HD2 can't play DAT files?

Hi everbody;
I have some DAT files and need a software to play them back on my HTC HD2 but it says it can't play them and looks for a software for play back,what's the best to do this on my phone please

change .dat format to .mp4 with rename and play it with core player

Rename *.DAT to *.MPEG,. ha ha!!

Or *.avi, whatever you like really. Whatever works anyway!

By Changing file extemsion to *.mpeg OR TO *.avi of a *.DAT fiel, it does not work, pls. help

I would use a file converter fella,not just changing the extension...

use vcdgear to properly convert it to mpeg. changing the file extension will not change the fileformat..

MX player ,play .dat format video files , go to file manager long press .dat file select open as video and select mx player from list of players....it surely plays. I have tried it

You can play *.DAT file via MX Player
By default MX Player cant add DAT file in video list you should add the DAT extention on its file list
Goto Settings>Lists>File Eextetions>Add
type DAT and save it
after that MX Player automatically refresh the list and now you are able to play DAT files
