My instagram has stopped loading pictures on wifi. This happens on all wifi networks. Everything loads fine on cellular data. I have tried uninstalling the app, wiping dalvik, reinstall - no luck. I tried installing a previous version of the app and still no luck.
This is isolated to just Instagram. The photos flash/blip then it gives the standard message "Image couldn't load. Tap to retry."
Phone is a One, Android 6.0.1, CM 13.0.2016220-Snapshot
Maybe I'll give the Lineage OS a flash and see what happens, I had issues with Gapps when I tried previously, used the smallest Gapps package when the Stock package wouldn't install, and then kept getting pop-up errors for apps
Any ideas?
well i flashed the Lineage OS experimental build and that seems to have fixed whatever the problem was.. downloading and flashing the Jan 30 nightly release now

Problem
com.google.process.gapps stops working
What I have done so far:
Cleared cache
Cleared davlik cache
Removed Gmail account and re-added
Disabled ALL sync options
What I did to get here:
Installed TWRP (replaced Clockwork Recovery)
Installed CM10
Installed GooManager (for gapps)
Restored ALL apps I had/wanted back from the Play store
This problem occured immediately after I finished installing all apps. I dont know what one app might have caused this. I am trying to avoid a factory reset, but it seems this may not be avoidable at this current step. My question is, what else is there I can do short of a factory reset?
EDIT 1: just found out the GAPPS i am using is for 4.1.2. Would this cause the issue since i am on Android 4.1.1?
EDIT 2: Re-flashed the GAPPS from GooManager and it seems to be working better. I will update after testing it throughout my 24 hour duty.
EDIT 3: I let it go to "sleep" and when i woke it up, the process failed again.
EDIT 4: Used another version of GAPPS for Tegra. Now trebuchet crashes after going to sleep. Seems the GAPPS is the cause of the problem. Is there a stable version for my device and CM10? The latest crashes the com.process.google.gapps and the later crashes trebuchet
.
EDIT 5: After a night of troubleshooting, I found out i was using version B3 instead of V6 of CM10. Thus the Android version of 4.1.1 instead of 4.1.2. I just flashed V6 to my tablet and now I am testing the device for compatibility with the first version of GAPPS that i had installed earlier. I will post results after my tests.
EDIT 6: So far so good, everything seems to be running normally. I have not had any problems for the last five hours. I hope this fixed my problem
EDIT 7: So after waking up to my tablet sleeping, i woke it and the process failed again. Is there a compadible GAPPS zip out there somewhere?
EDIT 8: Ok, so I decided to do a factory wipe, install CM10 V6 fresh. Then install google apps filename "gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip" Seems that the google apps keeps failing. I even unchecked all the sync options and didn't put my account in until after i installed the google apps. At this time there are NO apps installed other than the default CM and GAPPS. I am officially stumped. HELP PLEASE!
EDIT 9: I did a factory wipe, no re-install of CM10 or GAPPS, just a standard wipe followed by clearing both caches. Upon reboot it wanted my credentials for google. Seems to be working ok, meaning it GAPPS is not crashing at this current moment. However, it has dropped WiFi on me while it went to sleep and came back. I told it to not turn WiFi off when it sleeps, but alas, it seems to be broken. Also, it lockes up randomly, and the only way to recover is to hold the power button to turn it off and then reboot. Thoughts?
EDIT 10: Changed to the nightlys from CM and updated to the most recent GAPPS. Everything is working great. Minus some of the things that have already been mentioned. My lock screen disappears ever so often. Also, I have noticed that when not charging, the tablet will shut down at 49% when sleeping. I don't know if that is a feature of the CM10, but it is annoying. I have yet to have any random lock ups, but some of my apps won't work anymore. I have noticed that some apps will work one moment, the next it will have a video failure, but the sound will continue and the process will continue. Just the video display will be stuck on one image. For example, Jetpack Joyride does this. Also, Song Pop Free will not work, among some other apps. So, I guess I have to wait for a Jelly Bean update for some of these apps.
I've had a similar issue with gapps, usual provoked by accessing gmail or maps however I did have the same issue with the stock rom.

I appreciate the info, was this with ICS or Jelly Bean? I am assuming with your stock you mean ICS. Am I missing something about GAPPS? Is there a better compatible build for this?
.. just go to the settings and then click on the application manager and then click on all and then scroll to download manager and enable it if it is disabled. .......Thanks. ....

