Is the OTG Dongle, USB c to A, available?
Not the one Google provided with our Pixel, but it is from google.

Anyone know if it's possible to get one of these adaptors and plug a flash drive into it to get extra storage?
Seems like a good idea just not sure of the legitimacy

I believe it currently will not. You need to have OTG (On-The-Go) tech in the kernel and our phones do not. Once source is released I'm sure we'll have it. I read that within hours of the release of the One X Kernel Source they had a patched kernel with the tech included.
P.S. I bought a F-F USB adapter and tried to plug in a flash drive, it was a no go.

I'm thinking of getting a HDMI-out cable for the Nexus 4, which I believe is called a Slimport adaptor.? I've looked online and only found one on Amazon which was quite pricey. There were a few others called 'Micro USB MHL to HDMI' which at first glance appear to be the same - one Micro USB side, one HDMI side. Are these the same thing, and should they work?
I'm in the UK, so if anyone spots anything suitable please let me know.
Have a search. Theres about 4 threads looking at slimport, mhl, or comparing the two.
Thanks. I found one topic but it was inconclusive.

I don't think it does as there's no proper OTG support as the port doesn't supply power.

That does work in theory, I didn't bring it up as I don't think regular users should be subjected to such bull**** . I don't think anyone has tried it though specifically with a USB ethernet adapter, or at least no one has posted about doing so.
It'd probably work, make sure you get a realtek USB ethernet adapter. Anything that works on even a China generic tablet will likely work.

Wrong connection, it should be a female USB, not a Samsung type of port.

Its not the wrong connection, the female micro USB part is where your charger plugs into to give power
And the big female USB is where you plug in flash drives etc...
And what do you mean "not a Samsung type of port"

Haha no worries
I really wish the N4 does supports an actual port for flash drives or any other kind of USB
It really defeats the purpose of having OTG
Good thing I got a portable solar powered external battery to plug into

Believe it only affects the pinout for MHL though, so OTG should work fine. Not 100% sure though since a friend with an S3 ran into issues with an OTG cable I gave him.
you need this..

Isn't there a way to make the nexus 4 supply the 5v?

It's for the Google store not the play store. You can only use the credit for physical items. I wish it could be used for apps, movies, and stuff.

Unfortunately it's only good till the end of August before the pixel 4 comes out. They thought of everything to make this credit not very useful lol. ?
I put my 150CAD credit towards a Google Home Max which recently had a price drop to 400 and was on sale for 300 so in the end it cost me 150 or around 115USD.
What $100 credit? Is it only for brand new devices just purchased? Or how does one come about getting this credit?
Edit: devices purchased before May 18 (quick Google search).
Spending the $100 credit on another Pixel 3a seems to get you the most value... but I don't want another pixel. Google store sucks.

I agree, there really is not anything that I can use. There products are way over priced.
I do not need any Nest junk, because I use Amazon echo. I did like some the head phones, but of course they are out of stock.
