Are you one of those people that hate the new Facebook Messenger features? Such as My Day? Continue reading to find out how to disable/downgrade the Messenger app!
METHOD 1 (XPOSED FRAMEWORK AND ROOT REQUIRED!)
If you have a rooted device with Xposed Framework installed then this method is for you!
1. Download this Xposed Module: "My Day Off Messenger Xposed" [NOTE: Unfortunately this app is NOT FREE!] (I have tested this app and it works 100% perfectly).
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.john.mydayoffxposed
2. Enable the module in Xposed Installer.
3. Reboot!
4. Done!
METHOD 2 (NO ROOT REQUIRED!)
If you do not have root access and do not have Xposed Framework installed on your device then don't give up yet! There is still an alternative! (I have tested this method)
NOTE: Make sure that you have "Auto-update apps" turned off. To do this open the "Play Store" then click on the three lines at the top left hand corner of the screen and select "Settings" then at the top under the "General" section select the "Auto-update apps" and change it to "Do not auto-update apps".
1. Uninstall the current version of Facebook Messenger that you have installed.
2. Download this Facebook Messenger version:
ARM devices (For most devices like the Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 etc...)

X86 devices (Very uncommon, for devices like the Acer W500 Hybrid Tablet and other supported devices)
Link: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/facebo...90-0-0-14-70-3-android-apk-download/download/
3. Install the Messenger.apk file that you downloaded.
4. Sign back in to Messenger!
5. Done!

Installing Xposed Framework on Stock ROM without Custom Recovery on UMI Iron Pro
Requirements
FlashFire Beta - Read Post #2.
XposedInstaller_*.*_alpha*.apk (replace '*' with latest versions) - Found here.
xposed-v**-sdk22-arm64.zip (once again replace '*' with the latest version) - Found here.
Steps
Download both 'XposedInstaller_*.*_alpha*.apk' and 'xposed-v**-sdk22-arm64.zip' (found above).
Install 'XposedInstaller_*.*_alpha*.apk'
Launch FlashFire and tap the (+) button at the bottom of the app.
Select "Flash ZIP or OTA" then locate the 'xposed-v**-sdk22-arm64.zip' (./MyFavorite/ on the UMI Iron Pro), you will then see a new menu, leave everything unchecked and continue.
Tap on the EverRoot menu and make sure that all items are unchecked.
Leave the Reboot option on Normal then tap the lightning bolt.
Your device will reboot multiple times (even when it starts the optimising apps screen), just leave it alone.
Once your device has rebooted completely you may open up the "Xposed Installer" app and verify it has installed successfully.
Notes / Issues
This was tested on "Build Number: UMIIron Pro v3.01" (Build Numbers can be found under Settings > About Phone).
Currently SnapPrefs isn't working on the UMI Iron Pro. This could be caused by SnapPrefs or XPOSED, I'm unsure.
FAQs
Nothing yet. -.-
How to join the FlashFire Beta
Requirements
Google Account
Steps
As this software is beta, you will have to join the beta community found here.
Once you have joined, using the same Google account go to this page and select "Become a tester".
Now that your a beta tester, you might be able to view the application on the Play Store, but don't worry if you can't just click here.
FAQs
The Play Store link provided is broken, has it been removed? I can safely say that it's not, make sure you have joined both the Google Community and Beta Tester program.
Can you provide the APK? No, but you can probably find it using Google just watch out for harmful repacks.

For those who have problems with notifications using ZUI here is a possible solution that I found in one of the XDA forums.
Need: Root (Magisk)
(I think there is no way to revive notifications if they are not root)
you'll need magisk then flash this 2 modules;
1)quickswitch
2)shady launcher
(Both available here)
1)flash those 2 & reboot.
2)open quickswitch app & choose shady launcher then reboot.
3)go to setting>apps>default app>home app>shady launcher.
4)open security>autostart>enable for *your apps*
5)security>acceleration>setting>protection list>add *your apps*
side notes : setting>notification>notification management>*your apps*>allow
this fixes should/might be working for other device running ZUI CN too.
Click to collapse
With that all (I think) notifications will work
But since not everything can be good, it has its bugs.
Bugs:
(Only using third party launchers like Nova Launcher, Smart Launcher, Microsoft Launcher, etc))
1.- Screenshot option not working
2.- Delete backround not working
3.- Tap to back to apps not working
Solution= Use Shady Launcher xd
Edit: Probably some are saying: "This works with any installable launcher as a system"
And correct, if it works with any launcher systemless xd
If you don't like Shady Launcher because of how dated it looks then I'll also give you Lawnchair Systemless (With this, unlike the previous one, if third-party launchers work)
Edit 2: Quickswitch is not necessary, you can skip it if you want.
Edit 3: Excuse my english, I use google translate xd
Edit 3: If for some reason it doesn't let you choose a default launcher when you go to startup, then go to the following address:
Settings > Apps Management > Defaults Apps > Home app > Select launcher systemless

This would be all, I hope it works for you and again, sorry for the lousy writing.
