GT-N8000 update question - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I've had my GT-N8000 since 2013 it has 3G option and is ulocked.
I remember when i got it it had a baseband N8000XXALI3, i remember cos I wrote it on the box! Back then it had the very first rom edition of 4.0 something and wanted to update the firmware but no updates were available at the time. I waited a couple of months and after that i flashed on it the german 4.1.2 stock rom using Odin. My Tablet is unlocked so all went well and it still runs very well. It's not rooted.
Currently my tablet has the following info:
AP: N8000XXCMA1
CP: N8000XXCLL1
CSC: N8000XACMA1
Now when looking for updates, none show up on OTA or KIES, and i really need to update to the latest official rom which as I understand is 4.4 but I don't know which file to download. Can you help me? Anything I need to do before that? Backup a Nand or EFS? I don't really know what those are!
Any advice on which rom to use and keep the s-pen functionality and 3G? Are there any new roms for marshmallow?
Thank you kindly in advance.

https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-N8000/
Baseband is modem not firmware .

Thank you for replying,
I have already went to that page and I wanted to make sure which rom to download, there are many 4.4.2 but none of them are for my country. And to tell you the truth, this tablet was offered to me as a gift back then from overseas and I'm not sure of its country of origin. I there a way to know that?
So I'm not sure which rom to download and flash without messing something up!
Sorry for the noob questions, the more details you can provide will be appreciated. And thanks again.

Download for your location/network/model.
Sent from my SM-N930F using XDA-Developers Legacy app

My device is unlocked as in not bound to a cell carrier and neither my location nor my provider are available in that list of roms.
In that case what's the best option?
Thank you kindly.

This model look's like a variant of the T-mobile model SGH-M919V
I was able to root my model SGH-M919V by following this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258633. All credit goes to them. Not to me.
i also installed Goomanager http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2263001. All credit goes to them. Not to me.
I did a backup of everything with the TWRP. I will link the backup here.

I don't understand why this thread is in the AT&T forum, but anyway as to your question, go to either http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ (you have to register to download) and enter SGH-M919 in the search box or go to http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SGH-M919 and download the firmware for your phone. This is version M919UVUAMDL which should be the pre-ota version. Flash with Odin.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Not the same number as what? I understood @ferlogan wanted to downgrade to original firmware so he can use the motochopper root method.
The firmware I linked is taken right off of the Samsung Kies servers, and since the phones are so new, it will be the original firmware that is on the phone when the phone comes out of the box. I don't have your phone, or carrier, as I'm still on SGH-I777 and AT&T. But you should be able to verify in the T-Mo forum that the version number is the same as the original firmware. The version number for the ota update will be slightly different.
I think he mean to say that the number you put is for SGH M919 (T-mobile version) and we are on canadian Videotron or wind which is SGH-M919V and doing *#1234# give a different version M919VV....
I am also in same boat I want to know which firmware to downlaod to downgrade in order to Root my videotron canadian version, I don't want to brick my phone.

So you can't even get the phone into download mode now?
Its volume down + power + home. Then plug it into the pc and run Odin. If it shows up on one of the COMs then you're good to go.

yeah i was able to bring it back to original state with the official rom and it even show offical rom in the odin menu now. the only problem i got now is, when i connect kit to wireless network, my speedtest is around .3Mbps and .34 for the upload.
The rom i used is the one available in sammobile and it not exactly the same number as before. Even with Skies it upgraded to this version and it so slow on my network now.

how did you brick it?
I too have a SGH-M919V, mine is with Wind Mobile and I just recently got it.
I am assuming there are no stable or compatible roms with this model yet? I want to try rooting it how you did it and then I suppose wait for a stable rom. I'm anxious that our model isn't on sammobile.. yet.
Just curious, is yours also with Wind Mobile? my AP, CP, and CSC came up with the same numbers.
I wish there was more information and light on this particular model, thank you for having this thread.

Some of the other users and I have another thread going that has some of the information that you are looking for. Our phone does have stock odin flashable firmware and it is on sammobile / samfirmware now.
Here's the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303384
Which version of TWRP did you flash to your 919V? The one suggested by Goo Manager? It suggests Generic Canadian usually used in 337 phones. Or T-mobile for 919?

