K2_UL Recovery not accessible - HTC One SV

Hi,
i tried to root a K2_UL with S-ON running 4.2.2
Bootloader Shows:
TAMPERED
UNLOCKED
K2_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOTT-2.21
RADIO-1.21.40f.00.23
OpenDSP-v13.2.0268.0620
OS-3.11.169.6
I followed this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2113671&page=1
But if i tried to boot into recovery it just stoped at "entering recovery..."
So i crawled through some threads and tried the TWRP Recovery in version 2.7 and 2.8, both with the same result.
Anyone with a tip what i can try next?
kind regards

You should organize and refresh the partition layout.
Flash the appropriate stock ROM for your CID and read my experience. Read carefully.
S-Off for the brand HTC One SV - k2_ul
I did CID 111111, because I had Brand ROM. Maybe you do not need. I do not know, because you do not write. Just try.

A sign for an outdated recovery.img. I can't give you a link right now, as i'm on mobile, but look into my index thread (in general section) there you should find a working recovery for 4.2.2 OS.

Haha, i was sooo blind.
I tried different versions from this thread but never noticed the attached zip on the bottom of it, i followed the link and tried about 3 different versions from the TWRP website, also this link is down.
Thanks old.splatterhand.

I updated the thread/first post of the linked thread with afh link for TWRP 2.7.0.1.
I also drop the link for it here, if people searching for it: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767142642

Bootloader still locked.

Hi guys,
I have a problem i followed the guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
to S-Off my new HTC Sensation XE from O2 which was succseful and as per the guide i chose N to the option to install Clockwork recovery.
When i then followed the steps to install recovery after it just will not work have tried many different methods including ADB but it just fails to install
after some digging i have discovered that unusually when i loot the bootloader screen it does say that the device is S-off however the pink bar at the top that normally says unlocked is saying locked which is why i am guessing any installs keep failing.
Anyone know how to fix this please, thanks in advance.
You've not fully S-OFF'd it yet...run Revolutionary it again until it asks you to flash CWM. Say yes to it and then you're good to go
Thanks for the reply, i tried that but it now says my device is not supported in revolution

Then download the recovery you wish to use and flash it via fastboot

As its S-OFF I'm kinda hopefully that it can be recovered.
The phone will boot into the bootloader but not into recovery and I can't see the device from adb.
Is the next step to install an RUU? How do I know which one to install?
First flash a custom recovery.
Then change the hboot.
Finally use the proper RUU
All details about these 3 steps can be found in the INDEX thread in the Development section.
Good luck

Don't think you need to flash an hboot, just flash a new recovery and install any custom you like from there
RUU cannot overwrite the 6.98.x hboot. It has to be replaced. Try 0.98.2000, there is a thread with instructions in the INDEX. Use the one-click solution

thanks for your help guys. I'd tried to flash cyanogenmod but the recovery couldn't find the file. reflashed the recovery and pushed the zip to the sdcard again and that worked. he's got now got a working phone

You probably flashed the recovery for the regular Ville (S4 processor). The one you have is VilleC2 (S3 processor). This is the recovery I would recommend:

I'm sorry, I've posted on several threads already but haven't gotten any responses yet. The details above are what appeared after I did the power + volume down thing. Can I upgrade to Kitkat with the instructions in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2665746 without doing anything else?
I just got my phone 2 days ago. I'm totally clueless on HTC's workaround.
thats easy , go to htcdev , to get the token to unlock the bootloader then flash the recovery , after flashing the recovery , you can flash any rom

One SV hanging in Recovery Screen

Hello,
so today i wanted to root my HTC One SV. I never rooted a phone so I watched a video and followed the steps. I unlocked the bootloader and than tried to flash the newest TWRP recovery. After I went on recovery in fastboot, my phone hung at the screen with the HTC brand and the text "entering recovery" on the top. How can i fix that ?

Most likely the recovery you are using is outdated and to old for your hboot.
Can you give us a link, to the recovery you are using and the information, which version of One SV you have?
