[KITCHEN][ROM] Cookmyrom.se now available for Desire HD!!
It's still very high beta testing for this but you are welcome to try it out
I've added the rapid rom so far.
Im trying to update the best i can but i work much so
Try it out and let me know the results
Bootamination wont most likely work ..
so stay away from it
need help correcting paths and such

i have a simple question, if i installed this rom, would the phone still boot in 3 sec? (yes i know it is standby mode) ??

shouldnt be any issues,
never had reports on it before with other ROMs,
ill look into it later today

Install of the file names can you show some sort of a graphical presentation of the system files we would like to remove. Especially for us n00b's, we dont want to land up removing the important stuff.

Donno how that would work still because all ROMs are using the same kitchen so to speak, trying to workout doing there own once for each.

I'm still fairly new to Android having owned the Desire for only a few weeks.
This weekend I had a chance to play with a HTC HD with a custom Android rom, and found it to be more responsive than by Desire HD even with the slower cpu and less ram. I can only assume this was because of the custom rom and customisations.
Would we see similar improvements in performance by using these roms, have you benchmarked your custom rom against the standard HTC one? This would be only reason I'd use a custom. Unless of course someone can give me an advantage that I've overlooked.

[Q] Um, My Nexus 4 hasn't got Jellybean 4.3 yet?

How can I get it?

Flash the factory image or just wait for the OTA (if stock). Depending on where you're located it could take a little while, some will get updates when they're announced, some get it later in the day/night.

Google said it'd be out today & I'm just sitting here waiting for it cause I wanna see if it makes the phone's touch screen more responsive... I've notice iPhones are more responsive than Androids and I hate making errors when typing when I know i clicked the right letter.. And I hate Swype..The unresponsiveness is making me want an iphone lol..

When I was running the leak, I and several others had notice touch was more responsive, also the driver was updated. I don't like Swype either, I just use the Google keyboard auto correct with my custom dictionary.
Also you may want to watch how and when you mention Apple products in forums, just a heads up.

No problem, I might go back to 4.3 over the weekend but for now my N4 has to work without bugs while I run some test on my S4.

Why would I root it for that when google released the update 2 days ago? I have a Nexus 4, i shoulda got it.. I dont have to root for that

Better start reading up on GSI and how to handle them first. No one might be able to elaborate on the pros, cons, and problems at hand in full depth for sure. Would take days to get those things explained to someone who's new. Modding in the end still is based on the willingness of a thorough self study about new ways and there basics, of those who want to use and try those ways out.
If you read up on it, and got some more context, it would be possible to helping there are specific questions on the details. But it ain't possible to explain everything, due to the massive changes.
