Hi,
I've recently bought a Bluetooth keyboard and I have an issue: keyboard works but physical keyboard menu is not showing up in settings. It shows only on 6.0 Roms and 4.4.4 AOSP from what I tested but I can't/don't want to use any of those. It's not available even on stock which is strange since it works on my other 4.2 device. Is there a way to enable this menu or is there any other ROM that has this function working?
nevermind I see where the issue is: https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/3011

Hi, I've just updated my P3110 to Android 4.0.4 via KIES. The new keyboard is great but there is no sound on touch even though I enabled this option in settings. System sounds are also set to max and of course silent mode is switched off And general sound on touch works flawlessly (the new one, like in Galaxy S3) only keyboard is silent. Can anyone confirm this issue? Cheers.
Try setting/keyboard or language and setting and try to find samsung keyboard and see its setting (of keyboard) and try to tick and apply sound on press or so
I do not have stock rom i have cm so can not see options exactly sorry
Or Try 3rd party keyboard as go keyboard (beautiful themes)
Sent from Galaxy S2 or Galaxy Tab2
As I said, the keyboard sound option is enabled but still there's no effect at all. I just find it strange and wonder whether it's a bug or something got messed up with my update.
I run official CyanogenMod 10 on my SL101 who is a TF101 with a integrated keyboard sliding under the screen.
The auto-rotate screen function does not work when the keyboard is under the screen.
Is there a solution or a trick to make it work correctly without an app ?
PS:The only roms who work normaly are the Asus-TF101/SL101 based roms like Revolver 4 but who are not JellyBean.
We Slider owners just have to stick with the few ICS ROMs for now. Devs are still concentrating on fixing the bugs for the TF101 on ICS ROMs.
There is so few SL101 users next to TF101, that I am afraid that we will never have update.
By the way, changing some properties of the build.prop CM10 by Asus-ICS do nothing better.
As I need another languages to type, I have to use 3rd party keyboard apps such as smart keyboard, go keyboard or multiling keyboard.
However, from JB stock, those software keyboards stay on screen with slid out hw keyboard. This is really annoying, but I didn't find any way to mitigate this. Weird thing is that google/stock keyboards don't have this problem, only 3rd party apps are impacted.
Also, CM10 and stock ICS don't have this symptom, only stock JB is problematic. Not sure whose fault is this, but obviously some mismatch is happening around keyboard...
Even the swype in the market is bad, pre-installed swype is working as expected...
Hello,
I have upgraded my S6 to android 6. Unfortunately now during call when I need to press additional buttons to confirm options, it is now showing only big button for 1 and no other numbers.
Did anyone get this problem or what the fix is? I still have modified DPI from when I had version 5, but on version 5 it worked without any problems.
On my friend's phone it works fine, he also has version 6. Is there any fix for that other than changing dpi back to original?
I really don't want to do that as it makes phone really ugly and I have no other issues with it other than camera interface and keyboard during call.
Anyone?
My device is connected with physical keyboard and mouse via OTG USB hub.
Whenever I write something the virtual keyboard kept showing up despite being toggled off in physical keyboard configuration. But in my older device (android 5.1), it is working, no virtual keyboard showing up.
Watch the video to see what I mean.
Has anyone encounter the same? How did you solve it?
I tried to force stop all virtual keyboards but no luck.
I found a solution. There is this keyboard app that doesn't display keyboard.
I should've search first in play store if there is such app to hide keyboard and to my surprise, I am lucky to find one.
