I see a press release on the Fleksy website saying that the keyboard is now available for the Gear 2. I would like to know how to install it. I see videos and such showing how to do it on the old Galaxy Gear but since the OS change I am not sure the same ADB process is the same. I would like to know how to install this and see how it works.
Since I am a new user I can't post links but if you search gear 2 keyboard you will find it.

Not out yet. They sent me a message on Twitter saying very soon. They are working with Samsung.

Gear s2 and iPhone - remarks

I recently bought a Samsung Gear S2 classic.
It connects to iPhone via bluetooth without any app, so here is my experience:
- Notifications work, (the ones from the notification center), however you cannot act on them, it is just a notification viewer. You can read the message that comes or e-mail or FB message, however you cannot answer them.
- No access to any other apps/watch faces beside the stock ones that are on the watch already
- Wifi network connection is limited to open networks only :/ (secured networks are not visible, why?) however range of the wifi signal sensitivity is awesome (I pick up a printer Wifi signal of my neighbour 3 floors up)
- Battery : At 8h I still have 50% (moderate use, loads of notifications, Wifi off, HR sensor frequent, Brightness 8, Ambient on)
- World clock is totally off, I mean the times are not right. I don't know why.
I read rumours that iOS appstore will get a Gear app by the end of this year, so support is on the way
I am an Apple fan (iphone, ipad, imac, macbook and so on) and I have to say... Gear S2 is going to rock the smartwatch boat a looooot!
The quality you get for the money is just amazing.

Hi I have an iphone, and the gear s2 3g pairs to it, but I don't see any notifications coming through (not sure how that would work, because I haven't selected which notifications I would want to send to the watch the way i do on my android phone (Note 4)). Are there any settings you had to change to enable this functionality?

Notifications that are in the notification center are working and they get through to the watch.
There is no app yet, I just connected it via bluetooth.
After reset, the secured WiFi networks are discoverable (some of them at least).
Overall, after 1 day of usage, I got 15h of battery. Now I am testing the battery with no HR sensor and Brightness 5.
I will post results soon!

I have a samsung phone that my gear s2 is connected to. I also have an iPhone for work. Do you think I could connect both phones at the same time? Lol.... I just got the watch and it is charging, so I can't try it.

I'm affraid that isn't possible, since gear s2 only connected to ios when they do a reset (never pair and update with galaxy appmanager on android).

What about the gear app manager for iOS ? Still working on it?

I think gear app manager still on progress, rumours say that will be available on early 2016, can't wait this to happen LoL.

The latest firmware update renders gear s2 unusable with iPhones.
After the update the gear s2 is not visible in the bluetooth devices on the iPhone ;|

Thats a good info for me, i just considering to update my firmware, because i'm experiencing always on mode is not always on, sometimes its totally turn off the display, i think that's because the firmware, but then i do a research on this forum, thats a common problem

Just unpacked my amazon-delivered gear s2.
As an iphone 6 owner I'm very happy that it does communicate with the phone,though indeed only readable notifications.
Hope the app arrives soon.

So i have both android and iphone. I was trying to get the android experience with gear s2, i tried to update the latest firmware.
After that, i switch back to my iphone which i prefer to use. The result is i can't detect the gear S2 on my bluetooth.
So... Don't try to update the firmware yet. It really sad :crying:

what is exactly Gear S2 model? Model of your Iphone?

which Iphone do you use? and exactly your gear s2 version also. I'm update in gear s2 R730 is normal.

I can confirm this, as soon as I paired it with my android device, the S2 is unusable with Iphone...well after I used Gear Manager to update it.
Firmware update is fine, you just have to not activate it through the Manager on an Android device otherwise it's gone.

Yuo i think, it's because the gear s2 is paired with android devices, if you want to connect to your iphone again, you have to do a reset factory from gear s2, is that correct?

I'm afraid not. I bought the watch yesterday and was not warned that iphone users cannot update the software yet. I did a factory reset but my iphone 6 still couldn't detect the watch as it could before the update. ):

I have the same problem. I am using Iphone 6. I used the gear manager on my other phone (android) to update the gear s2 to the newest software version R732XXUU2BOKK. Hope this is helpful.

