A2dp connected but no sound - MTCD Android Head Units Q&A

Hi,
I have a Erisin MTCD unit, flashed with the 1.92a KGL MCU and latest Malaysk ROM. I experience some issues with my iPhone 6.2 iOS 10 when streaming music via a2dp. Bluetooth is connected, I can make calls. But when I try to play songs via a2dp app there is no sound, although my head unit receives the song info and I am able to skip to the next song via the app. Has anyone resolved this issue? Or did I just miss to set the volume setting somewhere?
Thanks for the help!
Marc

Maybe on the phone?
Getapped and getalked with 6603

Nope. The phone is working fine in all other environments but on my unit.

Hi, i have the same problem.
My HU is LM version.
I wipe in recovery all data and cache and install for test da-Anton beta3 Rom. After reboot a2dp app works fine.
When I have more time I go back to Malaysk ROM and test again.

I fiddled around a little bit and went to configuration/apps/Bluetooth and hit "deinstall update". It went from Bluetooth 2.0 to Bluetooth 1.0 and now it seems to work. Is there another update for the Bluetooth app available ?
I will try da-Anton when I notice any problems. Thanks for the hint.

I experienced this issue with the latest malaysk rom.
In my case the luckypatcher caused the problem, after when I activate in the xposed framework.
When I unchecked in xposed the A2DP worked again.

I had this issue and reinstalled ROM twice but no fix. Found out it stopped working after i installed the bluetooth apk from the OEM folder. Haven't installed this time and all has been fine.

Yes, I can confirm this, when installing the Bluetooth app from the oem folder A2DP stops working. I haven't tried Malaysk v10 yet.

[Q] bluetooth pairing issue, how to solve?

Hello, so i bougth this great phone, but bluetooth pairing(+autoconnect) is not working at all.
So to the proplem. My opo IS paired with my alpine car stereo, but everytime i go to my car opo asks IF i want to pair it...and obviously it should just connect automatically since i have paired it earlier but no.
Is this some known issue with opo or my device just making me headtache?
IF anyone have had same proplems i would love to hear how you managed to fix it.
PS. All my old phones automatically connected to car stereo after pairing once, so its most definatly opo issue and not the alpine stereo.
Okey, i got this solved by doing 2 things, but because im stupid and didnt test it between these actions i cqnt say which one did the job or was both needed.
1. I cleared "paired devices memory" from my alpine stereo.
2. I cleared paired device list from my handset(opo)
Hope this will help someone else in future who got proplems with alpine receiver and opo.
Problem solved! bluetooth pairing and buffering issues
Hey problem solved
I had bluetooth pairing and buffering problems and now everything works perfectly. what I did was flash OPO_OxygenOS_1_0-modem-flashable.zip (you can find it somewhere in google docs..don't remember the link)
anyway after doing that everything works perfectly.
I am running cyanogen 12.1 nightly build from 20150601
then I flashed the modem.

Technical solution...too much ?
Hello All,
I too was facing issue with the Bluetooth connectivity. My headphone "Jabra Halo Smart" worked perfectly fine with other android devices but my OnePlus One. Issue i faced was that my at times my headphone would get detected but the headphone controls wont work. It was really irritating as i could not use the functionality of my headphones.
What i did was went into the Bluetooth options. Clicked on the setting icon beside my headphone and unchecked and rechecked the options.
Another action i performed was un-pairing the Bluetooth headphones from my device and resetting my headphones paired setting.
Third option was resetting the Jabra app that i installed on my mobile.
Fourth action is restarting your OnePlus device.
The above actions i performed in different orders. So one of them should surely help.
Suggestion provided by OnePlus Call Center: (which i did not need to try )
--> switch off the device
--> Press power+vol down button simultaneously
--> Select English language
--> wipe cache partition
--> wipe cache
--> reboot device
Advice while using Bluetooth headphones or speakers (especially Bluetooth devices having the functionality to connect multiple devices)...switch off the Bluetooth device and then switch off the Bluetooth of the host device (mobile, laptop, etc) and then connect the Bluetooth device to the other host device
Do not keep two host devices Bluetooth on...at times it causes to store the connection setting in the cache causing the Bluetooth device to act strangely. :cyclops: :cyclops: :cyclops:

Bluetooth pairing but actually not working

Hi,
Bluetooth is not working.
Everything was just fine until v. 44s. I've upgraded (so sorry for that) to version 05Q. Then, I had severe touch screen problem.
OPO tech support made clean install of Oxygen OS in order to solve the touch problem, but since the Oxygen update, my Bluetooth is actually not working.
I am trying to work with my car system (Kenwood DDX 8026 BT).
The OPO successfully pairs with the system, but 99 of 100 calls won't pass via BT to the car speakers.
I am also unable at all to stream music via A2DP whatsoever.
Any ideas would be very welcomed.
Amir.