Hi,
I have cyanogenmod installed since january and updated it from time to time
Since i had the problem of the sytem.ui crash i reverted it to the 040112014 nightly but noticed that google+ disappeared.
So i tried to install it and got the "unknown error during installation: "-24"".
I even update the cyanogenmod, cleared cache and dalvik cache but i keep on having this error.
It looks like i can install other apps but not google+ anmore...
Can someone help me, please?
i would not like to do a hard reset,
thanks
Getting "unfortunately trebuchet has stopped" on CM 12.1 & RR 5.7.4 after wipe/format
Hi,
Ive been running Fonz's build of CM12.1 for over a year now, a few months ago I was updating some apps when my phone rebooted, and once I got to the lock screen I got the message "unfortunately trebuchet has stopped".
Nothing i could do would fix it, wiping davlik cache and main cache then dirty flashing the same rom again, no joy, so I bit the bullet and decided to install a different rom. This time I decided to go for something a little bit newer, don't want to use Nougat yet so flashed the last Marshmallow build of RR (5.7.4). After wiping everything except SD card and installing, all seemed ok until I started to install apps from my history, then it did the exact same thing. Booted into recovery, this time formatted instead of wiped, install went fine but the same thing happened again.
It does this on both roms an it seems to happen if I que more then 1 app to install at a time from the app store, or just randomly if I install each app one at a time. Does anyone know whats causing this ? :crying:
Thanks in advance.
here is another one. like you, i too was on fonz's CM12.1, was updating apps and ROM rebooted. i had a booloop first corrected by wiping cache and dalvik cache. however after booting normally it ended in launcher crashing indiscriminately, it crashes all type of launchers. i even did a clean reinstall of fonz's ROM after restoring apps it came back after a while. another telltale symptom is going into app manager (apps in settings menu) crashes settings app when you meddle in it (mostly crashes immediately).
my guess is that reboot while installing/updating apps corrupts something (not the dalvik cache) irrecoverably in the system. after the clean install, app store was only killed/crashed during app installation (there was no reboot) before the launcher started crashing again. just wiping/formatting other partitions(non-system) or dirty flashing ROM doesnot fix it.
i think some apps now are too big to be inflated for ART within 1GB of RAM for the app store and it gets killed by the kernel when it runs out of memory thresholds. i dont see how the app store could have been killed when i was doing nothing while installing the apps else. or in the unlikely but probable event it is a rogue app (hence app manager crashing).
have reluctantly moved to noughat since then (2 months now). in noughat app installation/update is lesser of a burden though. they have hybrid of something like the JIT (kitkat days) and ART. seemingly apps install/update way faster with less resources. i dont think we have choice.

Update: I installed lost101's optimized 5.1 stock, works perfect, but its 5.1 and still has stage freight vulnerabilities, at least Fonz's rom was 5.1.1 and had the security patches back ported up until he stopped developing it. I might give Lineage 14.1 or RR a try once they figure out all the bugs or move to Oreo, thanks for the info .
BTW, my phone crashed every time I tried to install Open Camera on cm12.1 and RR, works fine on optimized stock 5.1 so I don't know if its a ram limitation.

You can try identity crisis 1.5, its a stock marshmallow ROM for moto g..
Nougat based ROMs are now completely stable you can try out LOS 14.1 (now they have included November security patch)
I've installed the new build of Lineage on my note 10.1 8010 and flashed it with the arm 7.1 nano Gapps which constantly pops up with the "Setup Wizard keeps stopping" error.
I've tried using the pico version and this didn't work either.
Reviewing some fixes online say that i should grant permissions to Contact and Telephone, for the SetupWizard, but my SetupWizard isn't requesting permissions to this, it's just blank.
I have found a com.google.android.setupwizard but these have already been granted.
Another fix is to make sure you have Wifi connected, which it is.
I've cleared cache and wiped everything many times to see if it was a way i was installing Gapps, attempting to install it right after the rom was installed, installed the rom, then booted and then installed Gapps...
..tried lots of different methods but nothing seems to work.
Using TWRP.
Been at this for days now and really out of ideas.
Thanks
Hi all.
I've updated to the latest Android 11 release and am having a few problems with it. The built-in phone app (Link) crashes immediately on execution. I've been able to workaround by installing the Google phone app, but even this crashes sometimes too.
Another thing that's weird is the "System" menu in settings. I've attached a screenshot of how it looks.
I've tried reflashing the zip to no avail. I'm wondering if the problem is that I originally went from Android 10 to the WW-30.40.30.96 version, and then from this version to the latest WW-30.41.69.51 version. Any thoughts?
