Ya, black is looks good but the chrome looks ok too, kinda.
Definitely Chrome (unusual+classy+useful mirror+no scratched paint+less heat under the sun) [emoji4]
Will get the black one, to replace my Nexus 6P.
Pre-ordered the black one. None of the available pictures really show what either of them looks like as if seeing them in person. I was interested in the Chrome one at first because the pictures made it look good. But in reality, after reading several reviews from those who have held it in hand, it is basically like having mirrors on the front and back. Too distracting...too much "bling" for me. So even though the Deep See Black is certainly reflective it has to be better than the Chrome. Even the official Sony Mobile site makes them look more matt than highly reflective. Can't wait to see them in person.
Hardest decision I have to make in my life haha but leaning toward the black one cuz it looks like it shows a blue hue in the sunlight
I'll be getting the bronze pink for my Chinese girlfriend in Shanghai to replace a old LG phone

Is the black one painted, is scratches and dings along the side will show silver? That might be one benefit of the silver. Still debating....
I'll be putting a case on it, so not that bothered. I'll probably take the deep sea black because I don't want to keep seeing my reflection in the chrome bezel!

Went with the Chrome one. Ordered a clear very thin case for it. All the color look really nice. Difficult choice.

I just noticed the black and silver doesn't have the antenna mount holes on it. I wonder how reception and death grip is working with that one.
I think the point of this was directed at people who is interested in switching away from the tricolor-ed back.

first i wanted grey but now the gold is growing on me. honestly i don't think it matters as long as i'm able to get my hands on one when it's released (pending more info of the lenovo tablet).

The grey looks a bit too purple for me (hence the Amethyst, which for anyone that may not know, is a purple quartz stone: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amethist). EDIT: so I would probably pick the gold. But I'm probably fine with my TF101 for a while yet.
I'd probably have to see them in person, but the Grey looks good to me.
right now im feeling the gold more but I would love to see some more actual shots of the units and not stock photo's of them.
Also anyone else like the non coloured grey that we have seen?? I would probably get that if it was available.

I like the amethyst grey. It just looks different than anything else out there. The gold looks too iPad-like.

Yeah waiting for a real hand on video (not some rendered 3D model), but right now i'm more toward the amethyste one.
But either is fine for me, both look gorgeous and original, good job Asus.

May be it's the calibration on my monitor but the Champagne Gold one just looks like a brushed aluminium colour.
I probably won't know which one I want until I see them with my own two eyes. Either way I think I'm getting one and the wife is getting the old TF. She actually offered to take the old one off my hands which gave me the OK to buy the new one for myself

Marker leave a slight discolouration as the ink a little shinier than the dull finish of the phone, but it isn't really noticeable unless you see it in bright light. But the problem is, markers wear off really quickly. Even an industrial strength oil and waterproof ink I tried.
I've tried satin black car scratch repair ink, looks better than the ink if applied nicely, but, it also wears off.
Yeah, I tried marker too, looked ok for a day or so, but it wore off again pretty quickly.
I wonder how easy it would be to take off ALL the MAO coating and have an awesome silver phone

It has been done on the HD2 battery cover as well, carefully sanded and polished to a near mirror finish. I suspect that was steel though, isn't the One S aluminum?
I was 90% joking; the One S is aluminium which will just rust to a dull grey colour, right? Plus, easy as it seems to get small but noticeable chips in the MAO covering, I think getting the lot off would require some serious effort. Maybe 6 months down the line when my phone really looks like cr*p, but right now it is still doable with the occasional application of black marker!
Yup its aluminium, will look a bit Mad Max I guess especially if not done with a lot of effort

The gold is more of a silver in person. It looks really nice
I have it, traded my black one in for it. Love it, always pick a white phone but this gold phone with a dbrand back in black is killer.

Yeah, i was confused when i first saw the gold, thought somehow the silver s7 was coming to the US as well. I had to pick it up and move it around in the light to really see the gold.
That being said, i got the black. Sexy as hell, and the ugly ass fcc numbers on the back are actually hidden better imo.
i got the gold s7. it looks better for me. my friend said it looked like an iphone but im not sure about the comparison.
i held the black one but it really doesn't feel premium for me. i'd say check the demo units on the store and decide.

Just saw the demo units, the gold version is the best looking one IMO...
The silver one was too bright for me, maybe if they had gone with a darker tone it would look better. The black version just didn't look premium enough as you said.
