Bypass FRP lockout after password change - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Hey folks;
tl;dr question: Wife changed her password after factory reset, now locked out of her phone for 24 hours. Is there a way to bypass, if the account is the same but only password changed?
Long version:
Wife did ota with Nougat and was getting a lot of errors, etc. Decided that a factory reset on her S7 was a good idea to get a fresh install of everything.
Did a factory reset, and of course during the setup after the reset the first 5 or 6 variations of her Google password didn't work. We could have kept trying variations, but the "Forgot Password" link was too inviting, and seemed like the easier route rather than trying the various variations of various passwords she uses.
Did the password reset using the Android dialog box. The password reset worked, as she is now able to use her Google account on the PC with no issues on the new password.
Problem is, she gets a popup message on the device that she has to wait 24 hours before trying the phone's account again. Is there a way to bypass this? We are using the existing account locked to the phone, just a different password. Again, she can successfully use the new password on other non-resetted devices.
Really, if we were aware that an account already tied to the device could be locked out with a password change during the reset process we would have waited, as my wife needs her phone as she drives at night for work. A warning during the reset would have been nice.

If there is not one for the current version of Android security update, then check YT for tutorials on older versions, flash one of them and follow the tutorial to bypass FRP

Can't delete Android device from Google account

Hi,
i'm posting here, because I don't know what exactly my problem is.
I factory reseted an android smartphone (samsung galaxy core prime) through the recovery menu.
The bad thing is that the device was synced with a google account, that hasn't been deleted before the reset.
When I want to setup the clean phone, i get asked to login with the previous google account. But when I do, it says the account is the wrong one.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure its the correct one, because I can see the device under "Recently used Devices" in my google account. But i can't delete it there... probably because the account is not set up on the phone.
Now my question: Could i solve the problem if I flash a custom ROM on the phone? I already tried it with a Stock ROM for T-Mobile, but it didn't change anything.
Hope you guys can help me out!
BR
You won't be able to even flash a custom recovery on a FRP locked device.
There's ways to get around FRP lock, check out rootjunky.

How do I downgrade to an earlier version of 6.0.1?

Long story short. I'm helping out my colleague who got her phone locked. We ended up factory resetting it, but she's not the most technical, so it seems that every time she's gotten a new phone over the years, she's just created a new gmail-account and forgotten about it.
Then FRP kicked in. Shouldn't be a problem if she just knew her account.. We've found out that she's got at least three accounts, but none of them works. I figure she's got another one, but not one that she could remember. So I have to bypass FRP somehow, otherwise this phone will be an expensive useless brick. :/
It seems it's on build MMB29K.G930FXXU1BPJE.
It's recently updated, so any bypass I've found seems to have been patched. It's usually a good thing, but in this case (she can blame herself, though..) it's a bit sad.
I've tried to downgrade using Odin, but for some reason it fails. I've haven't been able to enable OEM-unlock or enable Developer options.
Any help is appreciated!
She should have some record of which account she used, creating a Google account should ask for a backup email address for recovery, so one of her accounts should have the details of the one she's forgotten
Otherwise unfortunately this could just as easily be "I stole a phone and want to know how to bypass FRP"
Octoplus box and your problem is solved.

I know. At first she couldn't remember the gmail, and after we checked against her phone no. we found two accounts. Checking against her work e-mail, I found another. Unfortunately it was none of them.

All I can suggest is look for tutorials on YT for bypassing FRP for whichever security update that phone was on / downgrade with ODIN to one that has a tutorial (Try leaving out the BL part of the flash if it's failing, and use CSC, not HOME_CSC)
You should definitely be able to downgrade a G930F, I just did with mine from 7.0 Nougat back to 6.0.1 using ODIN 3.12.3
You don't need OEM Unlock or Dev Options / USB debugging for flashing stock with ODIN

Thanks, I'll give it another try later tonight.
Following this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRUp09bXnDA&feature=youtu.be) I didn't have to downgrade anything other than the account manager on 6.0.1 through an .apk. That way I could bypass FRP on the October security patch. She was so happy, and I told her to keep it to this one @gmail-account.
So, problem solved! Thanks for the replies!
Nice one :good:

Bypass FRP on s8?

