What does that link do? Is it ransomware?

It's an expired link.
is it really locked and encrypted or just a lock screen that can be bypassed

I doubt it's encrypted; just a lock screen and I can't figure out how to bypass it.

I did - didn't work
can u get into download mode?
if so flash TWRP recovery then use inbuilt file manager to copy need files to sdcard then do a full wipe and install
Either do the post above or try using the online Android device manager or Samsung find my mobile and lock and unlock the device, that might do something, I'm not sure
Maybe a dumb question but what happens when you click the unlock button?

Press Volume - & Home & Power for ~30sec then phone must automaticlly reboot, then when you will see Samsung logo directly really fastly move finger from Volume - to Volume + but still holding that other two buttons. You must get in to recovery menu if you had flashed it before. Then flash again ROOT or full-wipe and just clean install another ROM+ROOT ofcourse. If you did fully unroot via SuperSU then that's can be why now system don't started

Hold anyway Vol - + Power + Home for longer time (~45sec), doesn't matter do phone is turned on or off... Phone must show you Download Mode. If not, what happenes in your case? Only Samsung logo as is on the photo in first post?

Hello,
I just bought a Huawei Mate MHA-L29 from Ebay but it unfortunately is locked and is asking for a PIN after a restart. I tried doing the factory reset with the power + volume up button but that didn't change anything unfortunately. Is there any way to fix this?
Thank you!
Ask the ebay seller for the pin? File a claim with PayPal!

He mentioned the phone was locked and needed a hard reset and thought I'd be able to do it, but the reset I found how to do online doesn't work So was wondering if there was a different way.

So I got the first step, flashing TWRP. But, there's only a version of TWRP for the a10, would this work?
you don't really need twrp for root, just follow this guide
Installation
The Magic Mask for Android

I have previously tried Kingo/King Root which worked on my KitKat Nabi tablet, I tried that on my a10e it failed. Root checker says there is no root for andr 11 on the a10e
whatever you do, do NOT use kingoroot, it basically installs a outdated version of SuperSU (which isn't liked by the community anymore because the original developer sold it to some random company) and bloats ur system up.
Yep, no OEM bootloader unlock option in dev settings
it may be possibly locked to your carrier. again, you can send me a screen recording or get an unlocked phone
My phone appears to be unlocked already, there is no sign of Verizon still being on here. I have since upgraded phones and the SIM card isn't in anymore.
Do I have to factory reset to fully get rid of the OEM?
i found this youtube video with some quick searching. it's in hindi but you can get the gist of it.
I most certainly dont have to disable automatic time right?
i don't know, after you get the option maybe you can set it back
i followed and nothing happened
did you reboot your phone after the fact?
yep, nothing works

wich SPflash tool are you using? Im pretty sure SolomonMT has the same problem,
This is how it looked for me whenever it worked, it always showed me my chip info on the left panel under the phone image
Try this
[GUIDE] Unbrick hard-bricked device
Condition Phone does not turns on Phone not detected via USB Phone handshake/memory hash failed Requirements Unplug battery Download MIUI 12.5.4.0.RCDMIXM Fastboot ROM Download Scatter File for 12.5.4.0.RCDMIXM Download SP Flash Tool Download...
forum.xda-developers.com
I think (but Im not sure) I had the same issue until I switched scatter files until it worked, it apparently did not work for SolomonMT tho.

When you try to bypass please hold for 1~2 more seconds the buttons. That's what I did and it worked!

Are we able to root and have magisk?
Definitely yes! Once you get familiar with the procedure, it's quite simple actually.
The hardest part is getting your device's bootloader unlocked.
Once you have the bootloader unlocked, follow instructions in this article.
Good luck and have fun!

Have you personally tested this?
Of course!
Though I don't flash the magisk patched boot image, I fastboot boot it, like described in step 3B in that article.
After rebooting, direct install magisk in the magisk manager, and reboot again, done, your device is officially rooted.

Maybe the problem is the minimal adb setup, try full version from google official site.
https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
Or there is incompatible issue with you usb port or cable, try another one.
I really like this but can't use root
