Hi, there is no thread for (Sony Bravia) Android TV so I'm posting it here.
I was trying to find some info about rooting the Android tvs but I couldn't find something useful. Is there a way how to get root so I can change files in system folder? I would like to change global keys config but it is in framework-res.apk. So without root I'm without luck...

There is a tópic in this forum called "Sony tv Android users" or something like that.
There you can talk with other Android tv on Sony tv's.
To root you can try kingroot. Apk
Also, If you only want to remap buttons, you can do it using "button mapper: remap your keys" or other apps like that.
They dont need root
I would also like to know how to make this TV rooted.
Mainly to suppress various ads.
I create a new user, but I can not install system applications. Read only.

XDA User Orginator also said in the large Sony TV thread that he has successfully rooted his Sony TV with BlueBorn Exploit. But there are no instructions. Maybe he can write a guide and help us? I wrote him a pm.

Hi all
Please I have question related with built-in software came with x10 n how I remove it without rooting, I bought my x10 from SFR-France so there are some softwares belongs to SFR like SFR TV and SFR account….etc, am try to remove it from programs manager but already I can't, if I make reinstall of the software via SEUS ,may be all built-in program removed because it's not came with original Sony Ericsson software? any if NO why? Where the setup file stored?
What is the best way to update the x10 software:
1-via SEUS?
2- via internet service 3G with sim-cart

Running SEUS on the phone won't help, you really need to root to remove the software.

I have read all the possible threads on this issue but with no luck.

I bought my Xperia X10 in Abu Dhabi, now I know that the Android Market is not available in the UAE for certain reasons, I am just hoping that someone might have found a way around this.
I do not want to flash or root my phone.
Isnt there any other way of installing the market manually?
I am in South Arica on holiday at the moment, will it be possible to do it from here?

Try to find Android Market app and install it, like usual app.
Some posts have Google apps in zip form to d/load, eg freeXperia. Just download the apps and unzip

Try this, install SRT Appscanner from Play store, once installed open the app and tell me if either of the bugs say vulnerable please.
I mean this app check possiblity to root.

If I load it with many apps... does it hang or get slowed down? I want to use it for constant internet connectivity with instant messengers like whatsapp and others... Want to use social networking sites like Facebook and others,... and stay in touch with Google maps... What do you say... should I buy it?

Starting off with the phone is very sleek and light. Till now it hasnt hanged even once. Honestly i am yet to try out the google maps so will post review in a day or two. Battery can be rated 7.5/10 as it gives a healthy amount of service, i used wifi for about 5 hours till it got red. If you load it with many apps then obviously it will get a bit slower as its having armv7 processor wid 512mb ram, try not to overhaul it, Otherwise the phone is pretty nice, sound is ordinary. Whatsapp and facebook works really well without lag. Games are real crisp and smooth, BUT hd games and games which r high end will have some lag but still it does not force close thats the good part.
Especially all of this at this price is a real good deal.
My suggestion u can go ahead and buy it. best of luck with it. Enjoy

i saw in youtube they were playing high end games like real racing 3,asphalt 8. Is it realy capable of playing high end games? I want to buy a budget phone for some gaming. Please suggest me.
A12+ stuck at boot screen
i have A12+ and have rooted it successfully:laugh: but then in hurry i have installed chainfire downloaded long ago which is not compatible with jellybean 4.2.2 and i am stuck in boot screen (the eye) , i have already tried wiping data and cache from recovery and i have not installed cwm i have stock recovery. i could have uninstalled it via adb but 4.2.2 have sideload only hence adb commands are not working adb shell returns error : closed error. now the only option i have is to flash stock rom which i have not backed up so it would be very kind of you to upload it .or i have also read that it could be achieved by installing TWRP recovery and then renaming some files and changing some values from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2560607 , who had similar case like me .so if anyone could provide me the stock rom and preloader drivers it would be very helpful my mobile is just a week old :crying:

This is very easy, you can only install a separate android launcher and then install apks later on. Rooting is not really helpful
