JETech case - Google Pixel XL Accessories

Expecting my Pixel XL next week and I found this last night on Amazon for just $0.99 w/ free shipping. Must be a promotional price.
Their iPhone and S7 cases are around $8-$10 and come with decent reviews. Just thought I'd share in case anyone is looking for a backup/alternative case option. Anyone have any experience with this case or this brand?
I'll post pics when mine arrives.

I ordered this as well. Looking forward to it. I couldn't decide on a case so I chose this for use in the meantime. The pics look very nice. Now I just need a phone.

Case review
Got it in the mail today. Came in a fairly standard non-descript zip-lock bag. Here are my first impressions and some pictures.
Look/feel: The fit is excellent. Nice soft touch back. The carbon fibre accents aren't to everyone's taste but the sides provide a really good amount of grip because of them. The case is fairly slim and is no bigger than my Ringke fusion (which I love). One thing to note: the back of the case is flush, unlike others which have raised bumps on the corners to prevent the back of the case from getting scratched up when laid down. So I don't know how the soft touch back will hold up with time.
Protection: It's thicker around the corners which means it should provide a good amount of protection in case of a drop. I ain't doing no drop test though. There is a good lip around the front which will let you lay it face down without scratching the front glass even with a tempered glass screen protector. The camera lens is nicely recessed and shouldn't get damaged when laying the phone down.
Buttons: Buttons are really not good at all. They are hard to press with little to no feedback - my only cases for comparison are the Diztronic and Ringke fusion which are both known to have excellent buttons. Most cases now have slits cut on either side of the buttons which vastly improves their "clickyness" but this case doesn't. You could probably cut some slits yourself but I haven't tried this yet. There's also no difference in the texture of the power vs volume buttons. A few ridges on the power button would have been nice to allow for tactile differentiation.
Openings: All openings are very accurate but the USB opening is a little on the small side. My charger fits fine but my third party A to C cable does not. Headphone opening is round and with most newer headphones should be fine but my old Sennheisers (with the larger plug) won't fit without an adaptor - this shouldn't be a deal breaker. There is one large cut-out for the camera/flash/focus so it shouldn't have problems focusing. The fingerprint scanner opening is nice and large which is good for the swipe gestures. The speaker cut outs are fine. One more thing: as with most cases the USB cut out is somewhat sharp and prolonged resting on your pinky may cause discomfort - a hair better than my Ringke fusion but not ideal. I wish more manufacturers would pay attention to this.
tl;dr: Basically a decent case but let down by very poor button feedback and a slightly small USB opening. Also the carbon fibre look is not for everyone. Not going to replace my Ringke fusion any time soon.
Cheers!

Rock Quicksand Case Review

This review is for the international version of the Rock Quicksand Case in Gray, being used on the At&t HTC One X.
The holes are a little misaligned, but it has no impact on usage or performance.
The case has a nice, soft feel to it. I would say it is somewhere between felt and super fine sand paper (it isn't going to scratch you).
It is a very thin case and doesn't add much to the overall bulk of the phone.
On the camera there is a lip to protect it from scratches when it is set down.
There is a bit of a lip over the front of the screen, but I couldn't tell you which would hit the ground first first, as it's pretty level with the raise due to my screen protector.
The cutouts look nice, but one thing to keep in mind is that neither the top nor bottom are covered. I would say that the lip from the corners would take most of the impact if it is dropped on its head though.
Overall,
This is the best case I have ever had. The case has a great feel and look, and doesn't add too much bulk, while protecting it from nicks due to being dropped.
Hope that helps!

Texture
I just got the black one (http://www.amazon.com/Rock-Black-Composite-Quicksand-Poly-carbonate/dp/B0089DRQL6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1350374497&sr=8-1&keywords=rock+quicksand+one+x) today and it's awesome! Very very thin, and fits quite snugly. The back is protected very well against scratches. This definitely includes the camera lens, which is one of my main concerns.
The screen and most of the front is not protected very much at all. I certainly wouldn't set my phone facing down on a table. On the other hand, that means that swiping from side to side is great. I remember there was no way to swipe between Google Chrome tabs with my old jelly case. The slightly rough material on the back is great for gripping the phone, and it doesn't pick up lint like the jelly cases do.
Thanks alot for your review!
Also appreciate the review - looks pretty good. Thanks for taking the plunge with an International case on an AT&T variant. I really don't understand why manufacturer's aren't making more AT&T specific cases still.
Have you used any USB cables other than the stock HTC one with this case? I have a few different USB cables and am afraid they may not all fit with the case on. Any pictures you can provide with the case on and cable in would be great.
A case like this would never work for me. 100% of the time I drop my phone, it lands screen down. :crying:

I've used 3 USB cables other than stock and they all work without any hassle. The cutout for the microUSB is rather large (which can be seen in the 1st and 2nd pictures), and unless your using some monster USB cable (I haven't seen one before) it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Me too! that's why I use a screen protector (only cost like $10 for a decent one on amazon). I've dropped it on asphalt face down from waist high and nothing happened.
I've had this case since last Friday and it's awesome. It's extremely light, thin, and has a fantastic texture that gives it a great grippy-ness.