Bluetooth stopped working, cannot pair to any bluetooth device

I can no longer pair to any Bluetooth device with my m8. I can't pinpoint when Bluetooth stopped working because I was without my car for 2 months (in the body shop) and wasn't using any other Bluetooth devices during that time.
I tried reverting back to stock FW with both of these links and have had no luck with Bluetooth working again:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...zw-m8-master-ruu-firmware-collection-t2946473
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...pment/stock-m-firmware-nand-recovery-t3330972
Does anyone have any ideas on what I should try to do to fix it? Do I want to downgrade to a FW pre 6.0?
Have anyone heard of the physical bluetooth module that randomly stopped working on a phone?

Xtrons PF75ATTAR suddenly no sound?

I installed an Xtrons PF75ATTAR a couple of days ago, replacing the factory Audi RNS-E. It worked fine when I installed it. I then upgraded the software and the MCU firmware with the updated files on Xtrons website, it killed off TomTom due to the serial number thing but other than that it worked as before. I upgraded the software to Malaysk's latest v7 and managed to get TomTom working with the Xposed stuff so all good.
Today however I get in the car and there is no sound. If I turn the volume up I can see it showing on the head unit, I have tried the Radio, music etc and no sound is heard I have checked all the connections and everything is fine.
I put the original Audi RNS-E back in and there is sound so its not the car's amplifier (BOSE). I assume its a hardware fault on the unit? Anything else I should check before trying to contact Xtrons?

Disconnect battery power to unit e.g disconnect harness or remove car battery terminal for 1 minute then retest.

I pulled all the cables. Left it for a couple of hours and reconnected everything and it was still the same. I then went into the Factory Settings and adjusted the System Volume in 'Voices' from 10 to 12 and after the reboot the sound returned. I then set the System Volume back to 10 and after reboot it continued to work. However got back in the car a few hours later and there is silence again. I tried messing with the System Volume in the Factory settings menu again, but this time there is no change and no sound..
I think I'll install the latest official ROM and MCU and see what happens. I think its a hardware issue, however its a bit tricky to diagnose...
Andy
I had the same problem with Malaysk v6.
I installed another rom an all is ok now, the problem disappeared.

I installed Malaysk's latest 7.3 version this morning - still no sound. Installed the latest factory image and performed a full wipe and still no sound. I guess I have a faulty unit?
There is a circuit board inline in the audio cable where the RCA's connect that I am not sure about?
Andy
I am having the same issue. the sound was working great and then... Poof. it stopped working.

Link above is the model head unit i bought. is there anyway to get it working again?
I did install an updated MCU per
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...ent/mod-cs-x-mod-mtcd-e-mcu-firmware-t3816042
and it did not seem to change anything.
The screen works, all apps work, volume shows it is turning up and down but nothing out of the speakers. see video link of the issue below.

Thanks everyone! any help would be Great!

Android Pie handsfree problem

I have this problem with the Android Pie version on both MIUI versions. After a few minutes the cell phone is disconnected from the handsfree car radio. Bluetooth media continues to work and voice call also works, but it does not connect to the car radio in handsfree mode although I can speak through it. Sometimes I can't even connect with it but only the phone mode. I've tried everyting, clean install and wipe everything on the car radio, but no luck. It works perfect on the Oreo version of 10.0.2.0 but all the Pie versions have this problem. From what I found it looks like there is some problem on Android Pie about the handsfree bluetooth issue, but most of the people report that after the Security Patch update of October, all the issues are gone, but for me the issue remains. My car radio is based on R-link 2 from renault, which is based on Android. Does anyone knows how to handle this? Thanks.
