Did anyone find a screen off app or knock off app that works with Nougat and doesn't invoke the device administrator? I also use Nova Prime, but it doesn't work like before either.

If you guys meant double tap screen off and on then yes there are many apps playstore that work but they all have the same problem. Some of them interfere with finger print lock.
Non rooted
You can get many apps from play store

It works but there are lot of ads. There are many other similar apps in play store that does the same thing. There is wave to lock too.
Best way to lock is to use the floating dock and for double tap on ( if you are rooted then you can add the one line code by Franzyroy in build.prop ) this works beautifully without any battery drain. I am using it in my kangvip577 .
Remember these apps will ask you to make their app administrator in security options. You might also need to provide access permissions.
Yeah, the main problem is that the fingerprint to unlock doesn't work anymore with those apps... I should have made that clearer in the original post. Not rooted here.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with Nougat and Fingerprint. Has same problem like the others, Fingerprint Sensor is not enough to unlock screen. Requires PIN or alternative method. Also even when using Pin it plasters the phone with full screen adds. Not something I want to see dozens of times a day.

Yes, unfortunately all the apps in playstore seems to be like that.
My phone is rooted so that might be the reason why it worked for me.
Yes I gave you heads up in my first post about the ads.
All the apps in playstore are identical.

I found the solution for this problem... I searched in the widgets i found screen lock icon.. I'm using it to lock the screen.. When using it you can access your fingerprints to unlock your device without any apps

AL10C00B577 is Stock ROM for NXT-AL10 model. You are already on nougat L29C636563. So if you are looking for Kanvip B577
you need to unlock bootloader and then you can follow the steps from this below link to get to KangVIP B577 (custom ROM) . Below link has specific steps for your model. KangVIPB577 is an excellent custom ROM (pre-rooted ROM)

there's no b577 for your model L29C636,, last update for your model is b563.
b577 for only Chinese model like AL10 if you want b577 you have debrand it to AL10 or you can use kang b577 follow the post above for @Samavb

The solution is quite easy: nova prime settings > gestures and inputs > double tap (I prefer home button tap) > shortcuts > Screen Lock. No fingerprint interference, no device administrator, works great. Just to be clear, I'm referring to the Screen Lock in the "Shortcuts" tab, not the "Nova" one.
You can try this app - Screen Lock and enable its experimental function - "Fix fingerprint unlock not work".

Good question. I was going to use the app that you mentioned but it request unnecesary permission that are not neccesary for this kind of app,
If you compare both apps, we have removed the following permissions :
* Phone calls - read phone status and identity
* Your applications information - retrieve running apps
* Your accounts - find accounts on the device
* Network communication - full network access
We decided to develop a similar app but only using the minimal required permission. We apply this minimal permission policy to all apps that we develop, for example, our game "The Great Fusion" require 0 permissions.
For me , permissions are a strong reasson to decide for an app or other.
What do you think about?

Hi I found this thread from a suggestion in the nexus 6 section.
My problem is upside down portrait. If I select forced upside down portrait it works fine but on forced auto I cannot get it to flip upside down. I have all the boxes checked to enable all ways of rotation but it won't go upside down unless I specifically choose that rotation. My goal is for the screen to flip every direction based on how I'm holding the phone. Thanks for a great app I love the lack of unnecessary permissions

Hey. Sorry for the lake of replys last months. We have been working on a new app.
We find your suggestion very good and we think we can develop it eassily, we will try to update the app in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for your reports, we really appreciate it.
Btw, if any one want to try or newest app is callled "Smart Unlock" and it is used to remove lock security when connected to trusted wifis or bluetooths. I will try to open a thread on XDA soon.

So, I can report: works good on Moto G (2014) and Android 5.0.2, and also with Google Now Launcher.