Story time: Just got new phone yesterday. Today after setting it all up I went and got a case. As I got home however the screen was unresponsive. Nothing worked.. so I had to do soft reset (vol down+ power). However after it rebooted I could not get rid of the lock screen. My thumbprint reader wouldn't unlock the device and none of the passwords I remembered unlocked the device. I had to do a factory reset (after 15 attempts). After a bit of rebooting I finally got to the google account login screen. I typed in my information but It says I changed my password within 24 hours so I am now locked out of my phone for the next 24 hours. I know the password. I have my sim for 2-step verification. But I am locked out.
I've read of bypass methods working for older samsung devices but is there one that could work with the s8+? I need to use my device for work. Am I SOL until tomorrow?
Sorry but even if there were a way to bypass FRP, we couldn't discuss it here because we'd have no way of knowing whether the person inquiring has an illicit reason for wanting to bypass.

I understand. I'm more sad than anything that Im having to wait another 24 hours before I can use my new phone. And @samcex, I'm skeptical of those youtube work-arounds and would rather be only separated from my phone for the temporary 24 hours and not 'reset my clock' by accident by attempting one of these :/

It worked for me on a Galaxy C5.
Same thing happened to me. Are you logging in with a Google account? If so, when you first ran the s8+ a notification was sent to the gmail account you signed in with initially on the s8+. Eve though you factory reset , for some reason (I think a sinister one) the phone remembers the account you first set up.
I think Samsung is into some serious spying **** and it's not cool! I hope I'm wrong about that and there is a logical explanation ad to why it remembers which account.
Anyway, that's what worked for me.

I wonder if reflashing the stock firmware from SamMobile via Odin would reset FRP? All in all, FRP is really good protection software IMO.
I would flash trough odin and try it again.
I had a similar issue with the s6 as far as I can remember, and google and samsung find device were off so no use.
SInce I had USB debugging on and approved in my laptop I was able to use ADB and manually delete the files were password is stored by commands. I was able to unlock the phone and didn't even need to reset my data.
I'm no big expert, so if I did get there, certainly someone more skilled is.
However this was done in a encrypted phone though, and things changed a little meanwhile..
I posted back then regarding this issue, if you search my old posts.

What a nonsence: "Spying"...
Every Android-phone is registered at Google (IMEI-nr and more info); so if you reset your phone (or flash FW), your IMEI will be registered again -> already registered, hmmm -> Factory Reset Protection activates (there's always a possibility it's a STOLEN phone)...
NO: FRP will never reset! When the ORIGINAL-owner registers his/her phone, you must ALWAYS enter your registered Google-account & PW after reset!

Oh.. my.. god That is really bad. Does it apply to every Android phone, or only Sammy ones?
Fortunately I asked the guy I bought the phone from to give me his Google password, and guess what? He did. There is still good people in this world..

The solution of removing FRP is available on above given link, tested on Samsung Galaxy S8 G950F (Android 7.0) Security Patch Level 01 June 2017 but also should work on:
Samsung Galaxy S8 G950FD
Samsung Galaxy S8+ G955F, G955FD
I don't know if it works on:G950U (USA); G950A (AT&T); G950P (Sprint); G950T (T-Mobile); G950V (Verizon); :fingers-crossed:

Unlock phone w/ forgotten Google password

Hi, I have an s7 and I cant remember the Google information to unlock the device. I've tried factory resetting the phone but still no luck. I was wondering if I reflashed the phone through Odin if that would help? Any information and help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Samsung phones have factory reset protection, it's also persistent through firmware flashes.
You could try flashing to an older firmware that has exploits to bypass FRP, but chances are if your S7 was up to date, you've got the bootloader that prevents downgrading.
Flash older firmware via ODIN, Nougat or even MM to be safe, though as mentioned earlier, the bootloader being updated might prevent the phone from booting up but it's worth a shot.
If it is the password the one you forgot, then reset the password in Google for that email the phone was registered to, then wait 72 hours, seems is the time to wait, once you have the password sorted out, you could get into your phone.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'm going to try and flash to older firmware as suggested.

Problem with my Samsung S7

Hello everyone,
I bought a Samsung S7 a while ago and performed the setup based on my gmail account.
But now I do not know the password anymore and when I perform a hard reset I have to log in with that account, so you now understand what my problem is.
How can I solve this because the store does nothing and via google it does not work.
Please need help.
Is there a option if everything is gone to diable frp lock?
Ideally you should have had a recovery email or alternative method to get your gmail back. FRP is pretty tough.
You can try flash an older firmware version and then use an older FRP bypass exploit, the latest Android builds basically have no exploits left.
You may have to try multiple difference older firmwares before one lets you flash, but you may find none will flash.
