What's the best Widget should I have for my X10i?

know i'm using Fancy Widget....
it's great....
are there any software like that (widget)? that can make my X10 looking good....

I think iv heard quite a few people talk about beautiful widget but never tried myself lol

Smooth calendar or grid cagebdar are neat. 3g watchdog (monitors your data usage) and apn Droid (disables and enables 3g data) are both useful if your data plan isn't unlimited. And genie widget is also quite good and has a nice app to go with it (news add weather) though you'll have to Google that one as it isn't on the market.​

Try Pure Messenger for the message/mail/texts

suggestion: what about turning this thread into a widget collection, OP updating #1 to get a referential on the subject instead of getting multiple/duplicate threads on the subject? this is not the oldest thread on the subject, but the one with the most generic subject and maybe it could be turned into the last of it's kind...

you download from the market, then add the widget by long pressing the screen? of course you need to have sufficient space for it.

What version did you use? I just download 1.8 and the weather icon doesn't show up....

you need to refresch weather a couple of times, somtimes it dosent work.

Do you mean I have to wait couple hours so the program can pull the weather info from the web?
I don't know how to "refresh weather"...

I didn't find it... Maybe wait for new update. I am using beautiful widgets right now.

Hi, Guys,
Anybody help me i am using first time the android phone SE X10. i dont know how to install applications from appbrain site or through SDK. i am not a developer some body please help me my email is [email protected]

Just install astro file manager from market.. then theres also a setting to change so go to settings, applications then check the box where it says 'unknown sources'.. you then just download the file and open astro, find file then install.. shouldnt really have any problems!

What widget is this?

This is not my screenshot (or i obviously would not be looking the widget ) i'm looking that widget with the android talking and the speech bubble the one at the top?

Its the "welcome to android"-widget, gives a short introduction how to do things, is afair in stock froyo/gingerbread - but I have no name for it

It's called "Protips". It's fun to customize as well ^_^

would it be possible to get the apk file and edit it so it's filled with quotes of your choosing etc? i know how to properly edit the xml files and so forth...

Default Gold Themes missing icons

for the 3G/32GB Gold version & theme i'm missing some gold icons. I would also spend some bucks for a complete gold theme if someone can complete one.

You cant ... theyr not from huawei .. u wud have to contact those app manufs. to change their icons

No,they can be changed. When I had p6 a user made miui theme in which he had changed icons of most of the apps like xda,fb, titanium backup...etc.

But he wants them gold like mate 7's stock icons..
I would love to change them.. bcos those apps icons downloaded from play store distorting nice look of home screen..

I have tried to change some icons.....you can see them on the picture. If you want them then I upload them...

You have to extract the .hwt file then extract icons file. After this put in the desired icons and repack the .hwt file.
Procedure is given in thread by papaver.
But, I knew this truck before because I had p6.
And icons are made from Photoshop.
It was a new experience for me as I am biology ( Pre-Med) student.

Working. Great hint. Checking now with task monitor app the task names and including in the customized ROM.

What do you expect from hannanzikrea? To get pro icons you have to 3D render and Photoshop the icons. This will be tough work and take time.

is it possible to keep same style but replace colors 3 colors green , red , yellow to white , black , gold and in the middle instead of blue , hmm try white ,black or gold which will suits best in the middle ..
same to gmail and those others..

One big difference is that the Google feed Magisk module doesn't work on this. If you use that a lot, id recommend avoiding this

It's not even available in retail yet. How did you manage to get the icon pack out??

Try whitelisting the app in the battery settings. If you have power mode on, it might be hindering the update. I had a similar issue with different app and this helped.

Yeah, second this right here. Completely customizable, love it. Lot like that older app, UCCW. You can make something super simple, or extremely complex. Up to you. I'd share my homescreen widget if Tapatalk would let me upload a dang image.

Yea I tried whitelisting it under the battery and memory settings. Widget still only updates when I first unlock my phone, if I resize the widget, or if I open the BW app. The developer explicitly says that the app is not meant to work with newer versions of Android but they're not providing support any longer
