1540 1gb model. It is a backup from a 2gb version but that doesn't matter, it works on either model. Once flashed you won't get the OTA but then with TWRP you won't get that anyway.

Hello, it's been some time since I've last rooted and flashed kernels on my devices. My device is having problems with certain apps and I feel it's time to update my root or change my rom or flash a stock rom etc. Here is what I am using now:
Build: MOAR v6.1 OA6
Software: G900PVPU1BOA6
Hardware: G900P.04
Android: 5.0
Kernel: 3.4.0-3859396
Would you recommend I unroot then flash a stock kernel? What is a new root I can use with this phone? Thanks
I would recommend Odin a fresh stock MM rom. Then boot to the desktop, by pass set up. Go to dialer ##72786# it will do a reactivate and update prl and profile.. Then Odin TWRP, and flash a new rom or your choice.. If you like MOAR then Odin a LP stock rom, and do as mentioned and flash MOAR 7.0 it works best. Right now, I'm running crdroid 3.8.5 baset off of Nouget with 7.1 gapps and it works very well You need the latest MM firmware to run it, and at least TWRP 3.2.1-0-ktle.img If you do flash crdroid download ktledv

First off, thanks for the reply. I really appreciate the help. What's the battery life like on MM compared to Lollipop?
I would prefer to use something like a stock rom but just extremely debloated. I also want to be able to play pokemom go without problems and super su keeps giving me problems when trying to play. Do you know of any setups that would allow for pokemon go and are fast, battery effecient, and debloated?

How's the mm baseband? I know the obvious response is updated is better but I experienced better LTE on the firmware I currently have, no idea honestly other than it's lolipop, maybe ok4? I want to upgrade phones but having trouble finding one with sprint newer that can be customized how I like so I'm also looking at playing with this one prior to and after getting maybe a pixel unlocked

I would stick with Lollipop OK4 and flash MOAR 7.0. I to find better LTE and all around connectivity on Lollipop than MM.. I once again, went back to MOAR 7.0 from crdroid.. Crdroid is a great rom, but battery life, sucks, as well as connectivity on calls and data. When in aroma and you get to the point about the kernel, choose don't touch kernel, and finish from there. I never like MM and those are the reasons why.. Crdroid I flashed was 7.0 but naturally on the MM base band, but it was still the same.
Thanks sir nobody could really answer that for me. I found the ok4 of all lollipop got the best LTE where I live, plus I'm on sprint so I'm a bit restricted on ROMs, unified dev leave some bugs with sprints network but not too badly!!

You probably already know, but I will ask anyways. Are you using the KLTEDV version of the unified ROM? KLTE roms does not work very well with sprint.

Thanks! I'll make sure to read which I should use. My daily is still on MM while my old one that's kinda beat up is now on N as it us now the practice phone. Playing with it before Oreo, may stay for a while. And I installed kltespr on both devices as there were still options available for specifically this device with the spr tag. My CM 13 network is fine, no worse than just regular sprint...
Haven't tried the move to either N or O on my daily, worried about the signal discussion. I'll use an old kltespr to test before the newer maintained kltedv if its there probably to see how it goes.

Unfortunately my sprint s5 is one of the phone with that signal issue. I was in the process of changing carrier so to try and fix that issue wasn't worth it for me. My new S5 did not have that issue, when i went to verizon, its a really weird bug.

I think it took a bit to stat with the sprint APN, changed some settings, messed with some stuff, and it seems fine now, I'll have to remember to check back at that before upgrading. I'm on the ok4 baseband
