any solution please

Sorry, maybe I am being dumb but isn't the md5 file just used to verify size? You need to flash the .Tar not .Tar.md5?
Anyway. Try a different USB port, cable and even computer. I've had similar problems like this and changing the cable oddly worked.

I had the same problem. I solved it by extracting firmware with WinRar, delete the hidden.img file (contains carrier bloat and blaha, no worry about that...), repack with 7-Zip as tar file. Then voila, no problem!

Just open the file with 7-zip and delete hidden.img and flash again with odin

Anyone got a mirror for the VOD-G920FXXU5EQBG firmware? Sammobile is down and there's no way I'm paying £15 for a software update..

I've tried winrar, 7zip and the stock windows 10 file explorer to extract the zip file . Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?

As far as I'm aware the update for pie beta should be installed via stock recovery. It is not a Odin flashable file
And this is why I suggested you not try the upgrade. Very easy, and I mean, very ease to brick your phone if you don't know what you're doing.

Because you don't flash the oneui. You put the update.zip file on your external sd card, power off your phone, while powered off - press and hold the bixby button, press and hold the volume up button, continue holding them and press and hold the power button until you get into the recovery screen. Continue to follow the instructions on the page you linked to me...but these instructions were one that page.

Right there is no full rom for one ui yet. you can odin clean to the latest oreo update but then you must flash from sd or sideload from pc to apply the one ui update.

S8+ Bricked while rooting

I know, I know. I´m a stupid c*nt.
So I booted in download/odin mode, loaded TWRP onto it. Touchscreen wouldn´t work. Rebooted into download mode/screen again, loaded default firmware on it because TWRP wouldn´t work.
Now it only shows this:

}
(found picture on the internet).
Can´t turn it off, I only can reboot it by holding down ´Power+Volume down´.
Emergency recovery / Device initialization in SmartSwitch doesn´t work.
Model is SM-G955F - S8+
Is there anything that I can do now besides buying a new phone?
Alright, I found out that I can reset the phone using Odin3 and a .tar
Keep this thread as archive in case someone needs it in the future.
Hello, same problem, can you please describe you did step by step?

Just connect your phone to your PC, open Odin, load a .tar file into AP (e.g. twrp .tar file) and click start. Should automatically restart the phone and fix the problem.
Remove hidden.img from the md5 file. The error you are getting is because the modem.img isnt flashed. You van use 7zip to edit the files.
Sorry im not at home atm so cant tell which file it is.

How I can create a samsung combination file ?

Today I had a problem with FRP protection and tried to bypass it and I did some searching on google and I installed Combination Firmware on the phone and I successfully skipped the protection anyway. I want to create a combination file, but I found that I need two files in an AP file and a sboot.bin in BL but I did not find the sboot.bin file in A705FN and G532F, so is there anyway to resolve this problem ?

I had the same problem and struggled to find this same file . And I found the answer ..it was really easy .. download 7zip app and install it. Try opening the same firmware file as you did in WinRAR .It should now show the file you are looking for . WinRAR hides these for some reason is all I can figure . I was unable to find how to enable this in their settings. I tried 7zip just for the hell of it and it just worked. Let me know if this solves your problem . I was able to create my combination file and fix my frp lock on my phone successfully . It's the one I'm on now writing you this message . Good luck . Peace .

Edited boot screen file. (param.bin)

Does anyone have an edited version of the boot screen without the firmware root warnings that they could share?
Thank you,
Don't forget to add to archive as ".tar" before flashing in ODIN.

I believe so.
This is a boot splash screen to replace the annoying warning screen. I thought it highly appropriate for these substandard phones and is sufficiently different from the previous and after screens to see that boot is progressing.
The param.tar file is built from Stock OneUI v3.1 files. Flash in Odin

Weirdly your firmware doesn't have the param.bin file - so this will not work for that ROM.

Guess you are flashing it in the BL partition. Then wipe caches and dalvik through recovery and reboot. It worked fine with A10 as base.
sorry I did not understand, I am using google translator.
I have to download the file "param.bin" and then add the ".tar" to it and flash in odin

If you want to go back to stock, then yes.
This is clean boot screen without bootloader warnings for Galaxy A20e (SM-A202F) just flash in odin as AP Use at your own risk, I am not responsible for any damages. Param is from Fimware One UI 3.1

Flash SM-G781U1 XAA on a Verizon SM-G781V

I am trying to take a brand new Verizon SM-G781V and load the SM-G781U1 XAA firmware on it. (I prefer the unlocked software that removes all the Verizon branded bloat) I have tried several versions of patched Odin. I keep getting the same error <ID:0/006> Re-Partition operation failed. What am I doing wrong?

I just realized this should be in the Q and A section so I apologize. My Odin has re-partition UNCHECKED by default.

Please send a screenshot of your odin
on the phone in red letters I get SECURE CHECK FAIL: PIT
Can you also screenshot what is in options and pit, thanks
These are the default settings
How much storage do you have?
The phone is brand new out of the box, 128GB
Hmm do you have a pit file for it?
Did it come with the rom
Because it looks like you need a pit file or you need another rom
I used Frija to get the firmware and it did NOT come with a PIT file.....Is there something other than Frija that you suggest I use to download Samsung firmware ?
Extract Samsung PIT File from Samsung Firmware | DroidViews
Here're the steps to extract the Samsung PIT file from a Samsung firmware. The CSC binary contains the PIT for your Galaxy device.
www.droidviews.com
Here
That has all the steps you need.
I tried it and still got the error. Do I need to download my ORIGINAL firmware and use THAT pit? The pit I extracted was from the new firmware I want to load on the phone and it did not work.
