I present you "THINGS COUNTER" - A unique list app.
Keep a count of anything in this app which lets you maintain a synced list of things.
Download from Play Store:

The word "Things" can refer to anything, from eggs in your fridge, to milk bottles, your failed attempts at driving test (jk lol), screws in your garage, necessary medicines, times you've eaten junk food, or anything under the sun.
You get to add items to your list, give them a name and an initial count. Then you can add or subtract from them whenever you want. This list can be used to keep track of your household grocery inventory or can be used as a counter for anything else which needs a count.
With backup and sync support this app can use your Google account which you may choose to sync the list between other devices where you choose the same Google account within this app. Note that your Google account is only linked with the app to ensure the backup, sync, and security of your data and Google Inc. is not associated with this app at all.

I need an app to track my food intake and tag it with the date and time.
Id love to be able to input an item into the app and then be able to access them from a drop down list so once I have typed it in that's it.
This app also needs to be able to log what tablets I take in the same way.
A notes field would be useful to note how im doing so a doctor can look at this and possibly see pattens in what I eat and how what tablets I take help me.
A Dropbox sync or the ability to E Mail the data would be the icing on the cake.

Worried what will happen to your mails after you die Google has a solution
Google has found a way by launching inactive account manager page that can be used as a "Digital Will". Google is asking people what they want to happen to their digital photos, documents and other virtual belongings after they die or become incapacitated.
An "Inactive Account Manager" can be used to pass information on all websites of google like Google Drive, Gmail, YouTube, or social network Google+ to a particular person after a long inactivity (or after death ). You can even set it to delete all data.
In account settings page, Google gives people the option of sharing their data with a trusted friend or family member, or having their account deleted. It even lets people specify how long to wait before taking action and sends a notification before the
"timeout" periods are ended. (but if you see that mail then i think they will not delete the account and then you have to wait for another long time for it to be deleted )
Finally, Google gives users the option to effectively "burn" their account, wiping all materials from all Google properties - including public Youtube videos, Google+ profiles and Google Voice extensions.
Users can choose 3, 6, 9, or 12 months as the timeout period and Google will send a notification to the secondary email address one month before the period is set to expire.
If that time passes, any trusted contacts will receive a personal email explaining that said individual had left them the data, including instructions on how to download it.
It is a good way to dispose off your email with too many spam's but the minimum time limit is 3 months so happy waiting.

Find My Phone app allows you to locate family members or your lost device from any device (Android, Apple, Laptops etc) through WhatsApp
With the app you can create a message trigger that will send back the last location of your lost device back to you through WhatsApp and show you the location on the map (google maps).
First you create a message trigger from the main screen and whenever your lost device will receive that message through WhatsApp it will reply with a url that shows you the location of your lost device in google maps.
It's so simple that you will be amazed!

update my experience soon.
I am looking for an Android app which will at predetermined times share my location with selected people. I don't want real time sharing because of battery issues. It would also be useful if I could also create a routine which did the same whenever I connect to WiFi.
I am planning a solo cycle tour through Europe which will involve me being away from all family and friends for up to 3 months. My wife has expressed a concern about my safety and has asked that I let her know where I am on a regular basis.
I could allow her access to my Google account so she can use Find My Device but given her technical skills it would be better if she simply got a WhatsApp message with a map pin.

I don't see any way of sending my location.
If you won't create a simple routine at your own use this app

Maybe I wasn't clear enough - my apologies.
I am looking for an app which will automatically send my location to a contact at predefined times. I would like this to happen when my phone is in my pocket or bag whilst I am cycling or walking.
Obviously I can do it manually when I remember but if I am in difficulty then the automatic option acts as a safety feature.
I am looking at Tasker to see if I can create a routine using that app and SMS.
Thanks to @xXx yYy for his/her help so far.
