Oneplus one HELP problem - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I have a problem in my oneplus one 64gb
Model: A0001
CyanogenMOd: 11.0-XNPH38R
Android: 4.4.4
If a start the phone i went to the system well , can take photos and use normal, but if i try to erase to factory reset, he reboots and show the initial logo but after 10 seconds the phone starts to fade out red and green pixels shows and in the end starts to become blue and all went black, but the light stills on.
I have to reboot again to go to normal mode.
if i try volume up and power it show the fastboot mode logo, but if i try volume down and power only show the login logo and start´s again to fade out the screen .
So i think i don´t have recovery mode. I don´t now what i did but i need help , because it´s my first time with android.
i try to use oneplus one toolkit and oneplus one oxygen kit but if i do a unlock bootloader it goes to the fade out screen and i can´t do nothing.
can anyone help

Just boot into fastboot and use this guide,
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2788632
Don't use any toolkits.
Unlock your bootloader and flash latest stock Cos13.1x

The problem in the one plus is when put in fastboot, i do in the terminal the fastboot oem unlock , but when he boot up everytime he don´t pass the start logo and the screen went black and in the terminal show waiting for device. and i can only turn of the device and reboot but i lost the unlock process.
so i can´t have the one plus unlock to flash a recovery or flash a new firmware

Did you install Adb/fastboot drivers before?
As it is waiting for device, the command isn't actually executing yet due to not able to detect the device, lack of drivers maybe?
The device auto-reboots itself or you detach it and try to reboot? You can stay in fastboot mode as long as you want?

1- If i turn on my phone normal, it goes to the menu screen normal as a normal phone, i can make calls and the rest.
2- If i turn on the phone with volume up and power, it went to fastboot mode, here i can go to the cmd command write fastboot devices, and it show devices "agfsagf". and i can stay there normal.
i try to write fastboot oem devices-info: and show : (bootloader) device tampered: true ; device unlock : false ; charger screenenable : false
3- if i turn on the one plus in volume down and power, it turns on but stay´s i the one plus logo and after 5 seconds the screen starts to show some pixels in another color and the logo start to become blue and fade out to black, and the phone stays there black but i see the black light on.
So i now i have bootloader lock, and root lock , and no recovery.
The main problem is , when i write fastboot oem unlock or another command that reboots my phone to recovery, it goes to the black screen and i can´t do nothing.
sorry if i i not explain in a good way

Okay got it....
Can be a hardware problem but here's what you can try,
*Download Kingroot or Kingoroot, just google it.
*Try to root your device with it,making sure you've a powerful net connection,it should work as I've tried this myself and it worked fine for me.It needs a few(or many) tries to go.
P.s.- Yes,root is possible without unlocking boot loader.
*After that,if you're rooted successfully, you should see Kinguser in app drawer.
*After making sure you're rooted, just download Terminal App from Playstore and there after granting root rights with KingUser app, write "fastboot oem unlock" ,if everything is fine it should work and voila!
Moreover, what's your battery condition? Does it work fine normally?

Man you're messed up pretty bad.
You're receiving OTA's or not?
Because I remember getting em' a few months back when I was on Cm11s.

[GUIDE] How to recover from OnePlus soft bricked?

I decided to write a guide on how to recover from a bricked OnePlus One. This is my first guide.
About me: I am a newbie on Android. However, the XDA community has taught me a lot about my Android phone for the first month of using it. That's right! I have only been using Android for less than one month so take this guide with a grain of salt. But if you happen to soft brick your One, this is the guide to turn to. I have created two mind-bending/heartbreaking/frightening scenarios that I have experienced. Though, resolved thanks to this community.
Note: This will wipe your phone!
Scenario 1:
Soft bricked, (CM gear keeps spinning but won't boot to lock screen)
Scenario 2: Updated kernel on a non-compatible firmware.
Soft bricked, screen on 1+ logo and won't boot to lock screen.
Solution:
1. Download the toolbox from: (Make sure you download your version)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/toolbox-oneplus-one-toolbox-t2808987
2. Install the file.
3. Disconnect your OnePlus One from computer and power off your phone.
4. Go into Fastboot Mode (Volume Up + Power button) wait on vibrate
5. Plug in your OnePlus One.
6. Locate and open the OPO Toolbox.
7. Click Flash CM XNPH22R.
8. You should see command prompt open, just wait until it finishes doing it's thing.
9. Unplug and power off your phone.
10. Power ON your phone and wait until it prompts you re-setup your phone.
Congrats you have just fixed your phone from a soft brick. Simply follow the video from the link provided on step 1 to re-root your phone.
Note: If you have unlocked your bootloader, you do not need to unlock it again.
How to find out if you have unlocked bootloader:
1. Locate the folder where you installed the OPO Toolbox.
2. Hold Shift and right click on ANY white area within the folder.
3. Left click 'Open command window here'
4. Type:
fastboot oem device-info
If it returns True on tampered. Then you have unlocked your bootloader.
I hope this guide helps solve your soft-bricked problem. Good luck!

