Wireless charging question - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5

I have this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01M0IL0QX?psc=1 (sorry. If links aren't allowed) and get "wireless charging paused" about every 10 or so seconds but when I turn off fast wireless charging it works flawlessly.
This is with my case which is a artech 21. I know it isn't the charger as it fast charges fine without the case.
Now the question is do these batteries use two separate charging coils or whatever for normal and fast charging?
If so I'm guessing the case is too thick for the fast charge coil?

I'ved tryed and the time for charging was the same as the "normal" wireless charger.

I bought the same one, it charges ok.. But nothing fancy..
I would only use one if you go through cords a lot.. It doesn't charge too fast.. But if your tired and don't want to fiddle with a cord or in my case I go through cords a lot for some reason.. It's nice to just put it down and forget it..
The downside to Wireless charging is over time the heat generated can actually damage your battery.. So better stick with the fast charger...
I bought a decent Samsung Knock off charger with the Samsung logo on it.. It works just as the OEM.. Lucky me..
The specs show it charges at 1A (1000mA), which is not fast at all.

The S6 can not fast charge wirelessly so there is no point in spending more money for a fast wireless charger. You can save your money and get a regular wireless charger.

i got a "knockoff" samsung wireless charger puck type and it doesn't charge fast because i didn't know that the s6 did not support fast charging wirelessly!
the only issue i had was every time the display went out the wireless charging would stop and wake the display then start charging.
fixed this with an app called dock station
I went for an Anker qi wireless charger and it is perfect. It's like a small hockey puck and works a treat! Under £10 as well [emoji106]?

Is is there a way to charge with qi and wired at the same time?

I have an s7 and I was curious if anyone knew whether you could use a qi wireless charger and wired charger on a s7 either with some sort of application or otherwise to effectively charge it from both sources simultaneously to boost charge speed and if anyone knew of a battery case that can be charged by qi wireless charging and can use qi wireless charging to charge the cellphone once it was disconnecTed from the wireless charger so that I don't have to plug my battery case into my s7 and can just keep the usb port free.
Just tried it. The phone uses whatever charging method was connected first. If it's on the wireless charger and you plug in a cord, it ignores the cord. If it's charging wired, and you set it on a charging pad, it ignores the pad.
Samsung makes a battery back that will charge the phone wirelessly. I haven't seen anything that indicates whether the back can be charged wirelessly or not. Reviews seem a bit mixed:

wireless charging question

I have long ignored wireless charging, because it's so much slower than wired fast-charging. I keep seeing mentions of the Note wireless charging capability, but I'm still unclear on whether wireless is now as fast? Doubt it, but am I wrong? Would especially love a fast wireless charging solution in the car, that was as fast as the fasted wired option. Does that exist yet? Or do I need to check again in 2-3 years?
Wireless charging is not as fast. Note9 also uses adaptive fast charging 2.0. Fast but not as fast as other standards. I would concern myself about fast charging only when needed. I use wireless charging exclusively at night to slow charge my battery. I think Samsung chose adaptive 2.0 to help with longevity of phone because fast charging does not help with longevity of battery. I am still pressuring companies to unseal the batteries. The environment is more important than being able to take a shower with your phone or not having to worry about dropping it in the toilet because you can't wait five minutes.
The appeal of wireless charging is so you didn't have to reach for a power cord to plug in your phone every time you wanted to charge it. I just upgraded to the Note 9 from my Note 4. When I had a new battery in it, wireless charging only took about 20 minutes longer than the cord. As the battery got older, it did seem to take longer with the wireless charging. For me, if I'm just at home, I use wireless charging. If I'm about to go out in the next 30 minutes for a while and the battery power is kinda low, I plug it in to get a fast full charge. Plugging in the phone all the time is a drag. You are missing out on a cool feature while wasting years waiting for something better. I keep a separate power cord next to my wireless charger. That way I can decide if I just want the phone to get charged using wireless, or if I need a fast quick charge with the cord. You aren't just stuck with wireless charging just because you bought one. A flat wireless charger is just $15 on Amazon. It works just as well as the $60 Duo charger from Samsung, although it does offer fast charging. Not worth that kind of money though. Plus it is big and takes up too much space.

