Hello i am looking for some help my dad has passed away and he had a password on his Samsung galaxy s5 and now we can not get in to it looking to get the contents off the phone it is a bell phone and it is a Canadian phone model sm-g900w8 and they are adv that they can not do anything to help us get in to the phone any help would be great

hello everyone, couple of weeks ago i bought a samsung galaxy s6 edge sm-g925w8 canadian.
the phone is originally from Videotron but its unlocked
Often i dont receive text and call but when i do i receive text messages from four or five people at the same time who sent me the messages before. Also when people try to call me it says the phone is switched off but i can make phone calls everytime.
please help me

hello .. m going to buy a 4 month used s7 today so wanted to know if there are any codes to check everything is working fine on fone like *#0*# .. i read on somelink that it doesnt work on samsung s7 so wanted to know ...
i suggest you download samsung members app from the google play store or from galaxy apps , so you can test WiFi/Bluetooth/speakers/touch screen...
and you can also dial *#0000*# or try with *#0*#

I know this is very unusual question for you but I need your expert help. Last 2 days back my Galaxy S7 display got broken and I went to my nearest service center of Samsung. But unfortunately Galaxy S7 is not available in my country and the accessories as well. My phone was brought from abroad and I am using it in Bangladesh. I went another service center and they offered me to set Galaxy S6 display in my Galaxy S7. In that case I was accepted the proposal and they setup S6 display in my S7. Now my set take restart when I open multi app in my mobile. So my question is, is there any solution for that? I have checked that both of the mobile display is same. Then why this problem is there? Thanks for your earliest reply.
New to xda and adroid alike. I have several devices and not just android so i have a proposition. List of devives at end. If someone can walk me through the complete process of rooting and installing custom roms and everything else step by step from beginning to end on one of my devices then i would offer one of the others up for trial purposes as long as whoever tries their very best not to brick it as warranty will be out the window of course. Almost all are still under warranty and most are rather expensive.
The at&t s7 edge is what i would like to root but may be better if i learn on something more practical and less expensive. I am pretty open EXCEPT the to s7's are off limits u til i am positive whoever may take me up on this knows exactly what they are doing. I really dont need any bricks as my house is wood and vinyl.

As you can see i have a couple and always picking up others if i can get a deal on them. The s7's i think i want to wait on unless i can find some spares reasonably priced but just about any of the rest should be fair game depending. Like i said teach me, and experiment all at the same time. If there are more than one person/people that want to take me up on this then maybe we can work something out or ill just have to choose which to do. Endgame is to be able to without hesitation be confident enough to pick up any android and do whatever is possible with it, i mean isnt that what androids are all about?
