Root works?
Edit: I'd check but I'm afraid of loosing my current setup.

I have had it for a week at least

I don't think it was much of an update. I was hoping it was 7.1.1, but no. It did help my battery though. Seems to last longer.

Yup it works (using this method: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tm...eres-how-rooted-nougat-s7-edge-g935t-t3567502).
Just happened to need to reset everything yesterday and got all the newest stuff hours after it was posted. Just been trying to figure out which crapware I can remove without screwing up the phone. lol

Check for update not available at this time ...

I have an unlocked boot loader, and am rooted. When I check for OTA updates I get this message. I don't think this should be the case. The error message pops up immediately, indicating that it's not even trying to contact the update server.

I found the problem. I had greenified a service necessary for OTA updates.

Could you say which one ? I've left the OTA Updates (or similar name) service enabled, most of the other Moto services I've disabled via Titanium, and I've got the same error. Guessing it needs another one to perform the checks.
Couldn't figure out which one. I disabled auto hibernate, did a rest and confirmed it was something I hibernated. No time yet to experiment and figure out which one. If you get a chance do post back here.

Secondary Update

I'm on 4.4.4, rooted and ruining great. Tonight I have another update trying to push to my phone. Anyone know what this one could be? I'm betting root kill.

There's still a workaround to root actually. I'm not sure what it does, but I'm about to install it now.

Let me know how it goes. I just want the update reminder to go away.
I got the update. It's NI2. Didn't root. Still stock. All I can say is VPN is still broken. So ridiculous.
Very suspicious saying the already in use 4.4.4 allows use of advanced calling 1.0 seems like verizon forgot to kill root and is making another attempt
@open1your1eyes0
what do you think? can we update and do the old kernel trick?

Sounds crazy.... but app opening time and navigation seems A LOT snappier.
It was the monthly security patch

Does anyone know if foxfi still works with this update?
I'm guessing at this rate, their "marshmallow for note 5 releasing in dec" is not THIS dec... heh. I've this installed for ac ouple days now... honestly I dont notice anything... still getting terrible battery life.

Any detrimental battery issues? After Sprint screwed me over battery life-wise with a ****ty update for my GS7E, I'm kinda weary.

Is it April security update?

Hmm so this was a minor update after the MM update?
I applied the update & it's good. No negative effect on battery life.

Firmware
Could anyone please upload the firmware from pd2? No one has it available online
The sammobile site won't work for me in my situation. Any links to the pd2 firmware would be great

anyone have a system pull of the G925PVPU3CPD3 that they can get for me please
I went back to stock but haven't taken the update. Is there a way for me to pull the update for you guys?
Only reason I haven't rooted is no one has posted the update. This place is pretty dead so I worry about the lack of Sprint devs being able to bring us firmware not to mention roms/addons/etc.

BTU Nougat OTA

I ODIN'd my 930F to BTU firmware (all 4 boxes) and all went fine. Info Samsung Phone looks good from what I can tell. I was expecting an OTA to Nougat but nothing in 2 days and have checked many times. Is this abnormal? Thanks for any info.

I read on Android Authority that offical was being pushed pushed out now. Bad news is it's 7.0 not 7.1 but in my case I'm not getting anything,

Read the article until the end. It clearly says it's beta users first.
"It looks like beta users are getting priority in the update queue, but regular users should be able to join in the fun over the next days."
