Does anyone know where in the system I can adjust the values to display when I have a certain strong signal?
For example, I'm in a new build of Lineage and it can fluctuate between 0 and 4 bars randomly and doesn't necessarily correspond with actual signal strength (which should be based off dBm values.)
I'm thinking it's smali code somewhere within SystemUI.apk after it is decompiled. Does anyone here know where to look? I'm terrible with reverse Java engineering.

Is it Possible to use the 6 Bar signal strength instead of the 4 Bar? I have been successful in renaming them to the 4 bar names and making them show. But i also know they are reporting wrong levels. Is there a way fix this so its correct?
Is this to hard to do? No one know how to do this?
the cyanowiz rom seems completely usable accept the signal bars always show that it was no signal even though i have 3 bars of LTE. the data icon is there but anyways its annoying to not be able to see signal strength. are you guys having this issue?
Yes. That's typical of the Skyrocket build of CM7. I change the blank signal bars to dBm value. To do so go to Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > Interface > Status Bar Tweaks > Alternate signal display.

thanks! i may be able to use cyanowiz now, but if sean is able to get the signal bars working that would be fantastic,
Also, it seems that when you drop to Edge and HSPA your signal bars do start to work, but once you're back on LTE they will disappear again.
No real major disfunctionality there but it is a little bit aesthetically displeasing
Still, an amazing ROM
Heylo,
Curious if anyone has a power / notification bar that has dB rating for signal strength? I'm looking to find a good bar that has most everything in a nice readable format instead of graphs...Personally would love to see the signal strength and battery in numerical values.
Just testing the water. =-)

that would have to be made, the tweaks i wanted to port over would of giving us that mod but i was told i wasn't able to port that tweak app I'm sure there is an app in the market that can give you the DB mod, I miss it my self

Yes, to change signal strenght bar icon to dbm value.
I use it in CM7 before.(-58dBm, - 71dBm..etc... )
Maybe somebody find solution for this?
I am looking for an app or mod that would allow you to change the range of dbm that the signal indicator responds to, i.e., rather than having a range of -130dbm(low) to -50dbm(high) to determine how many bars are shown, change the values to -120dbm to -80dbm.
Anyone come across something like that?
Thanks!
