Im trying to go back to stock from rooted 5.1.1 with TWRP to stock but I get the sboot.bn error please help I'm using the correct firmware because I live in Ecuador and there are only two posible .tar.md5 files one 6.0 and one 5.1.1 which I'm using.

But Im currently 5.1.1 rooted do i use the 6.0.1 firmware?

hey guys, i have 5.1.1 version on my S6...the coj6 one.....i wanted to flash the uk BTU version but it seems like it's deleted from sammobile.com ....so i decided to flash an older 5.1.1 on my device and then get an ota to the latest BTU 5.1.1 and then hopefully get an OTA of 6.0....so my question is, can i flash an old 5.1.1 on the latest one? knox?

Beta program has been closed... you can flash Ap and CP but not the bootloader if the current one os newer than the one you trying to flash... you will get sboot fail in odin

Hi.
This is is what I did.
Install TWRP, if you haven't, then install a CUSTOM lollipop ROM from this forum.
If you want stock lollipop, flash it via Odin - after flashing the custom lollipop ROM.
Good luck!

first flash stock MM then flash stock LL then flash custom LL
Try it again, and make sure that the auto reboot box and F.reset time box is checked in Odin Options
Make sure you flash your country frimware. Else it will fail in odin. And use latest odin.

First you have to flash twrp and full wipe system,data,dalvik cache,cache
And download stock 5.1.1 lollipop firmware
And flash via odin and enjoy

I'm on latest version for j700f.... When I try to downgrade it gives me an error in odin "Fail" and in mobile something like "SW Rev. ".. I heared that after november security update it's unable to downgrade from marshmallow to lollipop

I tried going back to Stock Recovery and Firmware with Odin but failed, tried another thing by converting the zImage or recovery to a flashable with Odin too and failed again.
I'm a Lollipop 5.1.1 user how can go to 6.0.1, the update isnt even showing on the System Update, so i guess i must use a PC.
Please help on upgrading my rooted 5.1.1 TWRP J700M to Marshmallow
Go to www.updato.com and get an MM rom for your fon and region.
Flash with Odin.

I think you can flash this https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/development/rom-resurrection-remix-mm-5-7-0-t3414185 and then flash ROMS that require Android 6.0 , As it is saying that to install Resurection remix, it may be with Android LP, or MM,

After rooting and installing a rom i now dont have a working modem, i attempted to reflash the stock rom using odin but each time it fails to write when using the AP. i have managed to update the modem with odin but did not work.
I believe i may be using the wrong stock firmware files. could anyone help me please to locate the stock firmware? sammobile doesnt seem to be able to let you download firmware for free anymore?
Its an unlocked device but i had it through EE so i believe this is the file i need? can you please help

I dont know exactly but accoring to your title their bud you got a 955f which is Exynos not Snapdragon
