[Q] Android market issues

Three days back I bought a Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi MZ606 from China, to mys surprise this doesn't has Market apps instead it has shop4apps which has everything in Chinese. Am stuck and frustrated with this handicapped device, they won't return it either. Can someone please help me as how to install custom Firmware or even US Firmware or Indian Firmware so that everything comes in English along with the Android Market application and google talk..........plz help

Wow that's a real bummer, I just purchased mine from Hong Kong, ans was worried I would end up with the same issue, thankfully I have no such problem mine is all English. I really hope you can get this fixed.

As long as it isn't a Hong Kong variant, you could flash the US wifi stock images. Get them from the General section or direct from Motodev. All wifi models have same hardware.

[Completed] [Q] Rooting samsung galaxy a3 (sm-a3000CHU)

Hi.,
I have Samsung A3 (SM-3000) from bought from mainland China and trying to add google play shop & services on the phone without success. Each time after installation, google services just gives error message and stops. I've already learned that this is due to chinese software on my phone and therefore it must be rooted.
I've tried several different rooting software already now without success and each time rooting is starting ok, but then after 15 secs some error message comes to phone and in chinese of course... Problem might be with locked bootloader, i guess?? How to unlock this damn phone, anyone?? Plz help.

Just to report my own solution.. I was able to find at least partial solution to my original problem with google play & services. I flashed with Odin new rom, details below

After flashing resetting the phone with stock recovery and reboot. It used to have only 3 languages, chinese, english & korean, now i have all the languages, all google apps and everything is same as phone was purchased from EU or so. And those Baidu, weibo etc. are missing. Me so happy...
and yes, if you plan to do this as well, please remember to take backups before you start the process. I didn't...

[Q] H60-L02 dual sim update from EMUI 2.3 to 3.0

Hi everyone, I got a dual sim H60-L02 from China (rooted by the seller) and using it in Malaysia.
The shop dealer asked me not to update the phone as I will not be able to use Malaysia SIM card upon updating to the latest firmware.
Is it something to do with the baseband?
Is there anywhere I can find the baseband if I updated the phone and fail to connect to the cellular services?
Do advise / correct me should I have made wrong statement.

sorry but it sounds to me you've got either a clone device or spyware from your seller. try the app Z device test to check the hardware

I have L-02 type, unrooted, using it in Malaysia, 1st sim Maxis and the other one use indonesia's SIM. It's running properly for 3G. I unable try 4G coz my sim card not support for 4G.

Just to update, as there is a small note not to update to EMUI 3.0 while in rooted mode, I had factory reset the phone and then only updated the phone to latest firmware. Since Gapps does not available in China, I installed the Gapps from huawei app centre (Google calendar and contact sync adapter are available in that app centre) and the phone works well up to now except whatsapp chat history problem.
Hope you all enjoy Honor 6 H60-L02, definitely a phone worth to buy.

The band number is N920TUVS4DQA2. How can I solve this problem? Please help me. This is a big problem for me. I already thank you all very much.

TWRP for Samsung Galaxy C5 PRO (C5010)

Hello!
For starter, I'd like to thank you guys for all the help you provide for this site.
1: My gf's Galaxy C5 Pro just got android 7.0 but only for China (Open China) and Hong Kong and after looking into every update since the phone got released, there are no firmware for any other country (I'm from Romania btw) so naturally I wanna' flash the Hong Kong version (to my knowlege Hong Kong version does have the Google Services, Open China does not have) but I'm a bit scared that if it doesn't work as it should I need a backup. Now there are plenty of site and forums that provide "legit link" to TWRP but they just look kind of suspicious and I don't wanna' brick her phone. So any help guys, I'll apreciate it.
2: About that Hong Kong version, would it work here, in Romania without any signal problem? Like lost or drop signal?
I kinda don't want to wait until Romania firmware comes out (which it might not) cause that could be in like 1 year or so.
Maybe there are people from other country beside those mention above that flashed the Hong Kong version and report how the rom handle and work

pleasee TWRP for SM-C5010

hey
mine is a sm-c5018, but it had the sm-c5010 Marshmallow on it, there was no update option, even smart switch showed its up to date
so i downloaded the sm-c5010 Nougat from here and flashed manually using Odin, Its perfect and no issues so far after three days of use (here in Pakistan)
you can use syncios to backup your data and then flash this, for a phone that just launched recently i wouldn't take the risk of installing recovery or root
