[Completed] adopted storage in marshmallow - XDA Assist

well, I was using my S4 GT-I9505. I flashed a custom marshmallow ROM and used my Sandisk 64 GBs SD card for adopted storage, formatted it into f2fs using my phone. it was working fine. a few months later, when I flashed kitkat official ROM using chainfire new tool, I bricked my device. Now I have two problems. First odin doesnt detect my phone in anyway, my pc says, device malfunctioned. and the main problem Im having, I cant use my SD card. Is there a way to use f2fs with windows or other device so I could transfer my important data to my pc and format it again? Help please.

Hi !
I guess any other android device can read the f2fs storage , as far as I know , Windows cannot unless you convert the data which obviously will wipe everything
Linux can read it though
Cheers !

If you have an USB OTG connector, try to find some cheap usb card reader and check if the card works with the tablet thru OTG. If yes - then it's 100% physical damage of the reader in your note. If it does not work, it's the system problem.
If it's the system problem:
One: your ROM is quite old. AFAIR first JB roms had no exFAT support. Check if the SD cards u r using are formatted in FAT32, if no - reformat and re-check.
Two: if you were modifying the system (i.e. by deleting "unnecessary" system apps), you may have deleted some important app related to SD cards... try to reflash stock rom (a newer one recommended...). If you do not want to lose data do a necessary backups first, however it's not necessary to wipe /data when upgrading STOCK roms within same android version.
If it's the hardware problem - sorry, warranty repair or something...

Q: Swapping Ext sd card with internal memory

Hello, i am using SGS-3 (GT-i9300) with andorid 4.3 and 32gb memory card class 10, i read all the themes for how to do this bur it just not work. I read and make all from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1772234 step by step but no work.
I have rooted room
The room have init.d built in
I am using recovery Philz
I download and flash this file extsd2internalsd_fat32_gs3_8.zip
Restart and nothing hapends with the memory change
btw Samasung dont use fat32 he use generic hierarchical i try to formattit to fat32 but when the conecttion is from the phone there is no option for this, soo i dismount sd--card formatted it on fat32 directly without phone then put her back in phone and it show same: generic hierarchical format even she is not formatted after the mount

[Q] [Help] Sdcard not recognized after formatting

Hello,
I own a mtk phone, a Wiko Rainbow (Wiko -- a french low cost phone brand) and I recently got a quite awfuling problem: the sdcard is no more recognized afetr having been formatted The sdcard of the phone was no more recognized on any PC for some time. So I decided to format it so this issue be fixed. Then I did.
But now, the phone doesn't recognized the sdcard at all. No way to see it in phone browser. the sdacrd doesn't appear in Settings> memory too. I tried many kind of formatting : fast formatting, or not with Windows 8.1, I also delete the FAT 32 partition on sdcard, then recreate it in FAT32... No more success...
So I tried to access trough adb but no success...I get a strange error I've never seen when trying to cd to usual mouting point of sdcard (/mnt/sdcard1/) The error: Transport endpoint is not connected. Any idea so I recover my sdcard please ? that's really boring !
Thanks in advance
The phone has a stock recovery, is running android 4.4.2 KitKat, and is rooted.
[Edit] tested with an other Wiko Rainbow (which had some sdcard problem too) and same issue !! Exactly the same ! sdcard no more recognized with "Transport endpoint is not connected." issue trough adb ! I precise I used an other sdcard, but same brand that the first
So, to resume we have 2 phones Wiko Rainbow, 2 Samsung class 10 SDHC card, and exactly the same issue for the 2 devices ! Problem can't be software, because it's been updated some days ago for the both smartphones, and the problem didn't solve.
So I tend to think the samsung sdcard may be defective, due to too many R/W perhaps ? I have no idea.... Can somenone enlight me ?
Thanks in advance
Up please!
Problem not solved yet ! :crying:
Please help !
try using Mini Partition Tool. Format your sdcard from there.
Yes, it's what I did straight away, but doesn't work.... After formatting, sdcard is also rejected like if I had never formatted it and like if it was damaged....
i think your sdcard is corrupted. You need to buy a new one. (last option in my opinion)
Yes, it's what I envisaged at first. But how is it possible that a second SD card got the same problem?! Maybe it's the phone which corrupted the SD card?

[Completed] internal sd card formatted accidently

hello fellas!
i am having a serious issue with my novo 8 quadcore dicover tablet.
recently I flash my tablet to custom firmware with TWRP with the help of action PAD tool ... everything was perfect before and after flashing although I am using it with the custom firmware/rom. I connected it to pc and transfer some data to it.
at the same time my personal usb was also connected to my pc...i accidently formatted the removable storage of my tablet to fat32 filesystem instead of formating my usb drive using windows xp....
i am still having some issues with this custom rom so taht's why i decided to reflash my tablet back to its stock rom but unfornately an unknow issue come up in action pad tool that is DOWNLOAD_VMLX1_FAILED and now it stucked at 26% with the mentioned error...
few questions I really need to ask:
1.why this Download_vmlx1_failed occur on action pad tool whenever I try to flash my tablet?
2.what is the by default filesystem of internal sd card?
3.How could I flash my tablet back to its stock rom?
4.How to format internal storage using TWRP
and one more thing i.e. once I formatted my internal storage to fat32 then I lost access to my internal storage it says blank sd card unknown file system
and also unable to format
please help me..........

[Completed] Cannot access Internal Storage after adopting external SD Card as Internal Storage.

Hello, everyone!
I am in a desperate need of help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I formatted my external SD Card as Internal Storage on my device running Android 6.0 as I though it would be pretty cool.
But then I realized that I wont be able to use my true Internal Storage for storage purposes. So, I just removed my SD Card from the Micro SD Card slot and switched ON my mobile to see if that fixed everything. But of course, it made it worse.
After that, I decided to wipe my ROM and just flash the same ROM again (it was CM 13). But that did not work too!
I flashed a lollipop ROM (CM 12.1) and that made everything come back to normal. But I still cannot access my internal storage in Marshmallow ROMS.
Please help somebody. I am not an expert in this stuff. This is the first mobile I have ever rooted or flashed a custom ROM on.
