[APP] Assistant for Google Now Reminders - Android Apps and Games

Easily add reminders to Google Now without having to speak up or typing queries.
We can add reminders to Google Now by typing or speaking something like "remind me to..." followed by the description and time. But if we have to add reminders again and again this becomes a hassle to type or speak long sentences like this. This is where this Assistant for Google Reminders comes to the rescue!
This Assistant helps you to input your reminders in a much friendlier and easy manner, then it makes the perfect query and opens the default Google Now where you will only need to press the blue tick icon and you will be done.
This saves you the hassle to perfectly speculate the query which Google would want to listen to. You can also add a home screen shortcut on your device if your launcher supports it.
The Assistant does not act as a reminders app, but rather as a mediator app between the users and the Google Now reminders. The reason it uses Google Now reminder mechanism is that Google Now is a product made by Google and hence updated and supported regularly. Plus you get all the benefits like sync, availability, etc.

Like this , not sure about the icon though bro
Good work

Thanks! I downloaded the icon in a hurry, didn't give much thought to it. I made and published the app in only few hours

In your work on this, did you discover a way to create a shortcuts to the list of reminders? Both the google app and Inbox can interface with the reminders, but creating a direct shortcut has proven difficult.

I haven't looked into this, but there must be a definite Activity (screen) for this. Maybe the ROM developers would know.

I've looked, but havent been able to find one that works. Found one mention of the Google app having shortcuts on 7.1.1, another mention of the reminder creation confirmation screen sometimes offering to place a shortcut, but that's the extent of it.

If the app allows to create shortcuts, then someone might be able to get it. Not that it may happen soon, but it is there in the device, so it doesn't look entirely impossible.

ATTN: Catch Notes users, please vote for my suggestion.

If you are a Catch Notes user, there has been an update today to v2.2. I was surprised to see that when you open the app, you no longer see your list of notes. Instead it opens in a screen with shortcuts to "My notes," in addition to shortcuts for creating various types of notes. I was very disappointed that in the Settings there is no option to specify the default view screen back to "My notes."
I used the app's built-in "Send feedback function" and this was their response:
Hi there,
You have the option to use the widget the access your note list directly. If you are already using the widget please update.
You have 3 ways to create a note.
Using the widget by pressing "Add a quick note"
from the dashboard by clicking on the icon "Text note"
from the note list by pressing the +
Thanks,
Anita

I find this very frustrating, as it's not really a solution. So, I created a suggestion in the Catch website to remedy this inconvenience. If you support my opinion, please vote for my suggestion:

So respond back to them.. I personally find Uservoice sucks... You can vote for X number of things and it's done and that's the end of that. Only when something gets the attention of ALL users does it usually get ANY attention. I've seen it on multiple projects.
Oh well..
But yeah what you describe sounds annoying.. What they should provide is a shortcuts, that makes it easy to make it land exactly where you want it. IMO Widgets shouldn't be used for that purpose.

New version 3.10.9 Play Store with many small innovations

It will not be one of the versions that probably go down in history this 3.10.9, which takes the place of the previous 3.9.17, but, no matter how small, the innovations introduced are numerous and we're not sure appreciated them all.
We start from the section recommended for you. Whether it's app or books (advice on music yet they are not), or even if you are on the homepage of the store, blocking the slice with the Google personalized recommendations you'll notice that at the top there is a new voice, "improve these councils, "which allows us to add people you know to find out their tastes and also receive recommendations based on them (or so says the description of the function). Good theory, too bad that the vast majority of contacts proposed were complete strangers from the other side of the world, with which (we checked) we did not even vague contacts on Google+. We look forward to a future refinement.
Then continue with the translations. Some apps now have a button "translate" at their description, which basically will only call into question Google Translate on the fly to change the text in a language more understandable to us. In this case the theory is good, pity we did not understand when and when not to appear: comparing different applications, different languages, some of them had the button translate it and other were completely lacking. Also in this case we are confident in a future refinement.
If these two functions must be short andarsele a little 'to seek, we turn now to a thing you will see rather often. You will all familiar with the installation of new apps: you choose one, went on his page, click on install, accept the permissions and you will be thrown back to the description of the app while the progress bar will indicate the percentage of completion. Not any more. After accepting the permissions, and then return to the description of the app, you have inserted a new page, which you can see an example on the right. The aim is to highlight related app and installed by others, but the match as you know is not always the best, by clicking on "back to shopping" you will still be redirected to the description of the app to start. We did not find a way to disable this feature, which basically requires a tap in to install any new app. Annoying.
And finally we come to the last news, the only one on which we could hardly rely on something: it is now possible to remove items from the wish list by tapping on the icon in that list, without having to open a description of each app. It is the same method used to delete applications from the complete list of all the ones we have ever installed and certainly saves us a few more steps. Nicely done.
After then the description of the new features, I leave you the link to download the Play Store:http://d-h.st/ZZB
Thank you for the hint!

