I was trying to follow the instructions in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g5/development/jan-17-2017-20c-deodexed-kernels-t3539611
Every time I tried to reboot, I just went back to TWRP. From some googling I got it in my head to try a different /system format. While doing so, my phone froze. Being impatient, I pulled the battery after ~30 minutes of no progress. Now I'm here: no recovery, and a gimped fastboot. Yes, I'm an idiot, but please help.

I would use LG Bridge to get you back to a good working condition, and start over with root.

LG Bridge would definitely be the way to go. You have to start the phone in d/l mode. If you don't know how to get to download mode, it's very easy. WIth the power turned OFF, hold volume up and plug in the usb cable. Next run lg bridge and click on the 'refurbish' button and GO! Good luck bro...

Hi All,
I've been reading this forum for a good few days now as I am trying to get my Kyros functioning the way I need it to. However, I've run into a few problems and am not 100% sure as to what to do. Before I go on, I'm not very techy, so I would be very greatful if replies could be as straight forward as possible, without much jargon as that really loses me
First off, we've just managed to install the windows and ADB drives. I'm following all the instructions from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858952. That took some hacks our side, but is now working.
I'm pretty stuck on the clockwork reboot though. Again, followed the instructions from the link above. When it initially rebooted, it went straight into the Android System Recovery mode (the robot with the triangle opening screen.) I've tried it over and over, following the directions exactly as explained in the link, but all I'm getting is the generic Androis system recov.
The Recovery zip file is on my SD card. Do I need to unzip it to get the recovery.img to show? Is that something that I'm doing wrong? I also updated the OS (I guess) from the coby site before I started working on these other changes.
So basically, this is the issue right now. Trying to get the clockwork to run and all I'm getting is the android system...and that's when it doesn't just reboot back to the home screen directly.
Any advice would be great. Thanks
And out of the blue, after an hour of angry TV watching, it's now worked. I can't tell you what I did differently as I followed all the same steps as before. Must just have been lucky I guess.
I am having the same issue, and i tried to unzip the update.zip but i boot back to the recovery mode, can someone assist me with this, i have a galaxy s (Vibrant).
thanks
Try going to your sd folder and delete the clockwork recovery folder then uninstall rom manager and redownload it from the market after it installs open up rom manager and click on flash clockworkmod recovery and let it download the update.zip file and your done

Oh yeah after all those steps and you still get back into the stock recovery system click on reinstall package and it should boot into cwm I hope that helps

Hey guys,
My phone offered me the upgrade to Lollipop which I mistakenly accepted.
After a week I began to despise the changes and "features" and decided to go back to what had come with the phone originally.
In my haste to return my phone to it's former glory I followed this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
I didn't get far, see the error message below :

After looking at other guides, including this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...rick-hard-bricked-moto-g-2nd-gen-5-0-t2966010 I've now hit a dead end.
When I plug my phone into my computer in Device Manager it's listed as "Android Device -> Motorola ADB Interface" so I'm not seeing "qhsusb_bulk" that's specified in that unbrick guide. Perhaps it's not as bad as I think it is?
My phone is currently sitting in bootloader mode and I'm hoping someone can suggest something I can try to resolve this, even if it means going back to lollipop.
Thanks in advance.

I have successfully changed images on this tablet, but now after 2 year not fiddling wit it i wanted to quickly change the image again.
Sadly i did not do my research well and fortunately did something completely wrong resulting in this stuck device.
what i did was
Installation:
Make sure you have a JB bootloader (and not ICS)
flash it with flashify from play store or via fastboot using following command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-cwm-shreps-6.0.5.0-a510.img
Except i did not notice that i had ICS Bootloader.
When i press power and vol-down i get the following message.

Anyone any idea how to get life back in to the tablet?
If i hook it up to the computer i see that is is connected but can't do anything with it.
A lot of views, sadly no solution.
I was afraid of this.
So i can throw it in the trash.
I'm in the same boat 4stimpy. Let me know if you find a solution.

I can't see your image. Could you provide a link. Does it just have the bootloader details?
I have tried numerous times to get it back to life.
The thing is that windows does make the sound that it connects.
It does show up the device manager. But not as a disk or something.
When i do adb devices at first i did not get any result.
After installing a different usb driver i do get a listed device but it states off line.
That is where i am at right now.
Maybe someone can give some advice after this info.

I have the same problem. anyone got an idea?
Hi,
I never saw this problem
My phone is unlocked (since a year more or less) and I can't install TWRP nor CWM. I tried many tutorials such as all the root methods listed on XDA for this smartphone.

There might be a problem with your drivers. You can try uninstalling and reinstalling them. Also, try using fastboot commands manually

unlock again
Thank you. I'd like not to have to relock it as it's already done and rooted. Could you please tell me what drivers to install? I tested many of them (https://i.imgur.com/wBgsezr.png) but it seems I don't have the right ones then.
I'm using Win7 64bits.
Thanks again!
Use adbdriveinstaler and when it's install you can push recovery to add folder and try this command
cd C:/adb
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Change name your twrp or cwm to recovery

Okay. Here we go
ADB driver installed (https://i.imgur.com/PWrZoHH.png)
Went to flash and... still not allowed.
And in fastboot/rescue mode on my phone it's written PHONE Unlocked.
WTF
BTW, is there any other way to upgrade the phone? Cause every time I go to the software update in the menu i'm told it's up-to-date, but it's not... Android 4.4.2 & EMUI 3.0.
I read about a "local update" but can't find out how to update from the SDcard, I only have OTA.

Okay, I sent an email to Huawei, I'll get back in a few days.
Hello everybody!
Yesterday, on 28 of December, I had a massage on my BV4900 pro that a systemupdate is now ready to be installed.
After download of 2,48 GB file the installation went on, the phone started in the next step. On the screen was this white circle and the installation-progress was shown under. After the update was completted, the phone didnt start. The screen ist black. I cannot do anything with it. I tried to flash the firmware or at least the preloader with sp-flash-tool, but cannot. The connection to sp-flash-tool is with 100% but then I see under device-manager is "Media Tek PreLoader USB VCOM (Android)". So the flash-tool does not flash. I tried with volume buttons to stop the battery-loading, but withou sussess. What can I try more to save the phone?
Some more informations: The red LED ist on, when the phone ist connected to pc or power-supply. The phone was rooted. The last android version: 12
And maybe this picture will help:

Just a Hint:
Do not flash preloader! preloader is responsible for preloader mode (which used by SP Flash Tool)
Do not use "Format all + Download" option. Formatting whole emmc will brick device.

Yes, I did it already. Nothing helps.
I spend the second day with this problem and do not come forward.
you already tried another cable and another PC? then probably usb jack is faulty. you shouldn't flash anything via usb then!
I am not the one who told you - you could try other flash tools. do not flash, just try to read back for now...

Somebody else, who maybe has an idea?
I found this discription of the error:
The phone seems always be on. With power button I can only "restart" it. How can I shut it down?
Is there a tool I can use for switch the phone off?
Or maybe cmd-command for shutting down the device on com-port? I cannot find anything in internet. Only with adb. But I have no connection to adb, the phone is over adb not rearchable.
Maybe someone can show me the test point for this smartphone?
