Battery dead?

Hi xda
My battery is already at 0 percent when ive used wifi or 3g for just, or less than, 1 hour. When i got airplane mode on itll last like 7 hours which is fine.
Anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution? Is my battery.. dead?
Thanks in advance

Sarcasm will not help anything. Besides, nobody is obliged to help you.
Anyways, many users have had this problem and the solution has been discussed. I believe you must change the battery. 7hrs good for your battery in airplane mode? That's actually very bad battery life. Time for a change of battery
Cheers

Thanks for replying bscraze, +1 Thanks
Will look for a new battery then.
Did you try callibrating battery.
Also our phone gets really hot (max is 55°C for me) and battery starts to go crazy . It won't charge higher than 46% and discharges when connected to charger
Try keeping the battery in refrigerator overnight and try Using it again (this works for laptops)

"Wlan_rx_wake" Wakeclock Problem

Hi everyone. So today I just wanted some help with a problem I've had for a while. So my battery would drain really quickly, like in 6 hours with little use. I figured out this only happens when I'm at school and I checked it using BBS. I had to bring my old iPod to school to use for Wifi as I need my phone to last a day, but for some reason the school WiFi drains my S4 battery. Can anyone give me some advice?
EDIT: I think I posted this in the wrong forum. Can someone move it to questions, answers, and troubleshooting? Thanks.

Ruined baterry

If the baterry drains super fast does it mean its broken and should I buy a new one ?

It could possibly be a problem with the batttery.
Are there any wakelocks occuring? Do you have a lot of stuff running in the background? Does the rom have any battery problems?
Without checking all the above, we can't really help you

Unknown Batter Drainage (not camera demon)

OK so I rooted and over the pass few days I have noticed battery drops a lot. Before I could easily get 3-4 hrs screen on time but now there is only 1-2 hrs? Is this a known problem after you root? And is there anyways to fix. I use snapdragon guru before and after I rooted.
Thanks

Do yourself a favor and install Better Battery Stats. BBS will give you very detailed information about what wake locks are keeping your phone awake and draining your battery. In general, most people say to avoid "optimizing" and "battery saving apps" because they rely on activating the processor to function. Your best bet for great battery life is to minimize your wake locks.
Especially guru which uses more battery than it saves

In the thread above yours someone else has a similar issue and they found that it was tied into the wifi being turned on or turned on and then off.
Try turning off wifi, reboot the phone and go a day without using wifi (if possible) and see if that is the problem.

One of the few things Snapdragon Battery Guru tries to do is dynamically switch your WiFi on and off, coincidence?
Of course as Rootsu said, in the process it will use more CPU cycles than it saves. You could use Llama or Tasker for this and many other tasks with a minimal footprint. Avoid the advertising platform that is Battery Guru all together.

[Q] Xposed framework battery drainage

Hi i have a nexus 5 rooted on the stock rom and when i install the xposed frame work i have significant idle drain even when i have no moduels enabled. if any one knows what could be causing this please let me know thanks.
What do the battery stats show?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
its the same as when i dont have it enabled. only with alot more battery drain not really much out of the ordianary in the battery stats
Well I would remove the framework and see if it goes back to normal. It might be a coincidence, you could have a bad signal or something. The framework doesn't change my battery life at all

I dont know really its kinda weird because when i uninstall it,it goes back to normal and as soon as i enable it the intense battery drain starts again

How many times have you tried it? I would download GSam or BBS. These are battery stat apps that can help detect where the drain is coming from.
ive tried it a few times now with same result
Gsam and screen shots. Will be much easier to help you.
What Xposed modules do you use?
I can't see how framework would drain battery on it's own.

I had the same issue, all i wanted was customizable quick panel, battery icon and reboot menu. So I found Cataclysm Rom and have been using that ever since with no issues