I did an ota update and it went in to a boot-loop, so I went into fast-boot and accidentally locked the boot-loader.
I think I have to try to hard-brick it and try the hard-brick solution with the qualcom drivers.

Then first you need to unlock the bootloader via fastboot, but that action erases all data. I assume,if you modified the boot via fastboot, USB DEBUGGING is working,so after try to do the softbrick tutorial of the thread.

how do i know which tool box version is mine ?
---------- Post added at 07:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:26 PM ----------
i tried the fastboot method, i successfully run alll the commands but still stuck in the bootloop.
i even tried adb, but i cant go into recovery mode for my computer to detect it. The weird thing is i can easily go into the fastboot mode but for some reason i can go into recovery mode. i tried turning of the phone by holding power button too long and then vol down + power button, still no luck, now im stuck with 2 options,
1. the toolkit solution
2. the qualcom thingy. It's been two days without my opo, and i feel so lost ! PLS if anyone sees my comments plss respond to me PLS! i willl forever be grateful to you!

I'm facing the exact same issue on my OPO.
>> bootloader locked
>> no recovery
>> impossible to unlock the bootloader
>> OPO stuck at 1+ logo and keep rebooting agin and again and again...
....i think my OPO is dead T_T
Is it a way to force the bootloader unlock ?
Please HELP !!!
Didn't work for me
I'll give the background first as it might help. I long while back I did a manual upgrade to CM12s using the guide in this video "How to Install CM12S on OnePlus One - No Root or TWRP Required, No Data LOSS" from the oneplus exclusive Youtube channel.
It worked great no problems.
I recently I got the OTA update to CM13. There were several features I didn't like so I decided to go back. I repeated the process shown in the video but now my phone gets stuck on the CM logo screen and won't go past. I tried again but the same result. Then (I can see heads shaking, sorry) I tried a factory reset from the recovery screen, still the same goes past the 1+ logo but gets stuck at the CM logo. Then I found this guide, downloaded the toolbox but when I try to plash it says "fastboot is not recognized as an internal or external command.
Any ideas?
Found a link on one of the threads here that said a guide on Reddit was useful, that didn't work as well. I am trying.
All done

[Q] RUU failed, stuck in HTC 4 ! screen

I was on Digitalhigh GPE with the Elite Kernel and the Verizon firmware offered on their thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2716306) and my power button wasn't working. Pressing it wouldn't turn the screen on/off and holding it wouldn't access the power menu. Holding it to restart/hboot would work so the power button was obviously not broken and I decided to just reset everything. After a failed ruu, my phone keeps switching between the ruu screen (pic attached) and the htc 4 ! screen. I tried the exe ruu (http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...zip-ruu-m8vzw-5-0-1-s-off-onlynewest-t3047103) but it didnt work because the phone just keeps rebooting itself into the htc 4 ! screen. I don't have extensive experience with adb/fastboot commands, but tried flashing both the L hboot and RUU offered in that thread and got the "error: cannot load" response. Everything was backed up before I ruu'ed but my google/xda searches havent gotten me anywhere.

Pay attention to the thread... He makes a statement about this issue there.
To flash, put it into the fastboot folder (which should be the platform-tools folder within the Android SDK) and open a command window there. Use the command 'fastboot flash zip nameoffile.zip. It should work. Until it can successfully flash, you are boned.
If this doesn't work, I have one more method you can try.

Retried that and it failed again. After doing another oem reboot command (which I did idk how many times during the process), the phone randomly got passed the ruu screens, into the white htc boot screen with red text, started up and seems to be working fine. After work I'm going to retry the ruu via the exe this time
Edit: Now it seems that my motion launch, auto-rotate, and proximity sensors aren't working so the only way I can use it at work is to plug/unplug the usb to turn the screen on.

From the looks of your screen shot you ended up there because certain partitions failed to flash. That' the protect mode your phone will go into in the case of even a partial failure on flash. You need to reflash the entire RUU again and not "force" it past that screen. INVALID DSP info is NOT A good thing to see.
Personally I would flash the RUU in fastboot RUU mode using the htc_fastboot I have posted.....