Factory reset doesn't do anything unfortunately. So mke sure u do not connect the watch using Samsung Manager on any android phone.
Using the watch to update firmware seems to be fine (using the built in wifi).

I see, so the key is, do not upgrade firmware via android gear manager apps, or you'll never get paired to the iphone anymore
But i'm doing the upgrade OTA via the device itself, and there's no update available..it says my device already have the newest firmware version, or maybe samsung OTA update has some kind of country limitation? since I'm in Indonesia?

Yup i got a july update. but mine was different mine was from sammy and included a feature in the navagation bar. Now i have the option to hide nav bar. Im sure it included some other fixes but im not sure what they said.

Yep got it last week, didn't notice any difference.

I was only offered this update OTA this morning.
But one thing I noticed right away - the Trusted Places unlock is now working as it should. Previously it was very hit and miss.

Pretty stoked to see Samsung taking care of more/less dated watch. Probably last update before new Galaxy sport rolls out.

Just got the update by manually checking in galaxy gear app. I have the BT version bought in Spain.
Is it recommended to factory reset after install? I hope this update dont mess with the sensors...lol

I have never factory reset after an update.

I still havent received the update from last year. frontie LTE LG U+ here. am i the only one here?

Did someone find out how selecting the source app for music is supposed to work? On mine gear sport I can't figure it out. Music app looks and works like before.

It probably doesn't help you since I have the s3 frontier but I hit the 3 dot menu on the side, then I hit the phone looking icon that says music player. That brings up where you can select the source app

Thanks for your answer. Just minutes ago, there was no 3 dot menu on my watch. But now, after updating the gear s plugin on my phone, it is there. Now I am able to choose, too!

No update here. Frontier s3 watch only. Ireland.
Not that i need it.. 3 days battery is enough for me so far.

Themes / Apps / Mods Galaxy Watch5/5 Pro Watchfaces for Watch4/4 Classic

I managed to get my hands on some of the new watchfaces, so I thought I'd share them here.
Included are 5 new watchfaces, but only 4 will work. HealthModular will not install and function, as it's already on the Watch4, it's just that the Watch5 has an updated version, which we will also get when the OneUI 4.5 update rolls out.
Will probably work for all Watch4 models, haven't tested the smaller variant but someone verified they work on the smaller models
To edit them, edit them through the watch, not the wearable app, I think editing them through the app glitches for some reason, and if you're done editing the watchface, just press the back button. I personally haven't had any issues but someone else did, YMMV
Install them by sideloading them, plenty of tutorials online, won't go into detail how to sideload using adb or bugjaeger
Edit: I attached a new zipfile, these contain all (!) the stock watchfaces preloaded on the Galaxy Watch5, even the once which are an updated version of the ones that already exist on the watch4. These will probably not work. I still included them, because I figured some of you will probably have more knowledge on this sort of stuff and may find a way to sideload them that doesn't involve updating the original apk, but instead sees it as a new seperate watchface apk, just like the Samsung Health Monitor Mod app does it.

I had really liked the garden one, let me try on my 40mm and see how much is problematic

HealthModular didn't work on Watch4 44mm BT non-classic. Doesn't install.
All other APK works fine. Thanks a lot!

I have contact with another person who has a Watch5 already and is willing to extract the apk's, but is inexperienced. I'll guide them later today and I'll try to extract all the watchface apks, so I'll update the post with the new .zip file if I have managed to get the watchfaces

yeah, I said this in the post, you could try to edit the filename to HealthModularS or something just like Dante does for the samsung health monitor, which may cause it to install and work properly. I haven't tried yet

But I'm also sorry to report these appear to be modded versions, there appears to be some injected code in complications.
I'll prefer to have the original copies.

I don't think it is injected code. It appears to just be new variables due to the fact that GW5 has a new body temperature sensor.

I'm looking for this watchface of watch 5, if someone gets it, could you share it?

If someone could post a tutorial on how to install the clock faces, would be greatly appreciated, because am using the adb method, but doesn't work for me.

i think its not updated in any region yet but what he meant its that we will have it when the update comes and its told its on Q3 2022 so i think they will wait a bit so some ppl upgrade to the new watch 5 before they release any update for watch 4
