[APP][4.3+] InstaWide - Post wide images on Instagram - Android Apps and Games

Recently, Instagram rolled out new feature. By using this new feature, you can post up to 10 photos (or videos) in a post. Just like an album.
InstaWide helps you to divide and crop your wide or panorama photos. Then you can post them to Instagram as an album instead of posting them with white spaces around.

Nope!

Excellent!
Just one downside: It is kind of hard to find a picture that is not a recent one. Maybe a good way to solve it is to adding a "share to... InstaWide" that would allow to select the pic to be edited from another app like the stock gallery, the file browser, whatsapp... making it easier.
Thanks! great idea and well accomplished. Regards!

Bug found
I wanted 4 squares from a 7798x1764 which result in 4x1949x1764 that are not squares. It is interesting that the app full this gap with solid colour pixels. Moreover the bug includes not alignment of the resulting frames add can be seen on the attached screenshot.
Regards!

The alignment problem still present using three squares what should not have the gaps. Screencast of the process: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ex647b0176urz1b/v.mp4?dl=0

Sent. I added a second pic that was well processed the second time of 5 tries so I think is not the the main idea of the algorithm you used just maybe a buggy line or something random or even my phone (new Honor 8).

Could you add feature to select from a gallery app. Some pictures are buried away and scrolling takes too much time.
Sent from my Lenovo X3a40 using XDA Labs

For me it is not a useful application. When you select "square" option, crop the image in square format and cut the original too much both above and below and is supposed to be the ideal format for instagram. Of course, if you select "rectangle", it will be Instagram who will take care of trimming, with which we are in the same as in the beginning.
Could not that be solved?
Thank you very much. Regards

I'll add PNG support soon.
Feedback is welcome!
PNG support added!
Image search path is now configurable via settings, please rate it!
Looks good! What does the 'optimise' option do exactly?
does this compress the file cause compressing can degrade the image right?

how much we do lost of the original quality in compression? what's the compression ratio?
Congrats. You are on XDA front page!

Very nice.
Would be nice to have the following feature set;
1. Preview of Before & After.
2. Set a different output folder/name, not touching the originals until.
3. Send/Share output - take the original and optimize it before sharing it in email/bluetooth/facebook...
Also time stamp is quite a big issue.
If you can't preserve modified file, make sure that you keep the EXIF fields so that it could be fixed according to that.
downloading now,
it awesome
Dude its awesome, I have been wishing for this for years but haven't had the knowledge to do it myself.
Great work, five star and thanks on you!

Great app! I'll rate with 5 *****
I have been longing for an app like this.
Awesome bro appreciate the effort that went into this!
'Been waiting for a PNG optimizer on Android forever. Thank you, works perfectly.
Hi
The (only) use I see is to optimize images in the internal memory, such app's graphic elements.
Are we sure that shrinking a png won't break its readability?

Sure that EXIF data is kept, otherwise you will have some photos rotated by 90 degree

Hi,
the PNG optimization is always lossless, no quality loss at all.
Just if you set an high compression level it's EXTREMELY SLOW, like 30 seconds for every picture.
Here there is a preview of the next update: send images to Image Optimizer from the Gallery:

[APP][4.0+] Pic Perfect: Compare, manage, and share your best photos!

Hi everyone, and happy new year!
I think many of you would find useful the app I have just developed and published:
Pic Perfect helps you find the best image out of a set you choose by showing you two at a time, side by side, and then giving you options to copy/move/delete/share them.
With it, you no longer have to flip back and forth between images in your gallery to pick the best photo for an album cover or to post on Facebook/Instagram/etc. And it's even more ideal for burst mode, since it will disregard pictures it can guess you don't want. For example, given 30 images, if you like Image 10 better than Image 20 then it won't show you Images 21-30. (But you can always choose not to use that feature if you don't want it).
Let me know what you think!
UPDATE 1/12/14: I added apk for direct download. Find it below. Thanks!

Really couldn't ask for more, this app; simple and easy to use. A really good application and does what it is supposed to..and well.
To the developers at SAA, you deserve it.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! Please be sure to rate it 5 stars, if you would be so kind.
Added .apk for direct download. Thanks for checking it out!
Edit: I figured out how to add it in original post, so I removed the apk from this comment.
A quick update for everyone: I just implemented zoom functionality on the Compare screen. Check it out and let me know what you think!

I have reworked the zoom functionality so it should be much smoother now. There shouldn't be any more problems with large (13MP) photos anymore.
Hi all, I've made some more improvements to the app. Check out Pic Perfect v1.1.2, and please rate it five stars if you like it!

I've just released a big update that should make the app much easier to use. Check it out!

[APP][4.0+] Smiley Camera

Market Link:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.studio9ja.smileycamera
A picture is worth a thousand words. A picture with a Caption + Icon/Smiley is probably worth 10,000 .
This is why we made Smiley Camera, so as to make it super easy for people to better express themselves and tell a story with their photos.
The app comes with Material Design and contains over 500 icons and Smileys.

Font option. Perhaps.
Is it possible to save pictures without sending them?
Congratulation for your work, BTW! Fantastic App!!!
Cool concept! Really loved it but then i have a small issue that when a image is selected, the image is kinda zoomed or focused right to the center of the image! Can you incorporate a cropping of the selected image feature!
All the very best! Im sure your application will be loved by all

I like the concept.
+1 for saving the picture before sending/share it.
Hi @donniemceduns, I really love this app. But.....is this devolopment stopped ? I hope it's not. :fingers-crossed:
Anyway, I just noticed something, some of the emoji & stickers are blur, some are crystal clear. Could you please fix it so that all the emojis & icons are crystal clear just like HD.
For example: ( these are the clear ones )
And these are the blur ones.
Last but not least, can I have a suggestion ? I think you and your team should make a "resize & move & rotate" feature to this app when we are picking our photo. This is because I used to pick photo from my gallery, but every time my photo didn't insert in correctly, sometimes it's too big for it, and sometimes it's placed horizontally which means I can't rotate it. Hence, I can't use this app to edit my photo.
Hope that you look into my suggestion and comments. Really appreciate you work. Looking forward to your updates. Thank you.

[APP][5.0+] Photo Pinner - Pin photos to prevent people viewing your whole library

In Android 5.0, Screen Pinning was added. It can pin apps, great
But it can't pin single photos.
How many times have you tried to show someone one of your photos, only to have them go through your whole album?
Photo Pinner solved that
Simply select a photo in your favourite gallery app, share it to Photo Pinner and press the pin button. Android will take care of the rest - you can even make it go to the lockscreen before unpinning!
Photo Pinner is totally free, free from ads, has a tiny file size and needs no permissions
It also supports basic pinch zoom features, and views in fullscreen

Yes, it's not a backport
Looking forward to this, Quinn!
Is there a way to hide the "help"? I don't need people to know how to exit the pin app. Now that I know, I know.
Otherwise, an app I didn't know I had a use for, but now think will be valuable. Thanks!
