I had rooted my oneplus x. Custom recovery = TWRP, ROM = Lineage OS. Android version 7.1.1
I received Lineage OS update. So i went to recovery mode, flashed the zip file, wiped Dalvik and Cache and reboot to system. I no longer had root access. The root checker apps said "Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device". The supersu version is have is 2.79. I have no clue how to mitigate this problem.

1. I flashed my Nexus 5 with the factory image of the above build.
2. Boot loader unlocked
3. Custom recovery installed(CWM)
4. Tried flashing SuperSU 2.16
-While rebooting, I got the error "Root privileges might be lost"
- Clicked fix
5. But, rooting didn't come through.
6. SuperSU says "There are no binaries and it can't install"
Any fixes? Please help. This is getting on my nerves.
PS : I don't wanna use CFAR coz it will erase everything even though the boot loader is unlocked. I don't want to lose any data.

this software is Vroot and do root even on toasters XD
kingo install root to manage root. and also makes root on any device
go to google and type Vroot. and a program with a click does it all installs drivers

I was running 5.1 stock and rooted with supersu.
I've manually flashed 5.1.1 and that seems to have gone well..the phone is up and working.
I downloaded SuperSU 2.46 and flashed it via TWRP, phone rebooted and I had a superSU icon.
When I click on it I got an error saying no binaries are installed.
So I booted to TWRP and flashed it again, then when exiting TWRP I was asked if I want to install SuperSU so I said yes.
Phone rebooted and now I have a superSU installer icon. I've run that and selected TWRP.
It downloaded a file, rebooted to recovery, flashed and restarted the phone.
The phone is backup but not rooted. I still have a superSU installer icon..
How do I root this phone ?

I accidentally wiped system using twrp and now it says no is installed. I had rooted before and when I tried to install a custom ROM using twrp. It failed. Whenever I reboot, it shows device not rooted swipe to install supersu . I swiped with no use. Also installed SuperSU 2.5x beta. Install succeeded. But still shows device not rooted. Please help
If you can access recovery, try any custom rom (CyanogenMod is recommended) and then flash Chainfire's systemless root.
I flashed official ROM and it worked.

My device installed twrp and root. The following year, the device encountered some errors so I restored the original settings. Then the device failed to get into the operating system but into the twrp interface. My device is motorola moto c install twrp version 3.1.1-0

I face problem with one plus 7 pro....
I root the phone and then install latest twrp temporally at that time my op7 running os android 10 last version,
then I decided to install custom ROM lineage os 18.1 I install only zip file through twrp..
(wipe>advance wipe> 1st 4 part wipe and then home again).
Normal install find the zip file and flash,
go back twrp home and reboot to system while twrp say reboot to install remain zip file and also say no os install when I go to reboot to system.
now the issue is I have no gapps and twrp also lost root..
What is the possible process to install the twrp permanent and also gapps or other custom room..???? ans plzzzzzzz