Finally had some time to sit down and try this. Basically not sure what to do because the phone always reboots before the flashing process is done for the 0P6BIMG.zip sd and ruu mode methods. Same with just entering hboot, sits for 7 seconds max then reboots

Edit: Also - just for an extra description of the situation - when I got to work after trying to reflash this afternoon, I noticed my power button started working again. Data/wifi still work fine, but music (cant play anything), motion launch, auto screen rotation, audio or video (youtube, websites, gallery, etc) are still not functional and occasionally the entire ui will disappear and freeze for a few seconds.
Haven't been able to flash any fixes. After using my m8 more, I've also seen that the calls and anything voice related are also down and the phone freezes up quite a bit, plenty of FC's.

Install teamviewer and pm me the id and passcode. Make sure you have stuff backed up off your internal sd card first. We will get this straightened out.

So I finally had time and installed team viewer today and when I booted to start backing up everything, the phone didnt automatically restart itself in hboot this time (over the past couple days I've been having barely any FC's or hang ups) so I tried the ruu you posted again and it finished. First time, it hung on the Verizon logo after boot, I ruu'd again and it fully booted, when the android app optimizing was finished, it gave me the acore force close, did a factory reset and everything (autorotation, music, power button, etc) is back to Verizon stock and working with no force closes/problems so far. Thanks for your files/help, dottat :good:

Help me fix a bricked OPO :(

Phone memory was almost totally full and my sister was still shooting videos on it.
During one shoot the phone turned off and I can't turn it back on again.
Here is my problem, the phone just doesn't boot.
Shows only first screen with 1+ logo and then reboots. Not even the system boot animation.
When I try to enter recovery mode it shows TWRP screen and then reboots again. So I can't even access recovery.
And when I try to enter Fastboot Mode it turns on but the PC won't see it in adb.
What are my options here?
try charging the phone for a few hours

hi you need to follow this guide :https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-unbrick-oneplus-one-t3013732
Hi.
Firstly, you have recovery installed, so that is good.
Some things for you to try:
Can you hold down the power button for longer than 10 seconds. This will clear temporary memory and hard reboot.Press power button & volume 'down' button until you enter TWRP.
Try this firstly.
Can you access ADB at all?
15 second ADB drivers should work.
What Operating system is on your Computer?
TWRP should pop up & be accessible
If you have Windows 10 on. If it doesn't recognize your phone you will have to run an update for Media Center for Windows 10 (64 bit...I'm assuming its not 32bit).
TWRP should be read by your computer if you can access it as it contains the drivers inbuilt.
If it still is inaccessible you might have to flash TWRP again through fastboot mode using ADB.

Yes, I have TWRP installed, but cant access it. Shows the TWRP splash screen and then reboots after like 10 seconds or so.
ADB does not see device. Only shows the device during that 10 second TWRP splash screen time, but even then no commands are effective and it just reboots.
Already tried holding down power button for few seconds. No luck.
I already installed all the possible drivers and media feature packs on my Windows 10. Still no luck.
And yes, I am running latest Windows 10 Pro x64.
And no, since I cant access Fastboot, I can not re-flash TWRP either.

Gonna try that right now. Hopefully that will fix it.
Daaaamn I really frankensteined the sh*t out of this one
I tried that Color OS unbrick method but it did not work. I mean the process itself worked, but the phone would not boot past the logo.
So I grabbed the system.img from old CM13 image, grabbed 2016 modem.img, then placed twrp.img instead of CM recovery and pressed START.
AAAAAND IT WORKED!!! The phone is alive!!!
Now I am in TWRP and I'm going to flash a new ROM. Hopefully everything will go perfectly.
Thanks a lot for your help @kallum7
EDIT: Flashed new ROM. Everything went just fine.

Thanks, but I already fixed it.
i had it in the past for some reason too. Managed to fix it using the color os method. Carefully followed the steps until i could flash again. That was a year ago tohugh. There should be some thread around wit some all-in-one solution against bricks.

Phone won't turn on, no system

I have a xiaomi redmi note 7 pro from china and I was planning on rooting it and changing the rom. Anyways I unlocked boot loader and installed twrp but couldn't install the rom using twrp recovery mode. Then I followed a video which rebooted the phone into recovery mode again after clearing some things. However, before rebooting it says no OS but the video did it anyways. In the video the phone rebooted back into recovery mode fine, but my phone does not boot. It constantly boots up to the redmi logo, flashes and boots again into redmi logo. This continues forever. I can, however, at this point enter fast boot. I thought the problem must be I have no rom so I just need to flash a rom. Using mi flash tool didn't work there was always some error and I turned the phone off. After turning the phone off, I cannot turn it back on again!!! Nothing, not holding power, not holding power + volume, just pure blank can't boot at all. I really don't know wtf I can do know it just doesn't turn on at all no matter what. Please help guys.

