Why is access to data usage restricted for these apps? - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

Something is chewing up more data than it should and upon looking at the cellular data usage screen, there's about 150 MB unaccounted for. I see that the usage from several apps shows restricted, and that's my concern. I have not used any of these apps in the past week so it's unjam if they are using sim much data, potentially in the background. Any insight into this would be helpful.

[Q] "Font service" using lots of traffic

Hello,
Using the TrafficStats Lite app, and enabling "show system apps", I see that "Font service" is using insane amounts of data traffic. I reset the counters a few hours ago, and it is already at 2.7MB. It is steady rising every few minutes. This is very strange:

Mysterious data usage

I am on at&t and was checking my data usage and noticed about 300 mb went to 'REMOVED APPS'. I have no idea what this is and it won't allow me to view any app info. The only thing I can think of is that I ran the 'make more space' under storage to clear some app cache. I don't have titanium backing anything up to cloud storage and don't have my google drive or anything set up. I am running cleanrom. Any ideas?

Android OS uses a lot of data

For some weeks Android OS uses a lot of data, I don't have active sync, sending anonymous data or social network app. Even changing ROM without gapps or firmware the problem persists.
Can anyone tell me how I can solve this?
In 3 days more than 100mb in background (3g & wi-fi).

If I'm right then bandwidth is the maximum amount of data transmitted over an Internet connection in a given amount of time, it's how much information you receive every second. It's measured in Mbps.
To monitor bandwidth usage on a per app basis then you might use
https://apkpure.com/network-monitor-mini/info.kfsoft.android.TrafficIndicator
