Yes you got to flash SuperSU for root

Magisk is better. It has MagiskHide, passes Safetynet and definitely has no safety risks. If you want to know more, head to r/AndroidRoot and write "supersu" in your post. The bot will tell you everything.

My device is on RR-OS RR-N-v5.8.3 with android 7.1.2
I use only Magisk for rooting, and installed sony module and remoteplay module, and then I set the hide magisk with remote play related apps (remoteplay and dualshock)
but whenever I try to open the app error code 88001003 is keep appearing and I searched for it, could find it's from root detection but I didn't even install any other SU or root system.
Cos I clean installed RROS after turning it back to stock firm,
could anyone please help to find solution for this?
I am trying to figure it out for few days but still couldn't

That seems to be fine, I'd suggest uninstalling the app and try to install this one:

I've tried it when I was using stock kernel, this app isn't 2.00 so doesn't work anymore.
I just tried it in case, as I guessed it gives error like this app need to be updated

format data,wipe system,data,cache,dalvic. flash rom and magisk. boot and setup android and than flash gapps.

Flash rom and opengapps. Reboot, setup phone. Flash magisk after setting up the phone to avoid bootloop. And no fc for me.

Take in count first that this rom is early beta, It´ll have way more bugs than MIUI stable rom. Todays release fixed some nfc bugs and apps fc.
It still has bugs and a long way to be stable release. I cant test every feature to find bugs cuz i have no time. If you find any bug report here and i´ll PM the Dev with this information.

As far as i have been using it, since the experimental release, i had no problems except some apps crashing. Apart from that headphones,proximity,auto brightness, doze display, all this is working perfectly.
Have you tested this rom with benchmark?

I don't know what's up with Magisk and Data mount bug, it has been there with every Pie ROM
But I can help you to install Magisk and root.
Install Magisk Manager
Here is the link to Boot image which needs to be flashed
Download ADB & Fastboot files in computer
Put boot.img into ADB & Fastboot folder
Put your phone in Fastboot mode
Connect phone to computer
Open cmd and type fastboot.exe flash boot boot.img
Now restart
You'll have Magisk Root installed

Update: just realized my gcam app and Snapchat aren't working. If anyone has a magisk module or some sort of work around for this please let me know! I can do without for now but I'm sure there has to be some sort of fix for this

cant remember, went back to 12.1.0. it flashed though
I rooted my phone yesterday. I am running android 13 nov sp (pixel experience plus). I installed many magisk modules. I will post the ss of the modules. I made sure I downloaded them from their Github pages. Today I noticed my privacy dots aren't working and the torch toggle says camera in use. I want to know if I am hecked or if thats like a failsafe trigger on android side after rooting.