Hey Guys!
First Post here, sorry if I get anything wrong. But I was having some difficulties finding a way to root my phone. I want to have my phone rooted so I can download some root only apps and that's it. Nothing fancy. However I found that there a few different threads for rooting and me being nervous I don't want to brick my phone. It would be great if you guys could point me in the right direction. TL;DR I have an unlocked Mobilicity SGH-M919V Samsung Galaxy S4 and I dont know to follow the Canadian Thread or the SGH-M919 Thread.
BaseBand/AP/CP: M919VVLUFNE1
Kernel Version: 3.4.0-1529758
CSC: M919VYVLFNE2
Also Motochopper did not work for me.
Thanks Guys!!!!!!!!

Well, i bought my phone here in the Philippines. Also i came across a thailand firmware while searching and it matches mine, but the link is not available anymore.
So if you can find/give a stock firmware for me it will really help me a lot.
p.s. i cant post links yet so google "s7500dxlb1" and view the one that says "S7500DXLB1 Android 2.3.6 Thailand Firmware Download" to see the link im talking about.

would this work on my phone?, the file says "S7500DXMG3" and the one installed in my phone stocked is version S7500DXLB1.
Ans
Don't be worry.
I live in Taiwan but I can flash even German version( I've tried before)
This firmware is the latest. I think your version is older one. Samsung released several version to make it stable, so the latest version is the stablest version and it will also add some new features.
Actually, all S7500 firmware is suitable but you have to notice that your area.
Because I found I flash German 2.3.6 stock firmware and I cannot have stock Chinese keyboard in it.
Flash your country version is the best choice.
p.s. if you flash from a custom rom, don't forget to back up data you want and do factory reset. it will make your S7500 work like a new phone
thanks a lot

Update for SM-P905 (baseband no: P905XXUANA7 build no: P905XXUANC3) ?

Hi guys,
Am I mistaken or is this the last samsung note pro in the known universe to receive an update to lollipop? I understand it's been a long wait for all note pro users. Does anyone here have an idea when this particular model SM-P905 (baseband no: P905XXUANA7 build no: P905XXUANC3) will receive an update?

I guess you don't have to flash a specific firmware since you have the international 905 model !!
Mine was from italy and i flashed UAE firmware without problems !!

Oh. I feel so newb (And I'm a tech guy...awkward....lol). Mine is running stock kitkat (4.4.2). I rooted it a while back, but so far, have not flashed it with any rom. Correct me if I'm wrong - international version means that all the LTE/radio bands are unlocked? I can't flash it with Deodex.Root.Xposed, as I'm not running stock lollipop. Which rom did u flash yours with?
Chris
You should be able to use Odin to flash any of the released 905 version lollipop updates from sammonbile. You will lose your root however.

Thanks for the link, however, I live in Australia, so according to sammobile, there's no lollipop firmware for this country:

Since your going to flash it yourself just choose any region (pick one thats on 5.1.1) and flash that. Then just change the language and time zone settings during set up and you should be good to go. Many US customers with the 905 used this method when other countries were getting the original 5.0.1 update before them. Worked fine.

Thanks for the info. Cool. I'll keep an eye out for 5.1.1. If I'm not mistaken, most are 5.0.2 at the moment, except AT&T.

Fail to Upgrade SM-G920I (Spark) to 6.0.1

Hi Guys,
I've bought a Galaxy S6 (SM-G920i) on B&H unlocked, and it comes with an Australian firmware (SPARK) 5.1.1.
I've downloaded an unbranded firmware from sam, but I can't installed. It has failed before instalation begins.
Has this firmware (SPARK) any kind of lock that can't allow me to install an unbranded firmware? I want to stay with the phone stock and with an unbranded version of 6.0.1.
If anyone can give me a clue, I'll really appreciate it!
Regards,
Power

check your csc, it may need to be changed if spark has not as yet released a 6.0.1 upgrade.

Thanks for your reply Cosmic! I'm trying to push the firmware via Odin. I think CSC should not a problem at this point. I can't understand why I can't flash an stock firmware via Odin. I'm starting to think that it has any kind of lock.
Anyone had the same experience than me?
Thanks in advance,

Help Needed Regarding Updates.

Hi Everyone.
I'm currently using a refubrished Galaxy S8 plus, the model is SM-G955U.
As you can guess this is a phone destined for the USA market but currently I'm using it in Bangladesh which is in another continent.
As a result i didn't receive any updates after purchasing the phone and whenever i try to download update manually it says, "Registration Failed"
Can anyone help me to update my phone? I have attached screenshots in which you can see the current software version of the device.
Also if updating to official Samsung software isn't possible then can anyone suggest me custom ROMs for this model!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Failed registration may be because of the fact you aren't using a US SIM card.
U models also.. don't have much custom ROM abilities. It's a locked Snapdragon. You can use firmware sites to be able to download updates respective of the model number.
