[Q] How to use usb tethring to access internet on our pc throught mobile..?

hey friends.. i have another problem ..
yesterday my internet connection was not working so i tried to connect my sgr's internet to my pc but every time i tried to do so it produced error 633 saying that the modem is currently in use.....i used usb tethring ...
anyone know how to solve this problem...?

Hav u installed samsung usb driver or kies in ur pc ?

Then u shuld try to reset your settings.....or close all apps while tethering via task killer....

finally got it working....
Hey guys .. i worked it out today..
installed pdanet on my device and on my pc then just switched on the usb tethring option &clicked on the pdanet tray icon on my pc and connected to internet without any problem....
still thanks fr helping out... cheersssss.......

It works out of the box in Ubuntu linux

Good to hear that pdanet solved your problems. For general information, in Ubuntu USB tethering works without any third party app. Just make sure that USB debugging is switched off
(Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging), connect with USB cable and open Network Manager in the computer.

[Q]How to Enable USB Host in CM10

I flashed CM10 stable, and installed USB Host Controller. It showed Found S3C USB Driver. But I plug my usb disk with Y cable, it can not be found! Could anybody get help?

You already use external power to power up your USB disk? Last time very few kernal support USB Host but can't remember default CM kernal support it. Maybe because I never try it.

Yes, I use the external power. The app named USB Host Controller shows S3C USB Host Driver found. And I also found the driver in the source code of CM 10. https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_samsung_crespo/tree/ics/drivers/usb

Can't access on pc

Hi i can't access my files on my pc (it is unlocked) not even sync for music
also it appears as a audio device in devices and drives

The correct drivers are installed? Tried with different USB cables? Tried all USB ports on the computer?

The phone used to work with the same computer and USB cable?

If ur rooted install multirom and install cm13 as secondary os.. then connect to ur pc while ur in cm13 it will detect the driver after that unstall cm 13 and connect as u do normally

But why in the name of all that's holy would you ask the question and then not share the answer for others who regularly have the same problem? Keeping info to yourself is the best way of maintaining your "zero thanks" status...

oh sorry for not sharing what i did to solve the problem! here is what i did!
1. connect phone to pc
2. unlock
3. swipe down and touch the notification that says "usb for charging touch for more options"
4. select the option you want

G7 Power dont appear for file transfer

Hello,
I just installed LineageOS on my new moto G7 power and after a succesfull installation it doesent appear on file explorer to make transfer from computer to the smartphone
I tryed USB debugging and "default usb configuration" setting, set into file transfer. but it still doesnt work
I tryed on windows and on linux it doesent work on both...
Please if anyone could help me it would be so nice!!

Official Lineage 18.1?
Generally, I turn USB debugging off for file transfers, Seems like it causes issues for me.

Did you try another port on your pc, did you install needed drivers on windows? When you connect your phone to the pc, you get a notification what the phone should do just click there and set the mode you want.

Question Junsun Pro, I can't connect the unit to a PC

Hello I need help with my junsun pro. I tried to connect it to a pc to use ADB but nothing seems to work.
I tried with usb 1 and usb 2, but when I connect the cable nothing happens.... The pc doesn't detect the connection and the radio doesn't detect as well.
The same usb port works with usb sticks and phone. I don't understand the problem.
I have already enabled usb debug (via developer option and secret menu).
Another important problem is that the usb settings menu doesn't work, so I can't change the usb connection type....
Is there a sort of block?

Connect both (PC and head unit) to the same WiFi and just use:
ADB connect 192.***.***.*** on your PC to connect. (Use the IP-address from your head unit instead of ***)
You don´t need the USB connection.

Well... Logcat saves all files in the same folder, so why do you want to change that?
It´s easy to access, so there is no need to change that.
BTW:
I use FX since a couple of years now on all my units and never had any issues to find logcat files at all.

Hello, I don't know if you still have that problem or not.
But the fix I had for my exact same problem to access ADB was to click the 3 dots inside the dev options (up right).
And then select the other option. They are both typed in Chinese, but what you should do is that first change it:
Connect your USB to the laptop.
Try: adb shell with both USB ports, it will work with one of them.
