Live Wallpapers on Nougat - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Themes, Apps, and M

Hey - just got my Nougat update yesterday. I am locked stock US Verizon. Had to do a hard reset to fix the Wifi issue. No I cant seem to find how to use live wallpapers. I am using the stock touchwiz launcher, so I only get the crappy Samsung store. Can you help me find Live Wallpapers to be able to apply them to my homescreen?
Thanks!

I would recommend switching over to the Pixel Launcher (found here: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/pixel-launcher/pixel-launcher-7-1-1-3368800-release/pixel-launcher-7-1-1-3368800-android-apk-download/)
That way you can use the Google Wallpaper app which works pretty well.
A.

Thanks - I ended up using Google Wallpapers on the stock TouchWiz. Still seems odd that Samsung does not provide a way to apply live wallpapers.

Maps live wallpaper?

I know Google maps has a live wallpaper built in when you download it. But it doesnt how up in my live wallpaper list. Can someone helpe out? I'm running an aosp ROM but I don't think its a bug.

What version of android are you using? I don't remember seeing a maps live wallpaper for ICS, unless I am sadly mistaken. Then again, I wasn't really looking out for it.
Currently, I have an ICS rom on my HTC Evo, and I do not have the maps wallpaper.
Edit: Not unless Maps live wallpaper was removed by Google for later versions of Android. It requires a LOT of battery life, data, and RAM. I don't think that it was well favored among most Android users...and by that, I am not including you and the selected few who actually use it.

Question about Android themes for the Mate 7

Hey, I'm thinking of getting a Huawei well pretty much decided I will, I'll order it and try it out and if I don't like it I'll exchange for something else.
I'm just wondering out of interest cause generally I have no idea about using an Android ran device as I always have been on IOS but fancy a change.
When changing in the settings what kinda launcher you want to use for themes, could you download a theme on the Google play store that has a app tray/drawer? And for that matter should theme work on the Huawei Ascend mate 7 unless it states other wise.
Thanks, Eilidh

Themes on Android are specific to the launcher that you're using. Most themes that you find in the Play store are for a specific launcher, e.g. Go Launcher, Nova Launcher, etc. In the case of the Ascend Mate 7 the default launcher supports its own themes and can be downloaded from the Themes system app that is installed by default. Can;'t get easier than that
Hi, to get closest to original Android lollipop look on EMUI, do the following:
- Install EMUI 3.0 AM7 ollipop theme, Google it, you'll find easily.
-Install nova launcher, set icon theme to lollipop
-Download exdialer app set it as default dialer and contacts app, it has same lollipop theme
- Download Google messages aop, set as default msgs app.
- install Google keyboard, set as default input.
This is closest you can come to default Google lollipop Android theme without rooting.

S7 as close to stock as possible?

Hi. I would like to explain what i want to achieve and maybe some of you guys can help me out.
I am on stock Nougat with my S7. I've tried lineage and some other roms but I am not very satisfied.
I woulld like to stay on stock, but get the closest to stock as possible.
I would like to: Install Pixel Launcher and Assistant (i heard that might come soon anyway). I want to disable HW buttons and add on screen nav bar (i think maybe xposed can do that). I would like to flash google apps, like phone, messaging, etc.
Is this possible? I saw I can root my nougat s7 just not sure if what i want is achievable. Thanks!
Dan
The closest I've gotten without rooting or changing the kernel was doing the following:
- Buy and install Nova Launcher and find a backup on the web that will restore it to look like the Pixel.
- Install Pixel Icon Pack-Nougat Free UI
- Go to the theme store and install Pixelize or Material Design.
- Buy Package Disabler Pro from policedeveloper to disable Samsung apps (no root required)
That's the closest to stock I got.
Why not use the Google Now Launcher? Swap Samsung's stock apps for Google's and add in the pill widget etc if required too. Should be able to get close fairly easily.

That would only be a temporary solution given Google will remove it soon from the store.

Live wallpapers 10.0.2

Hi all,
Is your live wallpaper working in 10.0.2? I had the live wallpapers from OP7T which was working on 10.0.1 but after upgrading to 0.2 the wallpapers are no-go. I can see the preview but can't set them as home/ lock screen wallpapers...when I do so, it reverts to basic wallpaper! I even downloaded the wallpaperresources.apk and reinstalled it but the issue still persists!
Same happens to me. Hope to be fixed.
Same here. Was already wondering and thought that i was the only one.
Well, they fix few and break more with each new update!
I think it is not a bug, they don't want ppl to use new live wallpapers on their older phones.. Maybe..
I installed back the original wallpaperresources.apk, cleared data, restarted.. it worked again..
Restore back to stock oneplus 7 pro wallpapers resource

Pretty sure it's a feature rather then a bug... Press F ?
When i installed whole 2gb 10.0.2 package then the wallpapers came with it. When doing incremental update they got deleted
In this thread the live wallpapers are provided in a separate apks.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/themes/oneplus-7-pro-live-wallpapers-t3930260
But unfortunately not the live wallpapers from OP7T (Pro) which I want so much, since the recent OnePlus Wallpaper Resources (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/onepl...-1-190830195335-67c9bbc-android-apk-download/) will not work on older OP devices than the recent T series.
No news bad news I guess? I miss that blue animated background so much with my 7 Pro.
...a good fella ( @daavid1995 ) did the trick! He extracted the OPWallpaperResources.apk from 10.0.2. on OP7T. This works on OB6 on my OP7 Pro -->

Live Wallpaper picker.apk for CM11 - Solved

I found several threads about this issue that did get solved but it is not working for me.
I installed CM11 on my old phone and there is nothing newer for it. CM11 runs Android 4.4.4 .
I tried several live wallpaper picker apps and none of them worked.
If I install the app then I get the option in setting but it just crashes and does not allow to choose a live wallpaper. If I do as the thread suggests in the below link and this to just move the file to particular directory and change the permission and reboot then it would also crash.