Automate Your Internet with IFTTT App for Android

Since we live in an age in which phones pack more computing power than PC’s from less than 10 years ago, the number of tasks we can accomplish with mobile devices grows very fast. Which means the functionality of applications gets better every day, to give us a faster way to achieve our goals, on a day to day basis. That’s why, a lot of automating apps these days try to stay on top of it for us. One of these aps is IFTTT – If This Then That.
Tasks we can accomplish with the app range from scanning for updates on RSS feeds, Ebay, Reddit or Youtube and connecting to different apps, like Facebook, Gmail, Twitter and much more. For instance, we can receive a notification, if a new item is available on Ebay, or when we are tagged on Facebook. It all sounds great, but the question is how well does it work in the real world?
I installed IFTTT mostly in the hope to be able to stay on top of news and new items, which works really well and is really easy to set up. All you need to do, if you want to scan for specific items on Ebay, is to add a new recipe (+ button on top) and search for the Ebay trigger, select it, and activate the channel. After that, enter the search terms or keywords for which the recipe should be searching for. Now that the trigger is set up, we can choose actions or in other words, what should happen when we get a match. There are a lot of actions to choose from, like adding the item to a spreadsheet or text file on cloud based storage services, or simply sending an email to a friend that the item is available.
The procedure to scan the RSS feed of a website is also very straight forward. We simply select the RSS trigger, after we created a new recipe, and then we paste the feed link and enter the desired keywords, for which we are searching for. Now, we just need to finish the recipe with the desired action, and we are good to go. Anytime something with the desired keywords is posted, we know about it. IFTTT looks for changes every 15 minutes.
On the other hand this is not an app which is great in automating only device based actions. It is not meant for that, yet. The problem is not in triggers which give you more or less what you need, but in actions. Lets say I want to disable the pattern lock screen when I get home. While the trigger for a specific wifi SSID is available, the action for disabling the pattern lock screen is missing. We can only choose to change the ringtone volume and update the wallpaper under actions, which is actually pretty scarce. But this is not where its true power currently lies.
To sum it up, IFTTT is great for connecting together services or different apps like Twitter or Pocket and it is also very straightforward with the building of recipes. Anyone can do it. This is something that other automating apps are missing, which is why IFTTT fits right in. Nobody did provide such functionality in such a simple manner to this day...

USA Mate 9 integrated Alexa, what can do?

I try this before but became crazy so I try once more, this time not breaking rules.
I made install MHA-L29C567B181 Beta on my phone, and now my phone is with Alexa. Please do not ask how to install.
I think "wow this is very cool" but what can I do with Alexa? Is anyone Alexa user? I want to understand what is new capabilities. I guess this is to control 'smart home' mostly?
So far I notice Alexa can read news story, and answer general question, like math question, weather, trivia, or similar. Alexa so far does not play music. Maybe I need to install Amazon's music. Also Alexa does not send message or send email.
Anyway I hear many people looking forward to this. So what is it possible to do now I have alexa?
I also installed it. It's a beta which is why I think it doesn't do very much. Yet. It's certainly not as smart as Google assistant IMHO. But there are other changes in this ROM such as 10x zoom and I think fixes for many bugs like Bluetooth.
Alexa on the phone can do whatever skills you give her, or whatever your Alexa at home is set up to do. So, for example, mine can control my lights, change the thermostat, start up Sonos, tell me the status of the pool heat, the alarm, etc. Her AI skills are not as good as Google Assistant yet, but her integrations are far more developed.
Granted, if you don't set up additional skills, she's fairly limited compared to Google Assistant.