Hi everyone,
All the Google Now threads have all the steps and procedure to make Android L's "always listening" mode work; but they do not work for all users. This method, which I discovered on Youtube, worked for me and should work for all rooted devices running Android 4.4+ (KitKat).
Prerequisites:
Android 4.4+ (Kit Kat)
Unleash the Google app: View attachment UnleashTheGoogle.apk **THIS WILL ONLY WORK FOR ROOTED DEVICES**
The latest Google Now launcher: View attachment GoogleHome.apk
And the latest Google Search app which I could not upload due to size limit: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid...B] [URL="http://d-h.st/kCa"]http://d-h.st/kCa
The work:
1) Make sure you have both the latest Google Now Launcher and Search app downloaded
2) Once you have those, install Unleash the Google... Grant root access.
3) Force close the Google Search app by going to settings>apps>Google Search> force close
4) After that all these options will pop up in Google Now Launcher's settings, if followed the instructions correctly.

5) Next what you would do is click "config flags" and scroll down until you see "e300_voice_everywhere, embedded_endpoint, and enable_e300" and make sure you turn them all on.
6) Then scroll down to "speaker_id_supported_locales" and put "en-US" **US has to be capital**
7) Scroll down and save the settings by clicking "Save config settings"
- Note that no toast notification will pop up saying that the settings have been saved. Force close Google Search just in case.
If you have done everything correctly, a new option (Audio History) in the voice settings in the Google Now Launcher settings should pop up. Make sure you have it turned on.
8) While in the voice settings, go to "Ok Google Detection" and click "from any screen"
9) Profit!

1) It appears as if the rollout is per account. So no matter what users try, it is up to Google for enabling the feature to their account. Sorry! :/

It wouldn't work at first because I was accessing the Google settings from the HTC Sense launcher but when I accessed it from the Google launcher I was able to get to the new settings and they carried over to the HTC Sense launcher, profit! Considering its server side, not client, I dont think it has anything to do with this. You might have been in the lucky batch that Google turned this one for. I did the same thing you did, and its not available to me..yet. Yeah it works with GEL but when I swap back to Sense,,it doesnt
works perfectly, but the hotword detection in any screen is not supported in Italy :crying:, there's a way to fix it ?

It appears this feature is rolling out by account, not APK. While basically everyone on the AP team is already running the latest version, I'm the only one seeing hotword detection. So, be calm young panda, it'll get to you soon enough.
Update 6/26/14, per Google: "Ok Google from any screen will be rolling out on most Android devices running KitKat over the next week, and will initially be available in the US for English speakers."

I've changed the speaker_id_supported_locales to it-IT, and now I got the wizard that tell me to say OK GOOGLE 3 times, but after this the google Search crash.

Thanks for the wonderful app. But I am not sure if I am missing something, there seems to be a loophole. For eg. I click 'Contacts' app which is locked in App Locker. It asks for the finger print. But when I click the arrows which is in the top right hand corner, it by-passes the lock and gets into the app. Where is the security here then? Anyone can bypass this right? Pls advise if I am missing something. Thanks!
I tried asking the above question in previous thread and got no reply before it got closed.
Go and add a 2nd security information (eg. Pin or password).
Anyway, this shouldn't happen.

But when I click the arrows which is in the top right hand corner, it by-passes the lock and gets into the app. Where is the security here then? Anyone can bypass this right? This replies on the device you are using. Most Android OS phn doesn't have fingerprint scanner. So we cannot work on this either~~~:crying:

If like that just make a backup before you clear the data, so you can restore it back easily whenever you want to use the apps again

Really.....when this happen. I know when the S9 + was release, we couldnt activate. It wasnt working but PD from police was working so i used that instead until the developer updated his BK app and then it was working fine. I get weekly app updates from BK and still working. Im afraid now to do a factory reset if i have to lol. This app is a life saver.
hi, i formatted my S9+ just when BK Manager and MDM Extension apks were removed from Play Store.
my question is, i have both of these apks files in my storage, will i be able to install them manually and whether the disabler app will still work as it was before? can someone kindly advise?
i have emailed the developer a couple of times asking the same questions, but not getting any response or help and was never my intent to ask for a refund.

