LG Stylo (LGMS631) (MetroPCS) 6.0 root help - XDA Assist

Hello, so I have tried following this guide and I am currently at part 8, but my phone is not rooted. In my notifications tab, I have SuperSU Installer telling me to Tap to Install SuperSU and root my device, however I don't know if I'm supposed to as the guide I'm following says that after I reboot I should be rooted.
Thanks.

Hi !
you may have missed this step in red letters " If TWRP gives you a warning about the su binaries missing and asks if you want to install thee su binaries before you reboot SELECT NO or it will interfere with the rooting process of the SuperSU.zip."
Try again
Also you may ask in the thread as well
Good luck !

[Q] HTC One X root (SuperSU ?)

Hello I recently followed the instructions on the forums for the HTX one X(US) 1.85 one click root. After following the screen i was met with the root was successful text in the command prompt, cool. After the phone rebooted i checked to see if the SuperSU icon was there and it was but when i click it it says "There is no SU binary installed, and SUperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
Did i screw something up when i tried to root?
This is why I don't prefer a tool to do my job..I like manual better..

[Solved] Impossible to root A700

Hello,
I have some problems to root my A700.
First, I have tried to root with this method : unlock bootloader (it's ok), flash cmw recovery (it's ok), update with the zip to get root and it fail. In fact, the update work, the tablet reboot, i have the superuser. But when i try to put an application who want the root (for example titanium), this application say me "your tablet is noot rooted".
After, I've tried with easyroot. I follow the steps and the tablet reboot. But I have the same problem with the first method : superuser is here but when I try to install and launch an application who want root, this application don't work and say me my tablet is not rooted.
Can you help me please ?
PS : I have enabled USB debug when I try to root.

this worked fine for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953917
make sure you have the latest update !
after SuperSu is installed, run it, update the SU file.
if it doesn't ask for it, go to options, uninstall the su file and reinstall it.
If there is no error your tablet should be rooted correctly.
otherwise install IconiaN 2.2.
Hello,
Yes my tablet is updated. When i launch su, it fail to update. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, it fail...

Been away for a while now so can't vouch if there is a custom ROM available at this moment for your specific K2 variant. However, rooting is very possible. Simply unlocking your bootloader and booting up TWRP recovery is enough to do the job since TWRP will root the device for you. TWRP will or should detect if the device is rooted or not. If it is not then when you select to reboot your system it should ask if you would like to install SuperSU or in lamen terms, to root your device. Obviously you will say yes at this point. When the device reboots then go to the play store to update SuperSU. Once it is updated open the SuperSU app so it can update the su binary. It will ask to update the su binary either normally (by writing to your system with write permissions) or via twrp\cwm. To select the normal option you must either be S-Off or have a custom kernel specific to your K2 variant which has write protection removed. Otherwise, you must select the twrp\cwm method where it will reboot back to the custom recovery and make the change from there. Once the su binary is successfully updated then you are now properly rooted. Do not EVER flash a custom ROM unless the ROM Developer states that it is compatible for your device.

[Completed] Can't install SU binary after update manual OTA update on OnePlus 2. Please Help!

Phone: OnePlus 2
OxygenOS: 2.1.2
I had rooted and decided to update from OxygenOS 2.1.1 to 2.1.2. I flashed the .zips OTA. When the phone rebooted completely, I check for root, but I had not root installed. I went to SuperSU and there it said that "SU binary is not installed and SuperSU can't install it." it also said that I would have to manually re-root the device. I tried to manually install the UPDATE-....zip file of SuperSU through TWRP but the problem was not solved. What to do!!!???
Please help me on this. I have checked multiple threads but not a single have helped to solve my problem. Help please!!!
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
If your ROM is a lollipop ROM, have you looked in developer settings and made sure that root access is set to apps and adb?

You already have an existing thread on this problem, and were told what needs to be done and where to go to get that information and additional assistance... Why are you not using the resources that were given to you previously? There is no magic fix, something was done incorrectly or you are using the incorrect files.
The answer and all support you will need are in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/guide-how-to-root-moto-g-2015-model-t3448572

So you fastboot flashed the ROM and verified it booted successfully (an initial boot is essential prior to rooting, it sets up the RAM disk and other boot image things the first time), rebooted, flashed TWRP (3.0+) and backed up, did the echo command and flashed SuperSU 2.78 SR1 and it still failed?
Flash the 2.62-3 beta of SuperSU https://download.chainfire.eu/751/SuperSU/ it forces systemless install regardless of detected options. You can update normally in the Play Store, then update the binary in the app.
One of those two methods will work, if it doesn't then you have something more going on then meets the eye or there is a piece of information you are not giving us. This is a tested and working process on every single known Moto G 2015 variant.
BTW, clearing cache and dalvik is not required when rooting, you are just increasing the time it takes to boot for no reason.
