Anyone know how I can use my Orbit2 as a mass storage device? My car stereo allows iPods and Mass Storage devices but cant be annoyed with the ipod any more as I always leave it in the car.
Basically I want to be able to put my music on my 8gb card and play it through the stereo.
Cheers
checkout card export from softonic, works just great
http://www.softick.com/pocket-pc/cardexport2/
Have that installed... but dont understand exactly what Im doing... it says its in Mass USB Storage but also gives me an error about drivers...
Just Beta
Hey Guys!
The Mass storage thing is just in a beta stadium.
The easiest way to fill up your 8GB Card is an Cardreader at your PC...
Im not wanting to fill it up... works perfect in vista to fill it. I want to use it as a storage device for my car stereo USB connection.
You could just use your MicroSD in a card reader and insert the card reader into your car stereo... then back in the pda when finished

I also use my Polaris connected to my car stereo USB connection.
It's easy: try "Softick Card Export 3.08". It works great.
You can also try it before you buy it!
Folks:
I switched my HTC S621 for a Jack i637 a couple weeks ago. I like very much the Jack but I'm having problems with it:
1. - When I connect the Jack to use it as a USB mass storage device, only the main memory is accessible. I'm not able to read the SD card, not even from the phone's File Explorer. I also connected it to my car stereo USB port to play the music on the SD card, and it only reads the internal memory.
If the USB is set to Activesync, then I can access the SD with no problem. I have a 4GB SD card.
2.- Very often, while I'm synchronizing the phone with the PC, the Activesync screen says that it is disconnected and 20 to 30 seconds later IExplorer freezes on the computer. I stream to my PC a live audio feed from a radio station (http://www.imagen.com.mx/audioenvivo/) that stops playing, but as soon as I remove the data cable for the phone the audio returns to the PC.
I am trying to transfer music to the Transformer from my ubuntu laptop. When I plug in the USB, syslog shows the usb high speed device connect, but it won't mount. I don't know much about android, so I thought maybe if your device isn't rooted, you can't access the internal storage via USB. So I grabbed a micro sd I had laying around (an old 1Gb) and popped it in thinking I could access that... no dice. Is there a way to transfer music on this thing?
-Thanks!
You need MTP drivers.

It won't mount in Linux. There is a way to make your computer mount storage, but I usually just take my micro SD out (32gb) and pop it in a card reader. Maybe try another card.

I just got my Nexus S back for a usb port repair, and when I got it it updated to 2.3.4.
So I wanted to put some stuff back on the internal SD card I plugged it in and could not find the storage...
I had previously used this to add music to the music player...
So It seems that they have locked out direct access to the SD card???..ARE YOU SERIOUS??
So I figured I'd just install dropbox, and it says it does not have access to any SD card?? <add>>> It turns out that dropbox can access the internal storage but only when the phone is unplugged and the usb is not mounted>
However I cannot access the storage to put music on when plugged and mounted???
What is going on here? Did they just screw up the repair? or this a designed screw up?
