Can I remove the DAC in a LG V20 and put it in a G6? - General Questions and Answers

I bought a V20 on eBay. The refund from the seller never went through (bad ESN), so eBay wants it destroyed basically.. Before I do that, does anyone know if I can remove the DAC and put it in the G6? You know, like the ultimate hardware hack lol serious question here. I've been disassembling phones since the galaxy s3 so I'm not that much of a noob to it. Any advice?

LG Optimus 3D Original back cover

Hi all,
I need to buy the original back cover for my phone. It sounds strange, but I had to send my phone to repair, and they gave me the back cover, after a week, I lost it! I really don't know what I did with it. Probably I'll find it, but now that I have my phone again, it is completely naked!
Do you know where to buy the back cover??

Not exactly what you asked, but I hope it may help. (I don't work for Clove, and I don't own mentioned case, so I cannot say anything about it's quality.)
I am also looking for the original back cover...
Anyone?
I don't know about your countries but LG should be able to give you the number for the official retailers of spare parts for the LG brand unless it's LG themselves and you should be able to buy it from them.

[Q] Screen repair for rooted phone

A couple questions for a new user:
1. I cracked the screen of my galaxy note 2. I called samsung, they referred me to their repair center. I can't call them until tuesday on account of the holiday in Canada. My phone is rooted, will they repair it, even if I pay for the repairs if my phone is rooted?
2. Any idea how much it will cost to fix the screen?
3. Can I re-root my phone?
Thanks everyone
That's a good question. Idk if they would or not, but if you know what's wrong you can buy the parts yourself and fix it yourself. Galaxy is actually a fairly simple phone to repair on your own. I broke my gf gs3 and insurance wanted $200 to fix it. All that was wrong was the digitizer and the screen cracks. I found parts to replace them for cheap. If that's something you could handle I'd look into that first.
Sent from my brain to your eyes, to your brain, using my Galaxy S3, running Cm 10.1. I'm in your head now.

Idk if it applies to the s2, but on the s3 the screen digitizer and glass are all one component. if you melt the glue holding he pieces, you can replace them individually which is much cheaper than any other option

[Q] Just a bad screen or something more?

It looks like my HTC Evita has passed away from old age, I'm looking to get a G2 (would really like a G3 but it's not out yet) and was looking at this one on ebay. I'm unsure if it's just somethign that can be resolved by getting a new display or if it's a deeper issure. Anyone have any thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

PS If anyone is looking to sell a G2, I'm looking to buy
I wouldn't buy it if I were you. But if you think you can replace the screen and has done it before, then go ahead. Otherwise, it's a very risky investment there. I am tempted for the G3 too but I've heard that it'd be at least $850 unlocked so I'll stick to my G2 which I got for $400

ebay F350..are they refurbished phones?

Hey guys, always wanted a G Pro 2 and now that they're so cheap on ebay I figured I can finally get one, but it seems like they could be factory seconds or refurbished going off the some of the feedback claiming the phones are faulty from a few sellers. Anyone here got their F350 off ebay?
Cheers
I got few refurbished LG G2 F320. Depends on the seller. I have good and bad experiences with refurbished LG's. Some of them were without any problem, but some of them with bad screens, bad buttons, no 3G and 4G etc. Most of them are with bad second hand screens, loose touchscreens, no original battery, no original accessories etc... But if you find a good seller with good reputation, and a price from 160 to 180 us$ for LG G Pro 2, why not to try .
Got mine off ebay. Was sold as new but did not came with the prodective stickers around the body my first one came with. Other than that phone works fine. My first ebay f350k wifi stopped working.
It does seem to be a lottery when you buy from ebay

Even if it is cheap I'd rather not take the risk

Had mine over eBay too. My first had a dead GPS, the seller replaced it, but it took 2 months to have all this resolved. I am however very happy with my phone and the price was unbeatable. They seem refurbished even if sold as new because I first went to a repair shop with my first phone and they claimed that there was a sticker at the back of the phone that attested for the refurbishment. Opening the phone would also have broken the sticker, so I preferred an exchange instead.

I bought my F350 off Ebay in December 2015 and it was sealed, and certainly appears to be brand new. I did read the description very carefully, of course, and checked his feedback carefully. I paid just a few pounds more than the cheapest and this seller seems to be selling new units. It cost me £129.

What kind of sticker where is it located on the phone?

Samsung S6 Refurbished from Ebay- would parts be genuine?

I live a frugal life. As much as I like the S7, S6 is a great phone for me and will give me all that I need. I was thinking about buying a refurbished one off of ebay since they are so cheap. What are the chances that screen or other parts may have been replaced with non Samsung genuine parts?

It depends on the seller.

Look if the seller has a good reputation ?

I recently purchased a "seller refurbished" S6 AT&T variant on eBay and, while it looked okay and powered on okay, I ended up returning it for an original but used international variant. I'd echo the suggestion of checking their reputation as well. If authentic hardware and cost are your concerns, I would consider getting a gently used, non-refurb model that offers a return policy.... just in case!