EXO Skin review (with pictures)

I love skins for my devices. It gives them a custom look while preventing scratches. That is why I jumped at the chance to receive a free EXO skin of my choice. They have quite a variety to choose from on their site. For me, it always comes down the the wood designs, this time I chose the wood grain bubinga. The skin itself also has a slight texture with the wood grain that is a wonderful added touch that makes it feel more true to life. I love dark wood looks, as I currently have a skinomi wood grain skin on my Asus Transformer Prime tablet and keyboard dock.
This is the first skin that I have ever applied with a hot air dryer, and it certainly helps form the skin to the back cover. However, the skin isn't perfect in it's coverage of the back. I lined up the camera, flash, and speaker holes perfectly. What was left was slightly off for the outer edge of the skin. The right side was too close to the edge, while there was still some white showing on the left side. It's not too bad since its barely a millimeter off, but it is definitely something that I noticed.
The rest of the skin went on smoothly, but I was surprised to notice that mine did not come with the home button piece. I most likely wouldn't have kept the piece on anyway depending on if it caused issues with the fingerprint scanner since I use it daily. The sides have stayed in place pretty well over the past few days without any movement or peeling of the edges. Another thing that is slightly off is the top edge of the screen cover. I have the speaker, camera, and sensors aligned properly, but the notification LED cutout is a little lower than where the light is.
The skin itself isn't too thick, but it does make swiping the fingerprint sensor a tiny bit more difficult. I was even able to put a case back on over the skin, albeit with a little difficulty. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the skin, and look forward to more skin choices from EXO skins in the future. Here's hoping this review fixes the slight errors on the back, as well as possibly introducing more wood grain choices.

I really wonder how it would look like when you use skin with wireless charger backcover... (it's a bit thicker than normal backcover) anyway thanks for the review, looking to buy one of these also... Any recommendations for the brand? (currently what I found is exo skin and slickwraps)

:good: looks good. But I'll have to give it a pass, judging on how prone i am dropping my phones...

That's what I would like to know since I wouldn't be able to get a case that works with the wireless back.

I had one similar (Skinomi) and it doesn't quite fit the wireless back.
The sides are fine but it has trouble covering the corners, they "scrunch" so it's not an even/smooth fit. If you cut slits you maybe able to get it to fit.
I should add that because the sides are ridged and not smooth the side stickers have trouble staying in place if rubbed too much. Particularly around the top/bottom.

thanks for the info... i guess i wont be buying it... gosh i hate how wireless charging backcover doesnt have any case >.>
Wow I would probably not have the patience to apply it so gingerly with hair dryers and it would be skewed!
Thanks for the review.
Everyone has their own taste. But yuck.
Reminds me of Walmart furniture with plastic stickon woodgrain.

Rearth Ringke Slim case

I got this case on amazon for $10.99. It comes with a mediocre screen protector.
The case itself is extremely light and fits around the phone securely. It covers every edge which is nice for these light shell cases. The design is similar to OEM look.
The feel is a little slick but better than the phone metal body. I wish it were more rubbery like other slim cases I've had before.
The case I got was gold.

I have the clear one. Love it. It's the only super slim case case I could find that covers all sides and provides a small lip for face down lay on the table protection.
Edit: the black one has a soft touch feel BTW. I have that one on my M8.[emoji16]

Thanks! That's good to know. I was debating on whether to get black or gold and just randomly chose gold.
I wish the screen protector it came with was larger. It doesn't cover the entire surface and it's a weird size in that it doesnt fit the actual screen part of the phone either.

So true! I've placed many screen protectors on phones over the years and this one was by far the worst. It just didn't fit right at all I had to trash it. But it was free so I can't complain too much. I prefer glass ones now anyway.

