I use Swipe Navigation to operate my phone (LG G4 h815, MM Imperium ROM). I disabled navigation bar after the edit build.prop. When I try change some aplication's android permission cropped popup "Screen overlay detected". I checked this and it is Swipe Navigations fault. When I disabled this I can't use phone because I haven't navigation bar. Switching navigation bar before each change permissions is realy onerous. Is any way to solve this? I converted Swipe Navigation as system app.
I have gotten sucked into Gesture Navigation - I find I dont need the navigation bar no more so I hide it (manually) to release more screen.
Do you know of a way to boot up with the nav bar hidden ?

Click to collapse
Add a line to the build.prop that says:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
Reboot. No more navbar.
How do i permanently make my navigation bar black? Its freakin annoying. Lmao.
X2
I also would like to know...
i'm using nacho notch to make my navigation bar black
What could be annoying about the navigation bar? Its how you navigate around your phone.... If you don't want too see it just enable system gestures so its complete hidden.
Now if you mean the bar up top that's not the navigation bar, that's the notification bar.
On the 8T, if you enable the setting to hide the navbar, it makes it so that you have to swipe up and then left/right to switch to an app instead of just swiping left/right directly. This is incredibly annoying, and I want to be able to just hide the navbar while keeping the original gestures.

Does the Fullscreen/Immersive Gesture magisk mod work on the 8T? On the github repo it says that immersive mode doesn't work on Oxygen, but I saw some threads mentioning it does so I'm a bit confused. Has anyone tried this?
Or, is there any other way to hide the bar? I also read this post that mentions a way to hide the navbar so you can use a third party gesture system. Is it possible to get an app that replicates the system swipe gestures after hiding the navbar, or do you have to use FNG for it?

I hate how the navbar looks and how useless it becomes when you hide it and I'm THIS CLOSE to switching to a Samsung because they can easily disable it on root
When you turn on gesture navigation, the navigation bar goes away.
Anyways, that Magisk module removes the nav bar on OOS.
Hi!
so i want to hide the android status bar.
I already did this by putting every app in immersive mode via ADB.
BUT there is a little downside that drives me crazy.
I navigate to e.g. the homescreen by swiping up from the bottom of the screen.
With immersive mode on it needs 2 swipes. First swipe shows the status bar, second swipe brings me to the homescreen.
I use Nova launcher and there i can hide the status bar so that the bar will not be shown on the first swipe, but that works only outside any app.
Any idea how Nova Launcher does this?
I'm on Android 11 on a S20 FE 5G if thats of importance.
Thanks!
