Looks like you can't boot into system due to bad frimware. But gladly you've TWRP.Just boot into it flash the rom of your choice.FYI,you can use OTG to transfer rom or flash directly from OTG or Twrp supports MTP so you can connect to pc and transfer files as you like.Adb also works to push files.

Does OTG works in TWRP? If yes, you can use that to transfer rom of your choice and flash or flash the rom directly from OTG.

You can't enable wifi on twrp, it's not possible. Usb is the only way

ok, thanks for resolutive reply, btw this phone must retired, my error, one day i have connected the USB port on the contrary on the motherboard of a computer, when I tested the port I did it with the phone and from that day the usb is not gone more, honor to you soldier, you really been the best phone in the whole history of my life.

Replace the USB connector on the motherboard wouldn't be so difficult and expansive.

I thought of doing it, but I fear that it is something burned into the motherboard, however, on Monday ordered the USB port and try to change it as a last chancebut if charge and does not communicate I doubt that either the cable or the micro usb port, I'm pretty convinced by experience that is something on the motherboard, but now I try and keep you updated

USB port broken, unable to flash boot.bin

My phone died and requires me to flash boot.img in order to bring it back to Android. To my surprise, I couldn't get it to go, and after some testing it seems my USB port is having an issue where it won't connect data, but will charge. Both of my computers with seperate USB cords are stating that the USB device has malfunctioned. Does anyone know of a good solution? I know there are the pogo pins on the back, but I don't know if there is anything that connects to them or if they transfer data. Is my only option at this point looking for someone to do a USB port repair for me? Any ideas would be very welcomed. Thanks!
Not sure exactly what your problem is? Boot.bin? What exactly is that?

Where is it now if not Android? There are only certain instances that the computer will recognize it. Try a different computer as well (fresh install of HTC drivers).

You are trying to go into fastboot, right, and not just regular bootloader.

USB broken.. Can I root/flash recovery?

Hey all,
My USB broke i guess. I tried different cables and different computers, but nothing recognizes the device at all (not anything in device manager).
My TF700 is unlocked, so no warranty I want to flash a custom ROM, but my tablet isn't rooted and has stock ROM and recovery. Anything I can do or is my only option to get it fixed by asus?

Try cleaning the connector - at least it helped someone I know who even used an external battery charger for his phone for a few months because he thought USB was broken.

I tried this, but it doesn't seem to help. It's only the usb connection not working, I still can charge the tablet.
I've also tried my girls TF300 which works with all my cables and my computer, so I'm afraid it's the usb connector on my tablet.
But there is no way to get root acces or a custom recovery without usb?

You could try to downgrade to 10.6.1.14.8 by putting the firmware zip on a microSD card (there are guides about details how to name the zip that I don't remember right now), then you could root it with Motochopper, and then you can install a custom recovery using dd to mmcblk0p4 and rebooting.
The problem: No safety net. If something goes wrong in the process, the normal way to fix it is fastboot via USB - if your USB doesn't work, then the tablet would be bricked.
Motochopper won't work if there is absolutely no USB connection since you have to run it from your PC

ouch, didn't think about that.
So I guess I got two options?
1. Pay Asus for fixing my tab
2. Trying to live with the laggy stock...
Thnx anyways!
This is probably a stupid suggestion but I'm good at making those, is there any way he could copy the required files to a micro SD then insert the card back into the tablet and then use a terminal emulator to update his recovery?

I think for rooting you need at least a shell with the "shell" user account (which has more privileges than a normal app), but the terminal emulator runs under its own app user account.

No OS

I accidently wiped everything, and i'm in TWRP now, and don't know what to do.
If I reboot it'll tell me no OS installed. I have factory images and stuff but I don know how to flash it to my phone as i don't have ADB.
Read the stickies in general. It tells you how to flash stock images.

Do you need your phone to be connected to the computer to flash anything?;

Any Micro USB cable will do. If you don't have one, the only option would be USB OTG but if you haven't as micro USB cable, I wouldn't expect you have OTG.

Stuck in recovery without an OS and i can't use the usb port.

Hi guys,
Two weeks ago, I decided to try another rom, as I often do.
I booted into the recovery, formated everything, and got the rom ready on my computer.
However, when I connected the usb cable to the phone, nothing happened. Strange, it had no problems before. Tried another PC and a few other cables (the original one too). Nothing.
The phone only charges but isn't recognized by any computer (it doesn't even show up in the device manager and there is no sound). The drivers are ok, it worked before that.
I also tried an otg cable with the rom on a usb drive and it doesn't see that either.
I thought, "great", my usb port data pins must be dead so I ordered one. I'm so lucky that i got a DOA one. (this one isn't even charging the phone)
So now I'm waiting for a new one or a refund.
Do you know any way to transfer a file/rom to the phone that has no OS (it boots fine in the recovery - twrp) without using a cable?
Thanks
I'm not sure of the finer details but can't you do it via fastboot. Or at least I would imagine you could install stock rom this way. ??? Like I said I'm no expert just a guess.
Good luck.

You cannot use fastboot without a USB connection to a computer.
Maybe there is some dust or dirt in your USB port. Try using some compressed air to blow it out, or try taking a small plastic knife or something similar and scraping it a bit. Once your computer recognizes is, then you can proceed.
It is possible that a windows update or something messed with the drivers. I would uninstall the drivers and start over.

Sounds like it may be a hardware problem. I wouldn't think software would cause the phone not to be detected unless something is wrong with the bootloader.
You are sure the replacement usb flex cable is okay?

Maybe a problem with the motherboard connection? I'm not sure at this point.
I had a similar problem once. Fastboot would recognize every other device but not the N5. This solved my problem, https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3236946
