Similar functionality can be achieved by using a USSD code in some devices, this app opens the settings in manufacturer independent way.
There are similar apps available, which work on the USSD code and full of unnecessary Advertisements.

Strange activity in battery history - possible battery drain explanation

I was perusing my battery history (accessible from the 4636 menu) and I saw this strange output from the network usage screen.
If I click on the item labeled 0, it force closes
Any thoughts what it may mean? Related to battery drain using 4g?
(To access this screen, open the dialer and key in *#*#4636#*#* and then choose 'Battery history' on the subsequent menu. Change the first combo box to 'Network Usage')

[HOW-TO] Easily change network mode (GSM/LTE/WCDMA) from stock AT&T ROM

Hi,
I have owned this device (S2 Skyrocket i727) for 3 years now. It is still an incredible phone for daily usage.
One thing that has bothered me is the difficulty in changing network mode in the stock AT&T ROM.
One elaborate way to do that is dial *#*#4636#*#* and choose the network mode. But this is a pain to do everytime.
I have found another easier way. Here are the steps.
Install Nova Launcher (Play Link) or any other launcher which allows adding Activities as shortcuts
Create a widget and then select activity
Scroll down to UltraCfg -> Network Settings (network.NetworkSettings)
Done
Sample screenshots from the widget.

Hope this helps!

*#*#4636#*#* isnt enough. it wasnt enough for me.
in the past.... *#197328640# would open all such options (ro.usually)which would (of course) depend on make/model/lock(network,SIM....yadayadayada).
if you are interested in more information on the subject. it really is a lot more than sec/ussd codes and sys.perso.sec.
but, you may have to get a different type of device entirely to see the typical LTE provisioning
the .apk i use is Secret Codes Revealer simply because in 2011 it was the only one out there with its function and im sure it was built in Russia due to.....and the Russian responses when it was maintained.