1. Never boot into the system when there is a 'no OS' warning.
2. Use this TWRP next time (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-7-pro/development/unofficial-twrp-3-3-1-proper-t3933531)
Does the phone charge or get detected by the computer when connected via USB?
If MiFlash doesn't seem to work try using ADB to Fastboot the ROM
If all hope is lost, the service centres can fix it.

when connected it is detected as qualcom 9008. I searched I think the phone is hardbricked, so can't enter fastboot. I think it can turn on and off. After holding power for 15 seconds, the usb is no longer detected. I could do the same to turn it back on. Do you know a service centre in Toronto?

Yes it's hardbricked for sure! But are you sure MiFlash doesn't detect it?
If so any good service centre around you should be able to fix it, it's something to do with the software so they won't need Mi authorised parts...

Mi flash detects it as COM10 or COM20 depending on which USB. But when I flash I get error like no hello packet. Also I am not sure if I am suppose to put prog emmc sdm660 in the images folder or not.

Ok so Hello Packet errors are caused due to corrupted files or also if your flashing is interrupted in the middle
Try:
1. Making sure your PC isn't 32 bit
2. Draining out the phone battery and try again
3. Disabling driver signature enforcement(https://www.androidfoot.com/2016/08/how-to-disable-driver-signature.html)
4. An older version of MiFlash
5. If all of the above don't work ,try using another PC
6. Also make sure the USB ports are in working condition ( I think yours is working tho)

My pc is 65 bit. I can't try #2 yet since it takes a while for battery to drain. I disabled driver signature enforce and using old mi flash and tried new pc still doesn't work. My boot loader is unlocked but maybe I accidently locked it? I don't know how to check.

Try this in ADB
(fastboot getvar all)
Without the brackets, now check for the unlocked line in the output and see if it shows yes or no
1. 64 eh, ok then no probs there
2. Oh ok take your time draining it
3. Try fastbooting the ROM via ADB see if that's works too

I had the same issue, but my phone went to fastboot from there I flashed it, the process was simple :
1. Download the fastboot rom and extract it (I guess two times, the first extraction extracts a file, open that with some extraction tool and uzip again, there you will see the fw with certain folders and images etc ).
2. Download the adb/fastboot zip file I"ll attach that here, extract it to the same folder where your fw files are. (fw = firmware).
3. You will find 3 bat files, flash all, flash all and lock, flash except storage, choose flash all (execute it).
4. Once done, reboot to recovery (stock), do a data wipe again.
This worked for me, hope it does for you too.

Bootloop and unable to access fastboot or recovery mode

welcome
I wanted to install twrp for xiaomi redmi 9 global version miui 12.5.1
These were the commands I used:
1 - fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.4.2B-0108.img
2 - fastboot flash misc misc.bin
3 - fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
4 - fastboot boot twrp-3.4.2B-0108.img
After that, the device restarted but MIUI did not start again. "Redmi" appears on the screen for a few seconds then restarts again and again.
And now comes the real problem and also the reason for this post...
I cannot access recovery or fastboot mode!
I can't even turn off the device.
I can't do anything but wait for the battery to run out.
If I hold Power + VolumeUp = It keeps rebooting
If I hold Power + VolumeDown = It keeps rebooting
If I only hold Power = It keeps rebooting
If I hold all of them it stops rebooting and keeps the black screen as if it's off, but when I stop holding, the bootloop starts again.
I don't know what to do, I hope any of you can help me.
Thanks for the attention.

Hello
Thanks for the quick reply
Please can you explain how this works?
It's typically done via ADB Sideload method - what of course requires USB Debugging got enabled on phone and you have the Stock ROM in .ZIP-file format on hand.

Sorry to bother you and thank you
But due to my lack of experience in the field, I was unable to find a detailed explanation of the ADB Sideload process that you told me about, could you please explain how this works Steps or send a link with details or a video, please Knowing that the phone does not appear on the computer due to its continuous restart all the time I am sorry again
That's another issue you report now,
My recommendation: Take phone to authorized service center and let them try to fix it.
I already took it to fix it but no result He told me that I have to replace the motherboard and this is wrong because my problem is a problem with the phone system