The duo dock is 12W charging. The wired charging is 15W. As for in the car fast wireless docks. I have yet to see one.

I have one. Works well. Got it from Indiegogo, backed a project called the MAGQI X: The Smartest Wireless Car Charger Mount...
It charges faily well but I did find on my Note 8 it was only just holding power as I used GPS...Mind you, that could be caused by the case I had it in, my Note 9 seems to pick up the power pretty quick...
So, can the Note 9 handle the 12W wireless charge or is it limited to 10W? I see the comment above regarding the Duo Dock, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it supports it and I have not been able to find the exact spec on the matter elsewhere to confirm one way or another.

Question heat in case/ wireless charging

Hi.
Is there any notice of heat build up when wireless charging ? I got an otterbox defender case so its a little thick/ insulating.
I looked at the Samsung wireless charger and it has a builtin cooling fan....So if the mfgr wireless charger has a cooling fan, is the heat buildup a problem? A problem source?
BTW, it is a yootech 10w wireless charger and the phone says it charges faster through the wireless charger than it does through the USB cord powering the wireless charger.
THANKS !
i've been using a Pleson 'fast' wireless charger for years with my GS8+ and now with my GS21+ and while there can be times when the phone is warm to the touch i've never had a problem. I have a Quad Lock case on the device which is a pretty thick back. FWIW I also use the charger on my work-assigned GS20FE w/o issue.
I've put a Vanguard rubber case on my phone. and I'm using Samsung Wireless Charging Powerbank for wireless charging. Yes, the phone warm up while charging. It is a20 watt charger and so far, the only charger that shows "Fast Charging" while charging wirelessly. For wired charging, the fastest charger I've used so far is the 65 Watt Lenovo Laptop charger that comes with my Yoga Laptop. 0 to 50 in just 45 mins. But I got the 2nd fastest charger from a totally unexpected place. It is from IKEA. Yes, IKEA also now making fast chargers. I've bought a 23 watt USB-C + USB-A dual charger with PD 3.0 and it charges pretty fast. at least 1% per minute.
Alright thanks. I havent noticed any warming when using a wired charger...of course it isnt the the new super fast charging plug.

Wireless adds unnecessary heat and right where you least want it, inside the phone.
If you increase the gap (a case) between coils it may create more waste heat than a coupling that is closer. Air core transformers aren't very efficient.
I never use wireless but do use fast charging.

Question 25W magnetic wireless desktop charger ??

Hi,
Does anyone know if such a thing exists ? It seems that the only magnetic wireless desktop chargers are for iphones and hence seem to top out at 7.5w. I have bought: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08S6XQFDM Which allows you to sue magnetic wireless chargers, but I'd like to get one that can utilise the 25w charging capability of my new Z Flip 4.
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated !
Thanks in advance,
Jeremy
Just to clarify, 25w is only wired charging. For wireless, max is 10w only so look for qi magnetic chargers for that speed. This one says it can do max 15w wireless https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Positioning-Placement-Operation-Compatible/dp/B096W24V1H
Thanks NguyenHuu - good to understand that clarification. Will take a look at that stand.

As far as I can see in the available specs, the wireless is up to 15W and this is something that I'm actually seeing (without the actual current measurements, just perceptibly) - the phone seems to charge quicker on my Samsung 15W QI charger than the Flip 3, which supposedly had 10W wireless charging. The brick for that charger is also 15W, so it seems legit.
I'm using a generic 15 Qi watt wireless charger from Amazon. Was dirt cheap, Did not come with wall plug. Using a generic 25 watt charger (same specs as Samsungs wired charger) my phone reports charging from about 12 -14watts. Charges up quick. Why the 25 watt? The old wall plug I was using was 10 or less and would take all night to charge if 35% or less left on battery. So if you use Qi 15 watt wireless, just make sure your wall plug is up to speed.
PS that free flip case they gave out with the strap and metal lug will not allow wireless through it. Case and strap too thick. Probably why they are dumping them for free.
Yeah, the rapid wireless charging is the thing I will miss most about the Pixel 6 Pro.
