Hi all,
I just received my CS968 last night and while everything works quite well, the interface for android is definitely built for touch. How do you work around this with only having a remote? Any apps you recommend?
For example, how do I drag/rearrange icons around on the "desktop"?
Are there alternatives to the stock launcher that's better for a media player device? TVLauncher 2.0 seemed to be the launcher everyone used but the developer seems to have abandoned it.
Also, apps like Hulu and Netflix seem to require switching to "mouse" mode on the remote to navigate or in the case of netflix, play a tv episode. Any suggestions for workarounds?
Thanks.
Get an air mouse/keyboard, I like the Mele F10 Pro and the Measy RC11

Exactly. Air mouse with keyboard is the key. F10 and RC11(personally use one) are IMO the best. Of course you can plug a keyboard and a mouse too.

Its posible to make zoom-in zoom-out (Like I can do with two simultaneus touch on a phone) ?
you can plug in a normal mouse in the otg usb port and use this as in a PC, you can drag zoom as you wish
A good thing about Android is that you have a more powerful system than what you get from an Apple TV, but sometimes all you want is a set-top box, that can be as simple to control as that Apple TV, My guess is that Android TV is more or less set up to be controlled exclusively with a remote, and that's what many of us really want.

Well, its what our wives want
Android on a tv using a remote/mouse thing isn't wife friendly. (no offence to female tech heads )
I've just bought one of the new lg tv's that run web os and it got me thinking is it possible to port it so that it could be run on an Android tv box?
or could it be installed on older TV's like 55" LA6910
Hey guys
I have been looking into getting an android tv box and was wondering what do you suggest thats at least 2gb ram , gigabit Ethernet
1. Can the devices be rooted and can we install custom roms such as Cyanogenmod?
2. easily customization and tweakable?
I would either recommend getting the openelec box (the Wetec) It comes running openelec which is basically a Kodi OS. The other 2 good options are the Nvidia shield or build yourself a small htpc. Maybe use a nuc or raspberry pi type of board. http://webshop.openelec.tv/
i have a older TV with Scart in my Sleep-Room and i want have a Android Box was work with Scart or Adapter for Scart

Hi I have a Minix x7 and U9 and would like to share one keyboard and mouse between the two boxes.
I have seen "Deskdock" but that needs a server running on presumably a desktop computer and the android app looks like a client.
Is this even possible?
