Random Apps Cannot Detect Root? - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

I am having an odd issue. I'm rooted and have been for a while. I've used Titanium Backup and Adaway on this ROM (PureNexus) before. But suddenly those two apps cannot detect root (meanwhile, L speed, Root Browser, Substratum, etc. all DO detect root and work fine). Anyone know what could be up or how to troubleshoot this? A reboot didn't help.

No one else is having this? I mean, I used Titanium Backup to get my apps ON this ROM I'm on... Now suddenly it (and Adaway) cannot detect root while all the rest can?? I just don't understand.
I've tried restarting, reinstalling TB, reinstalling SU. What gives?? I feel like I cannot switch ROMs until I figure this out and I wanted to try DU or Remix. I'm currently on PureNexus and Franco Kernel.

Help. Since flashing Serendipity, Titanium backup will not restore to other roms.

I've been using titanium backup for awhile without any problems. Recently I flashed Serendipity. Since then, I have tried flashing perception 9.5 and cog3. When batch install "all missing apps with data" with either of those roms, Only half the apps completely install, some have errors on launch and some don't have any of their data copied over. I tried redoing it with "migrate app data" check too. It still didn't work. I can restore back in a fresh serendipity install without any problems. I dont know what's going on. I have also tried going back to serendipity, restoring apps and then backing up with mybackup root. When I reinstall cog3, I get the exact same problem trying to restore with mybackup root.
Has anyone else come across this? Is there a fix
Have you tried clearing the cache of TiBU? Also do you have allow install of non market apps checked?
I'll have to try that next time. Isn't third party apps enabled by default on dg's roms. And wouldn't titanium backup not restore any of the apps if that was the problem?
I'm back on serendipity now because I need a working phone. I'll give it another shot tomorrow though.
Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Make sure usb debugging is enabled?
Make sure busy box installed?
Make sure no market apps are enabled?
I tried again and nothing I tried worked. I am not able restore my apps in cog 2b8 either. I have restored to that rom successfully many times in the past.
I am able to restore my apps in perception 10.1 however. It seems that restoring apps in 2.2.1 roms are not a problem, but 2.2 roms it won't work at all. This is a real problem for me since the modem on my phone only works properly on captivate roms.

[Q] Can i flash new rom after root loss

So,.... messing about as we do, trying to get an app to work that wont work on rooted device, I installed voodoo to temporarily hide my root and it seemed to work.
but now I cant regain root access. 1: Not sure if voodoo is the issue
2: tried all fixes that I could find on here and nothing working for me
Not really an issue at the mo and I'm sure theres a work around but as a quick fix / quick question
Can I just Flash a new custom rom while I no longer have root access?
I was going to try a different rom anyway. and don't mind losing data, apps etc
just need to know that I can flash without root and not going to get stuck somewhere
Cheers
You'll have to root again then flash.

You can flash everything if you have a Custom recovery Installed eg : CWM or TWRP, Because both has Root enabled by default, even if the Rom doesn't have Root that doesn't mean your recovery doesn't have root, If the rom only doesn't has Root, you Recvoery has.
That means you still can flash everything. (I recommend to use the lastest version if you have a old version)
no custom rom installed
i had rooted my phone but for clearing up internal memory i did a factory reset.
After that i noticed my wifi stopped working and i had sort if partial root(root explorer worked but titanium backup didnt).
In order to correct that i tried to manually update the su binary by replacing the original with the latest one.once i did that i lost root completely.
T_T now i am stuck up with a non root phone without wifi working.
I tried flashing it but that also requires root.
Any help will be appriciated

[Q] Root box issues with D850?

So last night I was using My Backup Pro to back up my files before I tried flashing the new CM for our phone and noticed that I didn't have busybox installed. I installed it and backed the phone up overnight. In the morning I noticed that my WiFi wouldn't turn on and that I couldn't flash anything. Ran root checker and my root is bad now. Anyone else experience any problems with rootbox? That and backing up my stuff are the only things I've done different lately. My phone is rooted with towelroot and bumped. I really don't feel like unrooting and returning back to stock to start the process over again but IDK how to fix the root. Root checker gives these error messages.....
Don't know much about the code, anyone have any suggestions?

What does SuperSU or Superuser state when opened? Have you updated the binary or is that even an option?
Everything was up to date when I checked last night and supersu was working fine. I ended up unrooting and reverting back to stock and starting from scratch.

Lost root permission

I have stock rom on my phone but had it rooted under 4.2.2.
Now i upgraded to 4.4.2 and something went wrong. The phone is still rooted and su is there but the root permission is gone.
I wonder now how i can get it back without reinstalling everything again.
So far, all programs i previously froze are still frozen which is great. But i can not use Titanium Backup at the moment since the permission is gone.
What would be the best route to go to fix this problem.
btw. i can not rooted it again since for example stump will tell me that its already rooted.

Snapchat??

I was rooted a couple weeks ago (NO exposed installed) and wasn't able to login to Snapchat, I went back to everything stock as I was having a few other problems. Now i'm wondering before I root again if this was just an occasional problem or if any time I root I'll be unable to log in
As far as i know it wont work when you have xposed installed without it works fine with root (atleast it did)

But I don't have exposed and it wasn't working
It doesn't work while rooted for me either. I went to stock, logged in , used Titanium Backup and re-rooted.
Is there any work around other than making a backup and insalling everytime I log off?
login snapchat on bluestack or nox(nox is better),make a titanium backup and move the backup files to your phone and restore it
