Galaxy S7 Rom compatibility problems with new Lineage 15.1 based AOSP roms

I've had my S7 rooted and installed an S8 ported Rom and i wanted to try out the new oreo roms, but whenever I try to install them, it says that it isnt compatible, which lead me to think its because of my Ported S8 rom.... is there any truth to this? Or am i just doing something wrong?
Most ROM's only support installing from a previous version of their ROM, or from stock - to prevent bugs and firmware conflicts.. So yes your S8 port ROM is probably the cause.
Flash stock via Odin, then try Lineage again and you should be set.
Update your recovery
Hello,
I had the same problem. My TWRP was to old. I had a Version 3.1.x. An update to 3.2.x helped me out.
By the way, I'm on Resurrection Remise 6.0 and I love it. The only real problem ist the GPS.
Navigation is not working as expected. But that seems to be the case with all Oreo Roms.

920i questions

What is the latest build for this? I need to flash modem and bootloader.
Anyone have a good Oreo ROM running on their 920i? I keep having g no network or SIM detected. I am running the latest resurrection remix nougat no problem.

What ROM should I use?

Hello everyone!
I currently use stock/vanilla AOSP 6.0.1 rooted.
Should I go to 8.1 or 9? Preferably AOSP as well, with Magisk this time around. Will the OS lag on old hardware?
Do they still release drivers (GPU, WiFi, BT) for such an old SoC (Snapdragon 800)?

Do you Bluetooth often ?
If yes nougat or below Rom's are for you
Aokp 7.1.2 is very stable no bugs
There are annoying Bluetooth issues on all Oreo and pie ROMs
If no go unlegacy android 9.0 is up to date and stable and fast

Thanks for the response!
What's the cause of the Bluetooth bug? Old driver mismatch?