I had gotten the clear one, but I don't recommend it. The cutout for the camera flash is too close, and since the case is clear, the flash will reflect and cause a glare in your photos. The black and gold ones probably don't have this problem though.
Looks really sleek and I kinda like the gold one however it does look like the Huawei Mate 7. Have held this phone with this case and it sure was very light and slim. I agree that it would've been better if the feel is a little more rubbery because I am not that comfortable holding the phone with that case.
I bought this case last month when the phone first came out. I bought the clear one and it was very slim and looked very sharp. This past weekend while walking through a parking lot I went to pull my phone out of my pocket and literally threw it up in the air and it took about a 6 foot bounce off the pavement. The corner of the Ringke case is broken off but there isn't one scratch on my phone.
Now you expect a giant brick of a case like the otterbox to survive these types of falls but I don't expect an Ultra thin case to survive and I was very impressed it was able to protect my phone. Its a good case.
I would'nt had bought this case if I knew it was this slippery lol
I have one in clear and like the way it does not add bulk to the phone at all. You feel like you are holding just the phone and the clear case really shows off the two tone.

[Review] Poetic Affinity Case

I recently acquired a Poetic Affinity case to review and to going to give my honest opinions compared to Spigen Rugged Armor case.
This case is a hybrid of TPU and polycarbonate, which gives the case stability as well increased grip/flexibility. The extra TPU along the corners and edges of the case help give the phone shock absorption as well as keeps the phone stable while texting on a table.

Before receiving this case I had the impression that the case would be obtrusive and giving added bulk to a slim phone. The case is actually very low profile, and very easy to handle or pull out of your pocket. One issue I have had in the past with cases are their fitment with a tempered glass screen protector, but paired with Intelliglass hd it fits perfectly!
One big improvement this case has compared to the Spigen case are the tactile feel of the volume and power buttons. They are very responsive and can easily differentiate between the volume buttons and power button. All of the cutouts fit precisely (including camera and laser autofocus) and there is no interference with headphone jack or USB type C cable. The fingerprint scanner is easily accessible as well, which was a concern of mine by adding a case.
The only complaint that I have with this case is the location of the branding. The P is right in the middle on the back of the case which is right over the Nexus logo. This is not a big concern for me, but its a minor one.
Overall this case has added a tremendous amount of grip without adding to the overall bulk of the phone. I have not had any drops while using this case so I cannot comment on the protection, but it seems it would protect against minor to moderate falls. I can honestly recommend this case to anyone looking to increase the grip without adding much bulk to the phone.
I got this case also. I kind of like it more than my spigen a little

I feel the same way. Ever since I received this case I haven't felt the urge to switch back to the Spigen.

+1 to this.
I also bought the Spigen first but wanted a more transparent case that wasn't black since I did order the Crystal White for a reason.
It's very nice. I've had quite a few co-workers buy it once they saw mine. All in all worth the money.

TUDIA OMNIX Case - Review!

I picked up the red version of this case on Amazon to check out, I paid for it myself so of course my reviews when to be honest. Lol
I have to say this is one of the best cases I've gotten so far for the Nexus 6P, it's not perfect, but it's damn good.
The case is almost the exact same size as the unicorn beetle case and almost fits in the holster from it. The sides are a tiny bit wider but if you have big hands like I do it's perfectly easy to hold.
The back is actually nicely finished although it is quite the fingerprint magnet on the red portion I've got.
The kickstand can be a little finicky but actually works well in either landscape orientation. There is no magnet in this kickstand so you won't have any problems there.
Some people in the reviews on Amazon were complaining about some sharp plastic or sprue on this case but mine is fantastic.
As you can see in the pictures of the built in screen protector (that sucks) pops out super easy, only one I've ever been able to get out without tearing.
The port covers work perfectly and best of all the buttons are absolutely fantastic and labeled. No mushy feeling, nice and clicky. The fingerprint reader recess also works great.
I have the phone with a tempered glass screen protector and also perfectly fine. No rattling, no moving, just great.
It goes together the same way as the unicorn beetle does, you put it into a frame and then the frame into the case. On this one the frame doesn't grab onto the phone so it can be a little difficult to get it into the outer case but I've managed to do it rather easily.
USB cables fit just fine in there and I would use this as my new daily case if it fit in any of my holsters which it does not. I'm now going to start looking for a leather or nylon holster to slip it into.
If you have small hands this case won't be fantastic because you'll only be gripping the slippery part. A little bit of texture would make it perfect and if you had a media blaster or take some time with some sandpaper you could turn this into that easily. The backplate pops off easily for all of you that want to put a metal plate behind it for your mounts.
I usually love the unicorn beetle cases and that's what I am rocking on my Nexus right now but the buttons are just way too mushy on there. I would give the unicorn beetle 7 out of 10 red zman points and I would give this case being reviewed 9 out of 10.
