I have a Eincar no name head unit. Does anyone know if the unit can stop muting when car in backing up? Is there a way around this? Can this be programed?
Hi there and welcome to assist,
Unfortunately there is nothing about your question/device on XDA forum. Try a Google search first or contact the manufacturer for stock firmware and flashing instructions.
You'll have to create an account to post in the main forums if you have any other questions.
Maybe some user can help you here: > Android Auto > Android Head Units or here > General discussion > Connected Car
Good luck

Hello,
This is my first question (searched for the answer but did not find !) and I hope I'm posting at the right place.
I'm currently working on an Android app, and I would like it to be able to get access to the microphone sensitivity or at least model / reference.
I found a bunch of applications on the play store which can tell almost everything about built-in cameras / sensors etc. but nothing concerning the microphone.
I get a feeling that this info may be somewhere in /dev but can't manage to get to it.
Thanks a lot !

I have installed an Xtrons TD626A Android 4.4 head unit car stereo and I'm a little concerned about the possibility of a back-door on the unit. I'm looking for help with seeing how I can monitor if something is installed and possibly monitoring network traffic for validity of which application may be using.

I'm looking to either write a custom ROM or Android application that will allow me to take an audio file on the phone and trick the phone into thinking it is hearing that audio clearly through the microphone. I have been searching through the properties and rights looking for an IO stream that is actually used by the applications to read the incoming microphone information and to be able to replace it with an audio stream of my choosing.

I recently purchased a chinese stereo headunit for my vehicle to replace the oem one that was defective and i am surprisingly very happy with everything on it except there is one annoying item that I would like to remove. The unit is running android pure 4.4.2 and there is this microphone icon that is on every screen that you can touch and speak to. I assume that she is there to provide guidance to wherever you wish to go in the system by voice application. The issue is she speaks chinese only and i have not found a way to disable her or remove her. i wish to remove her completely or at least put her away. Is there anything that you guys and gals out there may know that could help me? Anyuthing useful would be greatly appreciated. I am new to the forum and to android so pardon the "nube" please. lol