It's dead as the mdm manager & extension r removed possibly as per Samsung's request.
Im tired of Samsung's forced bloats and the consequences.
SABS still works great. Just Google notsabs and you will find the instructions on how to install it.
Adhell used to tell you which were safe to remove and which were critical system ones it doesn't look like sab's does this is there a way that I'm not seeing to know what is safe to disable

After using this apk on galaxy s9, disabled many system apks with some S8 script, my fingerprint start to have issues and finally stop working at all. Probably should flash stock firmware because factory reset do not solve fp issues. Think i disabled some system apk which is in colaboration with fp sensor and now its use is broken. Leaved it in samsung service because of warranty, device is 2 weeks in use just. Perhaps i should know flash same stock firmware with odin again but dont want to mess until i am sure it is not hardware fail.
In service menu sensor give me error.
Be careful what to disable on newer devices..

No not a play store thing I don't think I can link it here you will have to google it also it requires a Samsung Knox enterprise key which are free there are many websites on how to do all this search adhell3 in google and there should be some guides that's how i got it

I could never get SABS to work so I have nothing to compare it to but it's pretty simple not idiot proof or anything but easy enough I never used anything besides adaway and package disabler before and figured this out in a few mins its has the best of both in one app

I got Adhell3 installed using instructions on Reddit. It was time consuming because I hit a few snafus in Android studio. I havent disabled anything yet though, lol.
Where can we request a section for this phone? I've had it for like 2 months it's great really, can't wait to root it and Mod the s**t out of it
It might just be a little difficult rooting the device, since unlocking the bootloader is no longer freely available from Huawei. But I would love to have a subforum for this amazing device [emoji16]

P30 Lite - oeminfo for dual sim
Hi all,
I have the P30 Lite C431 from EE UK. Anyone know how to rebrand that as the C432 Europe so that I can get the second sim working? I have the P10 Lite working with Dual sim which is now getting old and slow - this is designed to replace that. If someone can guide me how to reflash it - it would be much appreciated. I've managed to get full Firmware dumps for the P30 lite Russia and India phones - just need to flash the correct model number so that I can apply it.

Can anyone confirm if the phone can capture Raw DNG files in 48mpx resolution ?
Makes no sense having any Huawei sections now no bootloader unlocking but was expecting one for p30 lite im shocked there isn't one tbh even if its only somewhere to discuss device we all need to head over to request page and spam it lol [emoji16]

1. General performance is high enough for a specific section.
2. As start to bootloader problem - in my opinion - see in developer options OEM unlock CAN BE SET.
3. my only problem - after enroling fingerprint, whatever I do, fingerprint leads to pattern. Coming from Axon7, removing locksettings db solve the problem - in this case...any solution?

As soon as the is a way to unlock the bootloader then I think we will get the p30 lite forum as there will be more parcitipation
I honestly doubt that, because other Lite devices have their own forums, even though they can't unlock the bootloader either.
The Mate 30 Lite has its own forum now too, but the P30 Lite doesn't.

So, untill bootloder craked, is there a way to use fingerprint ONLY? Am I missing something? After enrolling, fingerprint works...but always to pattern screen - not directly to screen unlock.
Is there a setting I miss?

Enable PIN and Fingerprint and fingerprint should unlock the device on it's own

Make sure that Fingerprint ID is set to unlock your device.
Go to Settings > Security and privacy > Fingerprint ID > Fingerprint management, and select the first option.

Thank you for your answers. Fingerprint management/change unlock method/pattern/use fingerprint to unlock/enroling fingerprint/rename. Screen off. Fingerprint recognised BUT leads to pattern unlock. Fingerpring Does Not directly unlock the phone-I have to use pattern.
Huawei makes good phones but locking all bootloader unlocking options sucks
