Somehow I lost WIFI when trying to restore my Nabi 2 to stock flashing JMZ's OLD ROM in his post. I have subsequently tried to flash other version images, but still no WIFI. Can anyone provide some help as to what I need to do to get WIFI going?

The problem happens when you don't do the OTA updates first. You can fix it by installing the OTA updates, not sure if you have to go back version 1.9.12 or if you can just install the updates at the bottom of the following post.

How did you try to update it?
Is it already rooted?
If it's rooted then you can not upgrade it without kies or ODIN.

If you can't connect by ODIN then try KIES.
If that doesn't work then call Samsung.

Probably, although they're all the same. I'd stick with an English speaking country just in case.

any knowledge of about this would be greatly appreciated
You have to start by flashing the stock rom back , then see if it restores wifi and imei comes back up ,most time ,if it's a soft brick that fixes it up
Don't forget to also flash firmware to see if it's a radio issue
