I am participating in the beta of 7.1.2 and not sure if this problem is with the software version or persistent across other devices. I noticed that messages sent from the notification drawer (hangouts and allo) do not go through properly. Once I open the app and send a message, all of the unsent messages send immediately. Also with Allo, I don't receive messages in a timely manner, sometimes they come in hours later or only pop up if I open the app to the specific conversation. Anyone else experiencing these issues as well. On the Beta? What's the best way to report this?

In 1.5, the gmail notification (on phone) would disappear after I read the new message on my computer.
I'm currently using Damage Control 2.07.2 and messages don't disappear -- the notification is staying until I select it or clear notifications. This is very annoying and time wasting as I'm effectively being notified when there is no new mail.
Anyone else have this problem? Is this a general 2.1 rom problem, a DC problem or just something up with my phone?
That's only happening with you, dude. I don't get why it's a problem though.... just clear notifications. It takes 2 seconds.
I'm wondering if anyone else is missing notifications for calls, texts and emails. People will text me and I won't get an audible notification or an led blink. Same thing for calls. It doesn't do that all the time but over the past few days I've missed calls and text messages for hours because of this. I am running the stock OS rooted.
Thanks for any replies.
So nobody has issues with notifications not working but me?
Yes, I have the same issue. Seems to happen if I don't go back to the home screen before a screen timeout. If I let the screen time out within messages and then get a text from some one I already have a message from I won't get a notification.
Using Sense-o-maniac latest version with bricked 1.5 kernel.
No big issues on stock rom on my phone, but sometimes when I get two messages from two different people at the same time it goes a little mental and only gives a notification for the other txt. Then, later I discover I had received two instead of one messages.
Just noticed a problem with Texts notifications. I cannot dismiss them from the notification centre. Have received 5 messages over the last two days and despite dismissing the notification, as soon as I do, it returns. And it remains until I delete the messages Running 4.4.2. Was fine previously, don't know if it's a 4.4.2 issue or a Textra update that's causing it?

I am also getting this exact problem.
I'm wondering if anybody else has the same problem that I do. On the stock messaging app, on a few threads that have a lot of MMS messages with certain contacts , I notice the app goes very slow when I try to compose a new message to that recipient, or even scroll through that thread. On other threads with less messages, no problems. Does anybody else run into this? I have tried clearing cache, but that does not appear to work
By chance could this be a theme issue? If you are using a theme try going back to stock and see if it still persists. The Note 5 should have plenty of horsepower to scroll through mms pages effortlessly.
No. I use the stock theme.

Yes-exactly the same problem. I text with my wife a lot and didn't bother to delete old messages and the lag was awful with the stock app. When I used Textra no issues.
I deleted the whole thread with my wife and started over with her and the stock app performance was much better.
Hey there! Is there someone else who has got trouble with the notification service? I've got the Honor 8 FRD-L09, with the latest update.
When I grant access to the notification service for an app it works. But as soon as I reopen this app, it doesn't work anymore. Then, I've to un-enable and re-enable the access in order to get it working again. I've experienced this with AL and Join, which where the only apps I recently gave notification access to...
Any ideas?
Maybe i am facing the same problem with WhatsApp for an week now. For me when I get the first WhatsApp notification it works well. But after replying to the message on WhatsApp or from the notification bar, the second notification or maybe the third repeats the first notification. I don't know why but maybe because i am a beta tester of WhatsApp. All the other apps like Allo and messaging works just fine
Would be interesting what causes these bugs...
